I'm Heartless!!

Just popping in to share a card I made with a gorgeous Mo Manning image - Heartless.  Just click on the link to find her in Mo's Digital Pencil.

I so love the expression on her face, slightly bored and resigned to the fact that she's lost her heart or maybe she's just heartless!!
Well in my world, she's lost her heart to someone and it's been locked up in this Tim Holtz birdcage.  You can just see here that I've added a few jump rings to make it look like a chain.
The papers are DCWV Mariposa and the sentiment is computer generated cut with a nestie banner label.
I need to catch up with my blogging tonight so hope to stop by some badly neglected blogging buddies! Loads of love,

Buy one Sweet Treats get 1-2-3 Free!!!

Yep, I've pulled a double and my card is for the new challenge at CES Challenges - Candy and Cupcakes, and at Basic Grey - a  1,2, 3 challenge - 1 Image, 2, Papers and 3 Embellishments.  Well, cough, cough, I've had to stretch the last one and have interpreted it as 3 or more embellies as I went a bit overboard (ssshhh, don't tell!). My Basic Grey papers are Euphorbia and Sweet Threads with the image of course being a gorgeous LOTV fairy.  I'm entering it into the challenge over on Lils Little Fairies as I've followed the sketch for their latest challenge.
From Crafty Emma's store, I've used the card blank, my flex and Promarkers - which Emma currently has a great deal on for the single markers!  Also from the store are the pins (on offer too), the floral button, dew drops and the mini blossoms. The sentiment is Lili of The Valley and the rest is from stash!
Over at Crafty Emma's, there's a £10 voucher on offer for one lucky crafter to spend in Crafty Emma's Store - with lots of fab offers on as Emma clears down her stock.

Over at Basic Grey Challenges, the prize is a $25 dollar voucher to spend with our regular sponsor, Simon Says Stamp.

You can check out the cards made by the fab girlies on both teams, here at Basic Grey Challenges and here at CES Challenges.

Colour Create - Rose Pink, Kraft and White

I've just about dried out now after a very wet and windy day here yesterday, I think I saw an ark floating down the Thames!!
Anyhoo, it's time for our new challenge at Colour Create and this fortnight we have a beautiful colour combo as chosen by our fab Kerry, which is ROSE PINK, KRAFT AND WHITE with the optional extra of masking. And here's your photo inspiration:

26 April - Challenge 95 - Kerry - Rose Pink, Kraft and White

I think my pink is a bit more shocking than rose but then roses come in all different shades of pink!!  My image is a gorgeous Crafts and Me rubber stamp called Crimson Rose which I then masked off and stamped the background script using a Stampin Up large stamp.

Because this made the image quite busy, I decided not to use any design papers and just matted it up onto a square edged with this Fiskars corner and border punch combined.  So wish they did more of these, or that they were available more readily in the UK as it is just about the simplest corner/border combo to use. The ribbon was from stash and I also found the jewel centrepiece in my stash when sorting stuff the other day! The Kraft card blank was a purchase from Ally Pally.

My lovely teamies at Colour Create have made some wonderful cards to share with you so do pop on over to the challenge blog here.
Not sure about this new blogger style at the minute but no doubt will get used to it!!
Don't forget your pacamac if your out and about today!!

Whiff of Joy Challenge - HOUSE!!

No we don't want to see houses, we just have a Bingo challenge for you at Whiff of Joy Challenges this fortnight- so choose any three design elements in a line, horizontally, vertically or diagonally, to use on your card.  I tell you, I found it hard to choose only three! I eventually went with the diagonal line of Dies/punches, pearls and flowers.
Bingo 25th April
I used Princess Rosebud for my card, she is so gorgeous!!

I think I used almost every die in my stash on this - well, not really but there are plenty of them!  Firstly I used a Go Create die to cut my card blank and the concentric layers.  The image was cut with a Nestie labels die and framed at the top with a Marianne die.  The flourishes are also a Marianne die, the butterfly is a Martha Stewart punch and sentiment was cut with a Stampin Up circle punch.  My papers are by Tilda which are sooooo pretty and the sentiment is Lili of the Valley.

Added a touch of glamour dust to the flowers and butterfly, oh and  to her tiara and pearls and she was ready for the ball!

Our sponsor for this fortnight is Simon Says Stamp and there's a $25 voucher up for grabs to spend in their on-line treasure trove!
You can see more WOJ wonders from the fabby DT girls here and if you're playing along, please don't forget that we need to see a Whiff of Joy image on your make!

Sketch N Stash Challenge No 86

Hiya - time for our new sketch challenge at Sketch N Stash with a fabulous sketch designed by our fabby Doreen.

We're being sponsored this fortnight by Crafty Emma's Store where you can find lots of bargains at the minute ( sadly due to the store closing but not yet!)
Crafty Emma's Store...
I finally succumbed to a few of these gorgeous digi Wryn images from Tiddlyinks and this is Watcha Doing!!  As you can see, I adjusted the sketch very slightly and pulled the ribbon strip to the front just so she could rest her teeny little hands on the ribbon edge!
I've used lots of goodies that I purchased at Alexandra Palace the other week, including the Memory Box flourish tree frame - I was so determined to use it that put it on it's side but think it looks like leaf swirls so actually more versatile than I first thought! The flowers are a mixture from Wild Orchid Crafts and Crafty Emma's store to which I've added a touch of stickle glitter around the edges. The gingham ribbon was another purchase from the store, Tiger, and so cheap - think it was a £1 for big reel of it!
My papers are My Minds Eye On the Bright Side ( I think!) and another newish purchase!  The oldest item I think are the pearls and the sentiment!!  Oh and I think, the flower strip, which was cut with a Martha Stewart punch that I've had quite a while now.
Well, that's all I've got to show you for now but if you'd like to see some gorgeous makes from the rest of the SNS DT, hop on over to here. Hope you'll enjoy using the sketch, just don't forget to point out your new and older items of stash used!
Have a great week once Monday's out of the way!

Button it at CES Challenges!!

Thank goodness it's Saturday - such a busy week at work,  and the rain we've had in London - don't think I'll need to be getting my watering can out this weekend!!

This week's theme at CES Challenges has been set by our gorgeous Jennifer  which is to use  lots of buttons on your card ( well at least 2!).  I've used Mistress Mary, another fabby new digi image from Mo Manning which you can find here at Mo's Digital Pencil

These fabulous papers are from the MME Miss Caroline Dolled Up paper pad and Emma has a 25% of all her papers at the moment so go to the store here and see what she's got in stock!
Also from the store are the little Cherry Blossom flowers, the flower buttons, divine twine and the Websters netting (although I don't think this is in stock any more). The sentiment is also from Crafty Emma's - a Cats Life Press stamp. The little yellow floral button by her hair is a vintage button from my stash and the colour was perfect for the papers!

Do play along with us this week, Emma is offering a £10 voucher to the lucky winner - and with the special offers going on, you could get more bang for your buck!!

My fabby teamies at CES Challenges have made some gorgeous cards for the challenge - click here to take a look!
Have a great weekend all you lovely peeps - oh and welcome to my new followers, so happy to see you!!

Come shake your booty with us at Mo's Dream Team!!

Your craft booty that is- although you're very welcome to shake any other booty your might have!  Yes, it's time for our monthly blog hop at Mo's Dream Team and this month's theme has been chosen by our awesome Heidy, which you have probably guessed by now is to make a Shaker card!
Hopefully, you are hopping along with us and should have arrived here from  a no doubt fabulous shaker card on  Jane's blog.  If not, and you want to hop along ( whilst shaking your booty of course!) go back to the beginning to Heidy's blog, who I'm sure will have an awesome make to share with you.  After me the next stop on the hop is  Debby 4000, who will also amaze and inspire you, I'm certain!!

I've used this fabulous new image from Mo called Bubbles Boy- I do love him so, and there's also the cutest Bubbles Girl who is going to be next on my list to get!!
Absolutely ages ago I bought these little glass beads from Tiger as I thought they looked just like bubbles but they are a bit big for a shaker card so I kept having to build up the sides of my frame with about four layers of foam tape!!  It then looked very untidy so had to make a casing to go round it to hide all the tape!  The pic below gives a little side view to give you some idea of the faffing involved!!
I also added in some translucent sequins which also look a little bubble like and shake much better than the beads!!  The beads on wire were bought very cheaply ages ago from Hobbycraft, again with a bubble blowing theme in mind - I'm so happy that Mo has given us these bubble blowing beauties!!

I also used an 8x8 card black as I didn't want to make the image too small behind the frame.  My papers are a real mixture of Papermania Portabello Road and October Afternoon (Dime Store, I think).  Keeping along the bubble theme I've used a MS Punch around the Page Bubble set, whilst the bunting is a Stampin Up punch.
Well, I hope you made it this far  - thanks for your patience!  Don't forget to leave a comment on each DT blog post as somewhere amongst us are hidden two $5 vouchers to spend in Mo's Digital Pencil!!!  Just a reminder here too, that your next stop on the hop is here at Debby 4000.
Happy Hopping and Shaking!!!

A Twofer Tilda

Hello there - a bit late this morning but my card today is my DT card for two new challenges at Basic Grey Challenges and CES Challenges.
As Basic Grey we want to see Spring Colours and at CES Challenges it's all about Paper Piecing. I've also done a  bit of masking and sat Tilda in her little car and paperpieced both her car and Tilda's little dress and hair bow!
My Basic Grey papers are Indie Bloom, purchased from Crafty Emma's store, along with my petals, cherry blossoms, pearls and pins, and of course you can also get your  Flex and Promarkers there too!  Watch out for some bargains at Emma's in the coming weeks - very sadly, Emma has decided to close down her store to concentrate on her gorgeous baby, Olivia - so sad for all of us, but I'm sure the right thing to do for Emma and her family!

I've also used  Memory Box dies for the tree and corner flourishes, the sentiment is by Stampin Up and ribbon from stash.
If you play along with us at CES Challenges, you could win a £10 voucher to spend in Crafty Emma's Store.

Over at Basic Grey Challenges, we have our regular sponsor, Simon Says Stamp
with the offer of a $25 voucher to spend with them.
