PFM Christmas in September

Can you believe it - almost the hottest day of the year and we're doing Christmas!!   But, when you're using cute images like this from Colour of Love, what's not to love!

Yes, our sponsors for this week's Christmas in September challenge over at Passion for Markers here are Colour of Love who are going to be offering the lucky winner three digi images!

I've used Sleeping  Holiday  Fred Gnome which you can find here on the Colour of Love site. I've coloured him with Copics then teamed him up with a fab selection of Stampin Up, K&Co and My Mind's Eye papers.  The image comes with a black border so I've added black mats for the paper layers.
The little sentiments are from Marianne Designs - Christmas Carols EC0198.

Don't forget to check out the makes of my DT pals here - super super!  And, don't forget to use Markers on your makes and tell us which ones you've used.

Passion for Markers Clean and Simple

Hi folks

I'm a little late in sharing my card for our latest challenge at Passion for Markers - I'm down in Norwich at the minute helping my sisters look after our very poorly Dad.

Anyhoo, this is my card for our current Clean and Simple themed challenge over at Passion for Markers here.  I've used one of our sponsor images, Valentine, from Sheepski Designs, and you can see more fab creations using Sheepski images from my teamies over on PFM HQ.

Our generous sponsor this week is Sheepski Designs and they are offering one lucky winner 3 digi images of their choice from their online store.  Most of the DT have used images from Sheepski Designs on their creations this week.

The distressed edge DL frame is from Marianne Designs (CR1569) and the sentiment is an older Stampin Up one.

I do hope you will find some time to create something for the challenge, and I look forward to seeing what you create.

Hugs, Juliexx

Passion for Markers Things with Wings

Our new challenge starts today over at a Passion for Promarkers with a great theme of Things with Wings as chosen by our lovely Marlene.  I've gone with a fairly simple design with this Stamping Bella image which I've fussy cut and laid over a print I made with this Hero Arts background stamp a while ago.  The sentiment is Stampin' Up and then I added a few dots of highlighter pen in her hair and some gold pearl drops for extra dimension.

Our sponsor this week is the fabulous Di's Digi Stamps who are offering our lucky winner a $6 voucher for their store.

You can check out the winged beauties of my PFM teamies here then I do hope you'll come and join in the challenge.

A Floral card today!

This is my card for my sister's birthday last week.  I made the background in a great online Eileen Godwin workshop which I haven't yet finished!   More inspiration was taken from the fabulous Chrissy Ballingal on Facebook here - love her style.  Do check out the wonderful creations of these two ladies - I think they create beautiful pieces!

I've used a Visible image stencil and gesso for the background with distress sprays.  I've then added the die cut flowers which are a Honey Bee Cone Flower Die Set.  The sentiment is from a PaperTrey Ink set.

I also made my sister a sunflower throw which I'll share soon!

Passion for Markers Traditional Christmas Colours

Ther's nothing like some lovely traditional Christmas colours at this time of year which is just as well as it is the theme chosen by my lovely teamie Sue for this week's challenge at Passion for Markers. There's also something to be said for a traditional image which this sort of is as a Gingerbread lady - Noel Tannenbaum from our sponsor this week, Colour of Love,

My papers are some Stampin Up pads that I picked up in a charity shop a little while ago - hole in the head springs to mind but I can't resist a bargain!  The Poinsettia and sentiment are both from Marianne Designs - details below.

Christmas Carol Sentiments - EC0198 - New and already a firm favourite!
Poinsettia Die - LR0779 a new this year die set!

As I mentioned, this week's sponsor is the Colour of Love Digi images and they are offering the lucky winner a choice of 2 images from their online store.

You can see how the DT have used their images this week here and then I hope you will come and play along!

We're Happy at Passion for Markers

Morning folks, it's Tuesday, so it's time for our new challenge at Passion for Markers. And, it's my turn to host the challenge, so I've chosen a really easy theme of Happy!

We're being sponsored by the Paper Shelter this week, so we've been lucky enough to use one of their images - so interesting to see all the different makes by my teamies.  She is the gorgeous Trekking Girl and was perfect for a friend of mine's birthday up here in The Lake District as she loves her walking.
I've used Autumn Whispers Papers from American Crafts and coloured with a mix of Copics and Promarkers.  The sentiment is Lili of the Valley and the scalloped border die  is from Marianne set LR0637.

As mentioned, we are being sponsored by The The Paper Shelter and they are offering one lucky winner 3 digi images of their choice from their online store.

Check out the fab makes of my teamies here and then come and show us your Happy!!

Pin-Up in Purple

I think Pin Up is one of my favourite Mo's Digital Pencil image so I decided to give her an outing.  I also fancied a bit of purple and orange colouring!

The papers are a mix of Basic Grey Konnichiwa and Plumeria and the sentiment is a Stampin Up one. The whirly flowers  are a die from Cut-Ies.

Feeling a bit meh today, it's raining, and actually not sure that I even feel like crafting!  Might do a few housework jobs to try and feel motivated!
Hope you're coping ok with this horrible virus.

Sympathy cards

It's so difficult making a sympathy card but I think a poppy image is a very good place to start.  This stamp and sentiment is from a Stampin Up set  and the script background is a new Marianne mixed media set - French Script- MM1627.

Off to my craft room now as the  weather is pretty pants here so can't be in the garden.

Sequins, Gems or Pearls anyone?

Our new challenge starts today over at Passion For Promarkers HQ and our lovely Shelly has chosen this lovely, easy theme of Sequins, Gems and/or Pearls.
I've used this gorgeous Oak Fairy image from Mo's Digital Pencil  and a few sequins have finished it off nicely!

I've made the background papers with a stunning skeleton leaf stamp which is new from Marianne Designs - stamped and embossed and then I've added my inks to highlight the lovely veins of the leaves!  The oak leaf die cuts are also new from Marianne Designs as is the circle web die framing the image.  Details below:

Mo's Grad Girl for our Emily!

Woah!  We've just had the glorious few days with our Emily home and the weather has been glorious!  We finished off with a BBQ last night and Nick has just taken Em and Jack to Carlisle to carry on their journey with a visit to Jack's family in Edinborough.

This image , Glad Grad Girl from Mo's Digital Pencil was perfect to give Em her congratulations for achieving a First in her Art Degree from Camberwell School of Arts.   As the card says, so proud of her (a Stampin Up sentiment).  The papers are V&A William Morris papers, the Oh Em Gee stamp is so appropriate and is from Mama Elephant.

The arty brush strokes and cross hatches are Marianne Mixed Media stamps ( MM1608/1624 and EC0162) as is the little scroll (LR0419).

And, I finally found a use for a box of die-cut squares that I bought from Hobbycraft nearly 15 years ago when I first started making cards!  I stuck a few together and added a tassel to make the mortar board!!

Always so sad to see them go but we will see Em next month when we head south for her graduation ceremony.
Have a great weekend.

Spring is in the Air

Today's card is for our new challenge starting today at Passion for Promarkers.  The theme, chosen by yours truly this week, is Spring.  So I just want to see anything that reminds you of spring - Spring flowers, spring colours, spring images!

I've chosen this gorgeous tulip image from Mo's Digital Pencil - Boo and Tulips - tulips and daffodils always remind me of spring, although it should be daffodils first! The daffodils are just starting to bloom here in The Lakes - I love seeing the swathes of them by the roads and in the fields, always a sure sign that spring is coming!

As you can see, I went with a very simple design, unusual for me but when I layered up my coloured image onto the paper my card looked finished.

The paper is  from the  Celebrations pad by Marianne Designs - PK9131 -  and the sentiment is from Stamping Up.

We have one of our regular sponsors this week  -  Digi Stamp Boutique - with a great prize of a £10 voucher to spend in their store!!

DSB

My teamies at PFP have made some stunning cards to inspire you so you can check them out here.

Looking forward to visiting you and seeing all that Spring loveliness!

Pretty Purse Mo Manning and Marianne - my favourite Ms!!!! (Apart from my Em!)

This is such a gorgeous image from Mo and now that Christmas is over I've found some time to make a proper girly card with her - she's called Pretty Purse and can be found here in Mo's store. I've also just received my yummy January goodies from Marianne Designs so have used lots of those too.
Now, as part of my DT pack from Marianne, I received a sheet of this fabulous Roses paper from their Sweet Romance pack - so I only had one sheet!  I normally tend to stick things down as I go along and sometimes regret it as  it prevents me from doing something else!  So, this time, I thought, don't stick it down yet, don't stick it down yet and I didn't and placed my centre panel using this single sheet of rose  to one side.  Carrying on I felt the insides of the side panels needed matting, so hunted amongst the mess on my workspace to find a piece of the pink card I was using for matting.  Duly found it and cut one piece with the wavy edge ........and then turned it over to find it was the piece of card with my ONE piece of roses paper!!  Now if I'd stuck it down as I usually do........!
So I had to use ribbon and the wavy die from the set I was using to cover up!
Anyway, here is a full list of the Marianne goodies I used, including this fabulous and new rose bouquet die which I just love!

Marianne Products used:

Sweet Romance Papers - PK9153 (new)
Anja's Ornamental Border Design Folder/Die combo - DF3443 (new)
Frame Die - LR0371
Mirror Die - LR0321
Rose Boquet Die  LR0505 (new)

The sentiment is PTI and cut with a Stampin Up punch.

I'm entering my card into the following challenges:

As You Like It Challenge - Anything Goes
Cute Card Thursday - Something new (Dies, Papers, Image)
Seize The Birthday  - Anything Goes (with Birthdays!)
Simon Says Wednesdays - Patterned Paper (Yes, my one piece!!)

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Petra's Circle with Bird die set - LR0457
