Use 3 or more papers at Passion for Markers

I'm a little late posting today - I've had a  problem with broken eggs this morning!!   Anyway, my card today  is for our new challenge at Passion for Markers with a fabulous challenge to use three or more papers  - my kind of challenge!  I've used four papers from the Prima Introspection  pad.  My image is a Stamping Bella image - Brianna Butterfly.  I coloured her and then matched her up with the papers - a big no-no but it worked for me on this occasion!!

A few Marianne goodies used as per below - it's always good to mix and match your die sets - the oval die  from the lacy border set I wanted to use was a bit too small for the image so I found the pierced oval in another set which was just perfect!

Marianne Products Used

Pierced Edge Oval die - LR0376
Lacy Border Oval Die set - CR1446
Lace Border Die Set - LR0637

You can check out the makes of my teamies here and then do come and play along - we have a stunning prize from Dies To Die for!!

Tracy is offering one lucky winner a £15.00 voucher to spend in her online store.

Morty and Margareet Bottoms

Another stamp from Tracy Easson Illustrations - It Was Written In The Stars - featuring Morty and Margareet Bottoms!  Love!!  It would make a fab Valentine's card -except the hubster and I don't send them anymore! Think I may use this as a wedding card- I'll add the sentiment when I decide - the stamp also comes with lots of suitable fab words and phrases.

The papers are Botanical from Prima and the Wonky Stitched Frame is MFT .  There are also a couple of Marianne Products in there, as below.

Marianne Products Used

Decorative Oval frame set - LR0670
Fern Leaves - LR0403

It's also the first time in ages that I've used some flowers to decorate but I felt the need for some spring!!

Have a great week, and thanks for visiting.

Tolo from Mo's Digital Pencil - for Making Cards Magazine

This is the final of my cards made for Making Cards Magazine back in February - seems like another world!  This is Tolo from Mo's Digital Pencil and one of my all time favourite images from Mo.  My little granddaughter, Violet saw it when it was returned from it's photo shoot for the magazine and said she loved it so I kept it for her 4th birthday a couple of weeks ago and added her name and her age.  She's so excited to be 4 -missing her so much at the minute but had a little face time last night.  Mind you, all she wanted to do was speak to her Aunty Em who has come home for the duration.
The papers are Introspection from Prima and the sentiment is from the Kaisercraft You set.

I hope your keeping well and safe at the minute.

Saved Herself

Morning folks and Happy Saturday!  I love this image from Mo's Digital Pencil - partly because of the expression on her face and also because of the sentiment that comes with it!!   This is Saved Herself and doesn't she just look the business!

The dies are all Marianne, list below, and the papers are from Prima.

Oval Lace Frame Die - CR1446
Gates Die - LR0613
Book Die - LR0253

I used half of the book die for the sentiment and  cut the actual page by hand using the die as a guide.  Oh, and the cutlass is a really old Quickcutz die ( I think!).

Have a great weekend everyone - we have Emily and her partner, Jack, back home for a few days to celebrate her 25th birthday!  Can't believe she's 25!!

A little bit of Mixed Media

Something a bit different from me today - using an inky background made with Distress Oxides, and then stamped using a Prima stamp, and some Marianne Mixed Media Stamps -the splodges (Tiny Mixed Media stamps - Watercolour, MM1615,  and the butterflies, (Tiny's Butterflies 2 - MM1614).

I've then punched out lots of tiny flowers and butterflies from the same background papers and finished off with a little Stickles at the centre of each flower.

Make it Digital - Passion for Promarkers new year challenge

Well, after our month long Christmas challenge at Passion for Promarkers we have a new challenge starting today with a favourite theme of mine - use digital stamps  or sentiments.  Love Digital stamps!!  Love Mo Manning Digital Stamps even more and this is her newest!!  He's called Christmased and comes separately from the present and packaging as well as premerged!
I've used him as a congratulations card for a dear friend who has just become a Grandmother - on Christmas Eve - so the perfect Christmas present really!  The papers are Prima, the sentiment is from an Altnew set and the big luscious bow is from Marianne Designs - LR0447 is the catalogue number.

Check out the makes of my teamies here and then come and join in the challenge, we'd love to see you!  And don't forget to check out the PFP challenge blog later to see the winners of the bumper load of prizes we had for our Christmas challenge.

Child's Birthday at Passion for Promarkers

We had the most glorious day yesterday here in the Lakes and the farmer has started putting the new lambs into the field next to our house!  Spring has well and truly sprung, thank goodness!  My card for today is for our new challenge starting over at Passion for Promarkers where our theme this week is  a Child's Birthday.  Great choice of theme, Eileen!
I've used our sponsor's image Spider Wort Sprite from Aurora Wings, perfect for a child's card, well a girl's anyway!
I matched her up with some Prima Pixie Glen Papers and then added a few Marianne Dies, as below:

Basket: LR0404
Circle: CR1331
Lamb: LR0358
Oh and the flowers in the basket are also from Marianne Designs.

As mentioned, our fabulous sponsors this week are Aurora Wings and they are offering the lucky winner a yummy $15 voucher to spend in their Etsy store.

Please do check out the beautiful makes of my teamies at PFP here.

Looks like the sun is shining again today, so I'm off to do a food shop and then it's back in the garden this afternoon!

Mo Merge Madness!

I've gone a bit nuts on merging images at the minute - I just love how you can do this and create a great scene out of two images - a real advantage of digital images.  For my card today, I merged two Mo Manning images from Mo's Digital Pencil - Sheep and Little Bo - an obvious merge but fun none the less!
Now, in some ways you may think that the perspective is out with my giant sheep but I rather like the irony of it that she still can't find her flock even if they are bigger than her!!  I've coloured my image with a mix of Promarkers, Trias and Shinhan Touch markers and added some flowers, Butterfly dies from Joanna Sheen and Joy craft.  The papers are from the Prima Madeline pad, the large picket fence is a Tim Holtz die and the small one a Memory Box die.  Finally, my sentiment is word-processed and cut with a Stampin Up punch. Oh and my sheep are from a new Joanna Sheen Christmas die - Shepherds.  (The little  sheep right by Little Bo's feet is a wooden one bought at a craft fair.

I think that might be done merging for a little while but  who knows!!

Daisy , Daisy give me your answer do!

This is my first 'just because' card in a while and it's the gorgeous Daisy from Mo's Digital Pencil.

I teamed her with some Prima papers, Annalee, and used my Pansy Punch Around the Page set from Martha Stewart,  a Marianne branch die and some Shabby Pink Frantage.

Haven't felt alot like card-making recently, feeling a bit sad about our house move not progressing, but must admit to looking forward to being out of work in 8 weeks time!!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend

New Challenge at Sketch N Stash

I am a huge fan of A Day for Daisies images so was thrilled when the DT were able to pick an image to use for our new challenge starting today.  I've picked the fabulous Vintage Fairy Magic - just click on the link to take you to her on the ADFD site.
Now as you can see, I had to rotate the sketch 90 degrees so that the image fitted perfectly with the sketch.  You can probably also see that I went a bit nuts with the Frantage (Aged Silver) and forget to brush it back before I applied heat.  Still I do quite like the aged effect it gives. (I've cheated here and photoshopped it off her face for her close up, just so you can see how pretty she is!) You might also be able to see that where I heated the frantage the ribbon melted slightly but I also like that effect too!
My papers are from one of my new Lili of the Valley pads  and a Prima Fairy Belle pad.  I've used a Memory Border die, Meridan, to edge my papers and then another Memory Box leaf die  to frame the flowers.

As mentioned we're being sponsored by the wonderful A Day for Daisies for this challenge and the winner will get an amazing £10 to spend on ADFD images - yum!

And before you leave me, don't forget to check out the makes of my lovely SNS teamies here!

Cup of Tea anyone?

This card is my third as guest DT for Funky Hands and what a great image this is!  So love this mug of tea image with its great little sentiment - you can find the digi image here at Funky Hands.   I took my colours from the Prima Introspection papers I chose to use.

I matted the image onto a Tim Holtz Distresssed Doiley On the Edge punch - cut twice so I got a whole doiley!
I cut the flowers with a series of EK Success flower punches, added some brads and some matching ribbon and there you have it.

I've got the day off today but am going to be mad busy - house viewings to arrange, hair cut. pedicure, trip to the dentist, and finish off a DT card for next week!  The only ugh thing there is the dentist!!
Catch up with you all soon!xxx

New Challenge at Passion for Promarkers - Yummy food

Today's card is for our new challenge starting today over at a Passion for Promarkers with a great theme of Yummy Food as chosen by our lovely  Loopy Lou.  I think I may have stretched the concept with my choice of coffee but I do love a Latte and often have one as an alternative to the chocolate cravings!!
This is also my second GDT card for Funky Hands, and as soon as I saw the digi of the coffee cup, I'm a Mug for You - Coffee Love, I knew I had to team it up with this gorgeous Saturated Canary image. The papers are from the Prima Introspection pad and the corregated strip is actually one of those bands to stop you burning your pinkies!
The little heart is a wooden one from Live and Love crafts and the frame is cut with a Fiskars corner/border combo.
Our sponsors for this challenge are Whiff of Joy with the lucky winner getting a stamp of their choice!

Don't forget to check out the rest of my fabby teammates's  cards here!
