Sketch N Stash new challenge starting today - come and join us!

Another Monday but at least we have another bank holiday next week here in the UK!  Another Monday also means it's time for our new challenge at Sketch N Stash with the fab sketch below from our back catalogue. I have rotated it right to better suit the shape of my image layer.
The image I've used is one of my all-time favourites from Mo's Digital Pencil - Fairy Needle- I just love her!
I hooked out all my sewing related dies and embellies  to go with the Kaisercraft Needle and Thread papers.
There's a Memory Box Needle die, a Sizzix Needle and Thread die and Scissors, a Die-Versions Sewing Machine and a PaperTrey Ink mannequin stamp and die combo, along with the Tim Holtz On the Edge die.
The little flat back cotton reels were a gift from best matey, Lesley :)
We have not one but TWO fabulous sponsors for this fortnight's challenge, as below, great prizes, I'm sure you'll agree.

My final card as a Guest Designer for Sketch Saturday

Yes, this is my last card for my Guest DT spot over at Sketch Saturday - I've really enjoyed playing along with the fab team there - thanks for having me girls!
This week's sketch has been designed by the lovely Vanessa and here it is below.

I interpreted the column effect by positioning the flowers at varying levels across the page.   I cut them with a Spellbinder set of flowers and layered them up on some Prima papers from their Stationary pad.  The stems are from a Marianne flourish die and the sentiment is Hero Arts.
The fabulous sponsor of this week's challenge is Milk Coffee and they are offering 5 digi images to the lucky winner!

That's all from me for now, enjoy the rest of your weekend, I'm just off to do some colouring!xx

The Tramp by Mo Manning

I made this card for my niece's boyfriend's 21st birthday  over the weekend.  We had a whirlwind trip up to the Lake District actually, to celebrate their joint 21sts in the form of a Great Gatsby Party (pics at the end), which was a great success.  So I thought The Tramp would be just perfect for Sean's card.
Love these corner sentiment dies from Die-Versions but they don't show up too well against the papers I've used (Websters Pages) hence the close up.

The Charlie Chapline motif is cut from a Graphic 45 pad and the other dies I've used are Party Music from Memory Box, Film Clapperboard die from Whimsy Stamps and a film strip die from Tim Holtz.
You can find The Tramp here in Mo's store.
And here are a few pictures of the big day:
My two girls with our great-nephew Sam.

Son Harry didn't go for the obvious but went as the invitation with a scene from the Great Gatsby

Hubby Nick as Elliot Ness thinking he was enforcing prohibition!
And the birthday boy and girl themselves, Sean and my niece, Lily!

Passion for Promarkers - Sketch!

We have a new challenge starting today over at a Passion for Promarkers with a great sketch for you to work with from our gorgeous DT matey, Lou.

I've used this fab Lili of the Valley image from their Romance Sketch pad (which, sadly, now seems to be discontinued).  My papers are from a DCWV 8x8 pad, Garden Party, the panels behind my image are a Marianne die, as is the pink heart balloon, while the thin heart dies are from Impression Obsession.  The flowers are Kort and Godt and the tag sentiment is from Stampin Up.
Our sponsor this week is Letraset themselves who are giving the lucky entry a pack of 6 Flexmarkers!
And don't forget to check out the wonderful makes of my fabulous teamies here!

New Challenge at Sketch Saturday sponsored by A Day for Daisies

Happy Easter everyone.
This is my third card for my guest DT stint over at Sketch Saturday, and as this week's challenge is being sponsored by A Day for Daisies, I was lucky enough to be able to choose an image from their awesome catalogue!  The image I've used is the beautiful Fancy Dress Fairy and I've coloured her with my usual Pro and Flexmarkers.
This week's lovely sketch is below, I've just flipped it to show off my gorgeous Pink Paislee papers.

Because I didn't want to cover up the papers, I've been quite restrained with my embellishing, a few Kort and Godt Pinwheel flowers from Live and Love Crafts, a Tim Holtz Butterfly Border and another little Marianne die cut butterfly.I
Don't forget to take a peek at the beautiful cards made by the regular Sketch Saturday team here,

We've got a a big family birthday tonight, a la Great Gatsby style, so we're all dressing up with flapper dresses and short bobbed hair (and that's just the men!).
Enjoy your weekend!

April Blog Hop at Mo's - It's all about the Border

It's time for our monthly hop here at Mo's Dream Team and this month our theme is Borders, which can be made of flowers, die-cuts, doodled etc.

I've used one of Mo's gorgeous new images, Little Punk, - click on the link to find her, along with her fabulous fellow newbies!
Of course, she had to have red hair, being the little rebel that she is!  My border around the image is  a rope border/corner combo punch from Fiskars and the little border of pin wheel flowers are made from Memory Box dies.
I love her little outfit and her boots!
I've also used a Marianne Zip die either side of my image but it doesn't show up too well and the Sentiment is from an old Autumn Leaves set.

Hopefully, you should have arrived here from Gretha's blog, I know she'll have wowed with her card, and your next stop on the hop is the equally fabulous Heidy.
Ooh and don't forget to leave a comment on each of the DT's posts as there are 2 $5 vouchers hidden along the way, to spend in Mo's Store and one of them could be yours!

Here's the  full blog hop order in case you get lost  along the way

Happy Hopping!

Sketch N Stash new challenge

Morning all!  My card today is for our new challenge at Sketch N Stash using the fabulous sketch below.  As you can see, for some reason i decided to choose an image that didn't quite fit into the circle part of the sketch!  So've added the doily just behind to sort of replicate it.
My image is the fabulous To Grammy's from Mo's Digital Pencil which you can find here in Mo's store. I've coloured her with my Promarkers and then teamed her up with some Stampin Up papers.
The flowers are from Wild Orchid Cradfts and Live and Love Crafts.  The little tag is from Lili of the Valley and the sentiment stamp was a freebie from Craft Stamper Magazine.

We have two fabulous sponsors this week:
 Inky Impressions

Prize - $10
and
Buttons for Brains

Check out the rest of the DT's awesome cards here and then come and play along with us!!

Sketch Saturday Guest DT card week 2

My card today is for my second week of my guest DT spot over at Sketch Saturday.
I've used a wonderful image from A Day for Daisies called Water Talk which has been in my stash for ages but has not seen the light of day before- shocking!

She's coloured with my usual Promarkers and Flexmarkers and teamed up wth Some Alla Prima papers from Prima.  And, because I couldn't make the image round ( as it comes with a square frame around it), I used a Memory Box die to give the illusion of the circle in the sketch. Other dies include another Memory Box die, Wave Border and the little corner die is from the Joanna Sheen Signature range. The flower is a Cheery Lynn die, Sweet William, if my memory serves me right but don't rely on that!
I finished off with some Tulip Pearl Drops in her hair and to frame the image and border.

This week's sponsor is Simon Says Stamp and they have offered an AMAZING prize of a $25 voucher for the lucky winner! Do take a look here for the awesome makes by the Sketch Saturday girls!

I'm off to Ally Pally this morning, so excited, then hope to meet some friends for a late lunch after!  Enjoy your Saturday everyone, and thanks for popping in!

I'm entering my card into the following challenges:

My Time to Craft - All at Sea
Crafty Creations - Blues and Yellows
