LOTV Boy with Present

I managed to get some time for a little Lili of the Valley a few days ago!  I love their stamps but don't use them nearly enough!  This was for one of my little great-nephews birthdays.
I've cut the stitched wavy borders with a Marianne Border die - CR1361. And don't you just love it when you've borrow a friend's die and cut some shapes at their house and the colours are just perfect for the project you're working on!!   The papers are from a lovely pad called Bella and Boo from Trimcraft.

We've had Violet for a sleepover last night and have her for the day - she loves a cafe, so we're off to the garden centre and a cup of tea this morning!

Marianne Silhouette Stamps

I've been practising making backgrounds with various inks and the new Silhouette Stamps from Marianne Designs make the perfect scenes - especially for Lake District type scenic cards!
I made this one by inking through a circle so you get a nice crisp edge and then adding the trees at the edge.  These stamps are from the Woodland Set - CS1014 and there are more sets coming out soon!!

The sentiment is by PaperTreyInk and I've used a mix of Distress Inks and Adirondack Inks for the mountain scene.

Passion for Promarkers Flower Challenge

Morning bloggers - it's my turn to set the challenge at Passion for Promarkers this week and I've chosen one of my favourite things to use on cards - Flowers!  So you can use floral papers, floral images, embellishments - what you like as long as you use your Promarkers or Flexmarkers etc.

I've chosen this gorgeous new Mo's Digital Pencil image called Bubble Love - isn't she adorabubble!!
I've added some Glossy Accents to her heart bubble so you get a nice bit of shine!!

The Marianne floral circle die and the flowers and leaves are all from a new set, which is just so pretty - details below!  And the little hearts that I scattered on  my card are the waste from the floral circle cut out - so don't throw them away!!!

A Wintery Scene with Marianne Dies and Brushos

This is another Christmas card I made with Brushos and some Marianne Dies simply cut in white card with some gold for the lights in the windows and some Chunky White and Shabby White Frantage for the snow detail.

I love the night twilight sky effect you get with Brushos and you never really know what you're going to get so I love just doing it and cutting the best pieces from the paintwork to fit the scene.

Fir Trees on Horizon Dies - CR1287
Fences and Village - CR1288

Getting Alcohol inky with Inkylicious!

It was my baby's birthday in the week (she's 24 now!) and always think I have to get a little arty with her cards, as she is in her final year studying art at Camberwell School of Art in London!  (I'm sure she must laugh when she sees my attempts!  Anyhoo, I resorted to Alcohol, the inky kind as opposed to the drinking kind, and made my background using mostly the light blues/lilacs with some Rose Gold mixative which is such a lovely pinky, goldy, silvery colour as below!

I then hunted out my Inkylicious stamps and thought this eye with it's sentiment would be just perfect for an artist.

I mounted the Yupo piece on a slightly metallic matt and then a dark blue one, and that was it - and quite pleased I was too!

Happy Birthday my lovely!

Hugs, Juliexx (Although I want to say Mum!)

Hunkydory Products - a new range to me.

I was delighted recently when Hunkydory contacted me and asked if I'd like to try some of their products - and as I've not really used them before, of course I said yes!!  I've always heard really good things about their Adorable Scorable paper too although I'm not reviewing that here.

I am reviewing their stamp sets though and I chose this one because of our Violet loves ice-cream!   The set is called Ice Cream Fundae and I love it!  It comes with the van, some sentiments and lots of  different ice-cream/ice lolly stamps!

I've coloured  it with  my promarkers and then added some sunshiny papers and frame die-cut with a Memory Box die. The ice cream button and sweet embellies are from stash and the Fab ice-cream stamp comes with the set!  I have to say, the stamps are great - I got a good image first time, and the sentiment especially stamped really well and clear!
I have a couple more stamp sets and some dies to use too, so watch this space!

New challenge day at PFP!

Yay, it's time for our new challenge at Passion for Promarkers and our theme  is right up my street - use your dies and/or punches!!

I started with this wonderful image from Mo's Digital Pencil - Tweetie - and it comes with the sentiment! So when I printed out my image, I just added the sentiment  and printed it out together - job done!

The dies I've used  are for a folding card from Marianne designs but I just used the basic die to cut out the front panel of my card neatly.  I've then used the more ornate dies from the set to decorate the inner panel and have included a white panel to write my message.

The papers are from Craftwork Cards and I've added die cut feathers and a vintage button which was the perfect colour match.

Marianne Products Used

Folding Square Card - LR0571
Feathers Die Set - CR1412

Our fabulous sponsors this week are Dr Digi's House of Stamps and the winner will be able to choose two images of their choice from their online store!
