Sketch N Stash - our final sketch for 2012

Well we've made it safely to the last day of the year.  I'm back to work today, but it should only be a short day, not that we're doing anything tonight, I'm not one for parties or big celebrations.  We shall probably watch Jools Holland and hubby will go to bed early!!
This is our sketch for the challenge starting today at at SNS Challenges, as designed by our fabulous Janet.

As soon as I saw it  I knew that this gorgeous teddy bear trio from Lili of the Valley would be perfect - I bought them ages ago so they well and truly count for forgotten stash!

I've coloured them with my Promarkers, and used a little tip from my friend Alex, when she appeared on Create and Craft TV, demonstrating Copics!!  I sprayed a little Copics Blender onto an old flannel and then dabbed at the faces of my little bears to give that furry feel - what a great technique, thanks Alex - and you were fabulous on C&C!!

I've teamed them up with some My Mind's Eye, A Beautiful Life papers, a PaperTrey Ink die and stamp for the Sentiment, and a Magnolia die for the little bow strip.

Our sponsor for this challenge is My Mum's Craft Shop who are offering a £10 voucher to the lucky winner!

You can see the gorgeous makes by the rest of my SNS teamies here, and while I'm here, can I wish you all a wonderful, peaceful and healthy new year.

NOT a Christmas Card!!

Hi Everyone, I'm gradually getting back to normal after the festivities!  We had a great time with lots of lovely  presents and food!!  I hope to get back to normal in blogland too and catch up with you all soon!  First though, this is a card using  Big Present (girl) from Mo's Digital Pencil - were any of your presents that big!

I've coloured her with my Promarkers and tried to get as far away from Christmas colours as I possibly could!!
The papers are Stampin Up, as is the punched sentiment shape, while the actual sentiment is PTI.

We're off to see The Hobbit this afternoon in 3D, heard it's pretty good, will let you know later!
Enjoy your day, whatever you're doing!

Last Basic Grey Challenges Post of the Year!

Doh, I nearly forgot I was meant to post this today!!  This is a very quick and easy card for the new challenge at Basic Grey Challenges today and it's a nice and easy theme too of Anything Goes!!  I used Basic Grey  Jovial 6x6 papers for my card and cut out the baubles using dies from Stampin Up.  The Sentiment die and stamp are from PTI with the tinsel coming from Websters pages.

The Final Mo Dream Team Hop of 2012

Hellooooo and welcome to our hop at Mo's Dream Team- our last one for 2012.  Our fabulous Jane has chosen the theme of CAS for this month's challenge and it's another Christmas card from me although it may be my last of 2012.
I've used this fabby image, Henry with Wreath which you can find here in Mo's Online Store.
Can't take credit for the design - our Jak has already made an awesome card using the wreath as the letter  O in a word  which you can see here.

As I said it's CAS so nothing in the way of embellies, just some paper from a My Mind's Eye Christmas pad and some letter stamps from Dimension 4th  designs.  The other sentiments are from a Paper Trey Ink Stamp set.  Oooh it was hard not to add even a pearl or two - thanks Jane!!

If you're hopping along with us, you should have arrived here from Jane's blog, who is also the start of the hop and I bet she had something awesome to show you.  Your next stop is over to our       Debby Y's blog and I'm sure you'll be in for a treat there too!
Don't forget to leave a comment on each of the team's posts along the way as there will be a couple of spot prizes of a $5 dollar voucher to spend in Mo's store 'hidden' somewhere on two of the team's blogs.
Have fun hopping!!

I've used another new Lili of the Valley Christmas Image that has hardly seen any love or ink!  I'm so out of time at the minute though.
I've coloured her with my Pro and Flex Markers of course and then used some Vintage Photo and Old Paper Distress Inks to darken down the image around the glow of light shed by the lamp.  There's also some    gold Dabber on the edges for some soft sheen.
I think the papers are Memory Box (but I made the card over a fortnight ago and can't be sure now!)
The wooden snowflake and candle have been gilded up too.

And I Want A......

....an extra few hours in the day?  Well yes, but this is the name of this gorgeous Mo Manning image which you can find here in the on-line store.  Only one or two more cards to make for Christmas, and then of course, I need to write them (although I have done some!) It's all go at this time of year isn't it, I still have loads to do,  and have my family coming at the weekend for our Christmas get together. Still, it'll all be over in a couple of weeks!!  :)
Back to my card, I've coloured the image with Promarkers and Flexmarkers, the paper is from a My Mind's Eye pad as is the little greeting cut out. The Santa head was a purchase from  HobbyCraft.
I had to show a close up of the little guy's face - this would have been my daughter, Holly, when she was little - no way was she going to sit on  a strange man's lap like this!!  I love his dear little face!!

I have my work Christmas do tonight - you just wouldn't believe  what's been organised - think of a cross between pre-school and boot camp - you will enjoy yourselves!!!
I'm really not Bah Humbug, honest!!

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas at Basic Grey Challenges!

Morning - hopefully, this will be me today after I've spent the morning (and maybe some of the afternoon) Xmas shopping!    The card is for our new challenge at Basic Grey Challenges where we have a theme of It's Beginning to Look Like Christmas!
My image is from the magical pen of Mo Manning and is called Dani With Presents.  I've coloured her with Pro and FlexMarkers and my Basic Grey papers are from the  Little Black Dress 6x6 pad.
I've also added some snow flakes from a  Tim Holtz On The Edge Die, and also some Marianne Die Snowflakes.  The ruffled chiffon ribbon is also Tim  Holtz! And the pearl centres were courtesy of my matey Lesley!!xx
As always our fabulous sponsor, Simon Says Stamp, is offering a $25 dollar voucher to the lucky winner of our challenge.

Do come and play - you still need to make some Christmas cards don't you!!!  Just remember to use your Basic Grey stash items and tell us what they are!  You can see the rest of the BG team creations here - gorgeous they are!

Whiff of Joy - Snow!!!

Today's card and challenge theme at Whiff of Joy seems rather appropriate seeing that we had a fair bit of snow as I left for work this morning!  Sunny, blue skies now here in London - ah well!  Yes our theme for at Whiff of Joy Challenges is Snow so it has to feature somehow in your make. I've used the gorgeous Willow with Hot Chocolate stamp from Whiff of Joy - nothing like being all warm and toasty in doors when it's cold and snowing outside!

My window is cut with a Poppy (same company as Memory Box) Small Window die and I've added some glitter for the frosting and some rather pointed snow falling outside.
The paper is Webster's from one of their Christmas ranges but I've bundled mine all together so I can't tell you which one!  The sentiments are Lili of the Valley and Paper Trey Ink, with the rest of my embellies from stash.
Our sponsor this challenge is the always fabulous Simon Says Stamp with the always fabulous $25 credit voucher on offer for the lucky winner.  And as it's Christmas and we're now all so busy, the challenge will run until the January 3rd, so you have lots of time to play along!

As always, my fabulous teamies at WOJ Challenges have made some gorgeous snowy makes to share with you, so do go and take a peek at them here
Enjoy the rest of your day!!
