Passion for Markers Colours of Spring

Well it's snowing up here in The Lakes today so not very spring-like but hopefully the Passion for Markers challenge this week can give you a feel of spring!  Yes, our fabulous Sue has chosen a theme of the Colours of Spring.  I've used these pretty papers called Springtime to take my colours from with a pop of pink for this cute image from Stamping Bella called Girl with a Snow Drop - here at Dies to Die.

I've also used this cute frame set from Marianne Designs - you get the frame, stitched circle die, two dragonflies and the little petals for the flower but you could also use them as leaves - I think it's a really versatile little set. All the deets of Marianne Products below.

Marianne Products Used
Circle Frame, Flower and Dragonfly set - LR0795
Parasol Die - COL1520
Sentiment - Hello Spring and Easter - CS1044
Arrow Banner - Banner Set - CS1058
Papers - Springtime PS8084

Our sponsors are the fab online store that is Dies to Die For - I actually bought this Stamping Bella image  here from them a few years ago at a show.  They are offering the very lucky winner and amazing £15 voucher to spend in their store - wow!

Don't forget to check out the beautiful makes of my PFM teamies here.  And don't forget you must use markers of some type on your card and tell us which ones you have used to be eligible for the prize draw.

Happy Tuesday folks!

Passion for Markers Things with Wings

Our new challenge starts today over at a Passion for Promarkers with a great theme of Things with Wings as chosen by our lovely Marlene.  I've gone with a fairly simple design with this Stamping Bella image which I've fussy cut and laid over a print I made with this Hero Arts background stamp a while ago.  The sentiment is Stampin' Up and then I added a few dots of highlighter pen in her hair and some gold pearl drops for extra dimension.

Our sponsor this week is the fabulous Di's Digi Stamps who are offering our lucky winner a $6 voucher for their store.

You can check out the winged beauties of my PFM teamies here then I do hope you'll come and join in the challenge.

Use 3 or more papers at Passion for Markers

I'm a little late posting today - I've had a  problem with broken eggs this morning!!   Anyway, my card today  is for our new challenge at Passion for Markers with a fabulous challenge to use three or more papers  - my kind of challenge!  I've used four papers from the Prima Introspection  pad.  My image is a Stamping Bella image - Brianna Butterfly.  I coloured her and then matched her up with the papers - a big no-no but it worked for me on this occasion!!

A few Marianne goodies used as per below - it's always good to mix and match your die sets - the oval die  from the lacy border set I wanted to use was a bit too small for the image so I found the pierced oval in another set which was just perfect!

Marianne Products Used

Pierced Edge Oval die - LR0376
Lacy Border Oval Die set - CR1446
Lace Border Die Set - LR0637

You can check out the makes of my teamies here and then do come and play along - we have a stunning prize from Dies To Die for!!

Tracy is offering one lucky winner a £15.00 voucher to spend in her online store.

Add A Sentiment PFP Challenge

Morning folks - another sunny day here in the Lakes - long may it last.
As it's a Tuesday, it's time for our new challenge at Passion for Promarkers and it's my turn to host the challenge.  I've chosen, hopefully, a nice easy theme of Add A Sentiment as most of us tend to add some sort of sentiment to our makes, right?  Just remember to use your Promarkers, Flexmarkers, Trias or Aquamarkers - lots of choice!!
I needed to make a Get Well Card for a dear friend suffering from that Virus, so this is it - thankfully, she is on the road to recovery at the minute.

The image is from Stamping Bella and the papers are Basic Grey.

The die cut snowdrops are from Marianne as are the looped border and the sentiments, details below

Snow Drop Die set - CR1490
Looped Border Die - CR1250
Sentiment stamps  from Mini Labels and Dies set -CS1029 -  so versatile!!

We're being sponsored by the fabulous Bugaboo Stamps who make some great images with fab and funny matching sentiments. They're offering the lucky winner a $12 voucher to spend in their digi store!!

My teamies have made some wonderful cards for the challenge this week, go check them out here at PFP HQ and leave them so love - I intend to when I have made my foray into town for our weekly shop!

Have a great week everyone and I look forward to seeing your makes!

Happy Easter from the PFP Challenge Blog

Hi folks

It's new challenge day over at PFP HQ with a fab theme, Easter, of course, chosen by our lovely Sue.  It's going to be a very different kind of Easter this year but we can all have a virtual Easter with lots of lovely cards and chocolate?
For my card, I've used this gorgeous stamp from Stamping Bella- fell in love with it at the Farnborough show back in February - seems like another life now.
The papers are from Fancy Pants, I think, and I've just let the image and the papers do the talking - no dies on this card today.
I also made a list of my Promarker choices for the main yellow and blue colours as below:

Yellows - Sleigh Bells, Gold, Mustard, Daffodil Bloom
Blues - Aegean, Cyan, Duck Egg, Cool Aqua,

Don't forget to check out the rest of Team One's  super makes here, and then come and play along.

Our generous sponsor this week is Cowling & Wilcox and they are offering one lucky winner a 3 pack of Neon Markers and I have added a Winsor & Newton superior bleedproof marker paper pad to the prize.

Today's card is a rather clean and simple  for me using this fab Stamping Bella image which I got at Farnborough show earlier this year.    I love her expression and her hair!!

That's it for now but I do hope you have a fabulous day and a fabulous weekend!!

Isn't this little piggy the cutest - nothing like a muddy puddle right!  He's Pig in Wellies from Lee Holland Designs and he's for our new Lots of Layers Challenge at Passion for Promarkers starting today! My kind of challenge - thanks to our lovely Lisa for choosing it!  Lots of layers means lots of die cuts for me and there is a list of all the Marianne Dies I used below:

Wonky Squares Die - CR1375
Inverted Circle Die - CR1239

Stampin Bella Nurse

For anyone feeling a bit poorly out there this Stamping Bella nurse is sure to cheer you up!  Best matey bought it at Make-It Farnborough last month and I may had stamped it off!!

The sentiment and plaster dies from Marianne suited it perfectly!  And this is one of those rare occasions of colouring up the image first and then finding the perfect paper to match!!  Also a little hand doodling to match the plaster stitching.

Marianne Goodies used.
Get Well Soon Sentiment Die - CR1318
Plaster Dies - LR0362

My baby girl is home from Uni for the week today - woop woop!!

Stamping Bella for a change.

I love Stamping Bella images and have a few in my hoard but don't use them nearly enough!  So I was pleased to show this one the light of day and team her up with this lovely sentiment from Lili of the Valley.  I also raided my flower stores which I haven't done for a while.
Oh and I managed to sneak in a Marianne die for the sentiment frame - CR1331 - Basic Round Circle set.
We had the most beautiful day here, despite the cold and this evening the sunset was glorious!  Still no signs of baby putting in an appearance, only a week to go too!

Card for my daughter's birthday - just before she goes off travelling!!

Hi everyone - still not got any time to make cards (or find stuff even if I did have time!)  Our move went really well and we feel very happy and content in our new home here in The Lake District.  It was our Emily's 20th birthday last Saturday, just before she set off on her latest travelling expedition and this is the card I quickly made before my desk was packed!  The image is by Stamping Bella- love it because it's very Hepburn-esque, and rather suitable for a traveller!!  My loveliest friend, Lesley (from Grenouille Greetings) gave me the die-set (amongst loads of other crafting delights) for Christmas and it was so easy to use.  The papers are by Marianne Designs from their latest 2015 release - Pretty Paper Blocs - Old Press(PK9120) and Baroque(PK9119).  The flourish is also by Marianne Designs - Tiny's Flower 2 (LR0249) and currently in stock here at Maddylisa Crafts.
The rolled flowers are by Kort and Godt and the pearls etc from my stash!
Emily got off from her travels ok and we even managed to skype her during her stopover at Singapore airport- technology eh!
Just looked out the window and it's snowing here and already settling -eek!!  Stay warm everyone!

Uptown Girl coming up roses

I bought this little lady from Stampin Bella - Charlie has a Pressie - from Quixotic Paperie last week.  Love the Uptown Girl images but they're not cheap so I took advantage of the 20% discount that Elaine was offering last week and bought a couple!  And they arrive the next day - great service!
I've coloured her with my Promarkers and some Shin Han Touch Brush Markers which I love!  Like Copics but much cheaper (from Jacksons's Art Supplies here in the UK). The  papers are My Mind's Eye, the border die was cut with a Martha Stewart punch and the rest of my embellies were from stash. Oh, and the sentiment is from Stampin Up.
The card is for one of my wonderful M&S girlfriends (we all met when we started out at M&S head office over 30 years ago).  Love them all dearly - we've all been through at lot together over the years, and we still meet up for every couple of months to put the world to rights (haven't quite succeeded yet but we'll get there!)xxxxx

I'm entering my card into the following challenges

4 Crafty Chicks - Use flowers
Red Rubber Inspirationals - Celebrate Friendship
Bunny Zoe's Crafts - Distress
The Crafty Bloggers Network - Ribbon and Pink
