Happy 21st

Today's card was for my nephew who was 21 this  week and the last  of all our nieces and nephews to come of age - phew!!  I think there's more celebrating going on tonight for the youngsters in the family - I think I'll be safely tucked up in bed by the time they hit the town!!
Anyway, I've used the fabulous Aiden from Mo's Digital Pencil for my card as I felt the rather chilled image is a bit like Jasper!  He's a bit of a writer too hence the script paper and quill and ink - full list of what is Marianne below.

Marianne Products Used

Frame Die - LR0415
Quill and Ink Bottle Die- COL1375
Paper Scroll Die - LR0419
Numbers Die - CR1429

I cut the little clock, quill and script craft candy type embellies from the papers which I think are from a Prima Pad and the sentiment is Stampin Up I think.  And of course, I've used my Promarkers to colour him.
Sadly it's a rather wet and cold Easter Saturday here in the Lakes, such a shame as we have family visiting but they've still gone off for a bike ride so I might nip into my craft room for a bit!
Happy Easter everyone, whatever the weather and whatever you're up to!

Passion for Promarkers challenge Gorgeous Ginghams and Perfect Plaids

I just don't know where the last week has gone and that I've not posted for a week!  The weather here for the last few days has been glorious and we've spent a lot of time in the garden preparing it for the spring/summer.

I did find time to make this card though, for our new challenge starting at Passion for Promarkers this week  where our theme is Ginghams and Plaids.  I do love a bit of check so it was nice to be reminded to use it.

I've also used this fab image from Mo's Digital Pencil called Helping Flora and perfect for this time of year when we're getting the garden ready!  I wonder what sort of strawberry harvest we're going to have this year - that's my next garden job, clearing the vegetable garden!  I love these strawberry dies from Marianne - full deets below.

Colour Challenge at Mo's Digital Pencil Challenges on Facebook

My card today is for the latest Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge over on Facebook here. and we have a wonderful colour inspiration board for you:

Image may contain: flower and plant

I've made a shadow box using the wonderful Amanita and it's a card for my granddaughter, Violet's 2nd birthday today!  Although our Violet has blonde curls, I have seen this pensive expression on her face so many times that I had to use this little woodland sprite!  And, Violet loves playing with her animals with Grandad, hence this little woodland scene. As you can see, I've coloured the image using the colours in the inspiration board but have added some greenery too.  But that's ok as long as you use a Mo image and show that you've somehow been inspired by the board, come on over and join in the challenge.

I couldn't fit all my animal die-cuts on the front as it made it look a bit crowded but I did add this frog and a red squirrel to the back where I had written our greeting to our little treasure!

A full list of Marianne products used is below the Squirrel.

The papers are from October Afternoon - Schoolhouse 8x8 pad and the Happy Birthday stamp and die combo are from PTI.  And of course, there are a few Marianne Goodies there including the number, rosette, stars and stitched circle - full details below:

Spring is in the Air

Today's card is for our new challenge starting today at Passion for Promarkers.  The theme, chosen by yours truly this week, is Spring.  So I just want to see anything that reminds you of spring - Spring flowers, spring colours, spring images!

I've chosen this gorgeous tulip image from Mo's Digital Pencil - Boo and Tulips - tulips and daffodils always remind me of spring, although it should be daffodils first! The daffodils are just starting to bloom here in The Lakes - I love seeing the swathes of them by the roads and in the fields, always a sure sign that spring is coming!

As you can see, I went with a very simple design, unusual for me but when I layered up my coloured image onto the paper my card looked finished.

The paper is  from the  Celebrations pad by Marianne Designs - PK9131 -  and the sentiment is from Stamping Up.

We have one of our regular sponsors this week  -  Digi Stamp Boutique - with a great prize of a £10 voucher to spend in their store!!

My teamies at PFP have made some stunning cards to inspire you so you can check them out here.

Looking forward to visiting you and seeing all that Spring loveliness!

Bounty from Mo's Digital Pencil

This little lovely is called Bounty and, you've guessed it, it's a newbie from Mo's Digital Pencil!!  I used a sheet of paper from a Tilda pad and took my colour scheme from that -I do love a bit of blue and white.

I wanted to use this fabulous frame set from Marianne which is firm favourite already but I always print my digital images quite big and it was too big for the smaller dies.  So what I did was used the frame from the largest die to mark out the edges and then hand cut it- have to say really pleased that it worked!  Full list Marianne loveliness below.

Marianne Goodies Used

Lattice Frame - LR0483
Butterflies - LR0356
Love Birds - LR0298
Flower Basket - CR1209

The little sentiment is from Paper Trey Ink and fit perfectly into the teeny tag that comes with the basket!

Got to get cooking now as MIL is in for dinner!!

Birthday card using Marianne goodies!

How's everyone doing in the snow? I was down south and had to drive back from Guildford yesterday.  Had a really good run back despite the weather, just took it carefully and think it was good as so few cars about.  The roads were reasonably clear of snow although I did see a couple of accidents where people were clearly going too fast for the conditions.  Anyway, this was my card for my MIL who celebrated her birthday down in Guildford.  I decided to make it purely with my Marianne stash and managed to do this apart from the Fairy image which is from the Prima Fairy Belle paper pad.

I do love me some rolled flowers especially with a pearl popped in the centre.

I love this new Rose Bouquet die too! Full list of Marianne products is below.
