Passion for Markers Frame It Challenge

I seem to have lost a day this week!  Should have posted this yesterday to mark the start of our new challenge at Passion for Markers set by our lovely Lorraine - Frame It. And what is more suitable for a frame than a photograph taken with this Polaroid Digi Stamp from our sponsors this week Dr Digi's Stamps - it's called Birthday Cheese!

Not sure who's make the Happy Birthday frame die is from as I bought it from a friend having a destash.  The papers  are by Simple Stories  and called Summer Fresh.   And of course there's one or two Marianne Design products in there too - details below.

Spotlight Post for Marianne Designs New Home card

The DT at Marianne Designs are shining the spotlight on the new Tea Pot and Mug Die set released this month.  I've made mine as a new home card- nothing like a fresh cup of tea once you've unpacked all the boxes!  As well as these gorgeous new papers and dies, I've rummaged through my stash to find some hooks to hang my mugs on - these came from a Pirate Die set - love finding the perfect tiny die to suit what I need!  Details below and you can find some more inspiration here on the Marianne blog

Foam Block Stamping with Lavinia Products

I absolutely love this foam block printing technique shown by Lavinia Stamps recently.  You heat the foam block with your embossing gun, then press a stencil or die into the foam which retains the impression.  You can then ink it up to make a stamping block.  So much fun and I intend to do it with my granddaughter later today as I know she will  love it!

The stencil and stamps are from Lavinia, and they also sell the foam blocks, but the sentiments are mostly PaperTrey Ink - hence the American spelling on neighbourhood! Such a great way to make some batch cards.

I've also made some with Marianne products which I'll share soon!

Passion for Markers Pretty Pastels

Hello folks, I can't believe that the last week has come and gone!  Hope you had a good Easter, we did here, with some lovely weather for the first three days anyway. We even managed a BBQ!

Anyway, on to today's card which is for our Pretty Pastels challenge starting today at Passion for Markers.  The theme was set by our lovely Lisa and you can check out the gorgeous team makes here.

I've used an old Sweet Pea Stamp in my stash and some probably just as old Kaisercraft papers - The Lake House. I do seem to have gone a bit old school all round as the frame and border dies are also some older Marianne Dies as below.

Rustic Tulips from Marianne Designs

As soon as I saw this new die set from Marianne Designs - CR1623 - I  knew wanted to make a rustic, naive art feel card.  So I got out my coloured core papers and sanding block and this is it.  Very simple and all made with the one die set including the frame.  I may put a sentiment on when I know who the recipient is!

It's part of the April 2023 release so should be about very soon!
