A Passion for Promarkers and another A Day for Daisies image

Yep, another A Day for Daisies image from me, this time for our new challenge at A Passion For Promarkers where we have a gorgeous theme of Pearls and Pins - right up my street!
My beautiful image is  Spring Flower Hair ( a new favourite!) that I've coloured with my Promarkers and Trias.
I've then used a Petal point card blank and used the card as a template to cut out the paper from a DCWV Luxury 12x12 pad.  I then got the Frantage out again, this time in Aged Wine, added some pearls, flowers and pins and that was it - I printed out the image quite large scale, so didn't have an awful lot more room for anything else!
As mentioned, ADFD are our wonderful sponsors so do come and along and join in this week's challenge!

New Challenge at Sketch N Stash

I am a huge fan of A Day for Daisies images so was thrilled when the DT were able to pick an image to use for our new challenge starting today.  I've picked the fabulous Vintage Fairy Magic - just click on the link to take you to her on the ADFD site.
Now as you can see, I had to rotate the sketch 90 degrees so that the image fitted perfectly with the sketch.  You can probably also see that I went a bit nuts with the Frantage (Aged Silver) and forget to brush it back before I applied heat.  Still I do quite like the aged effect it gives. (I've cheated here and photoshopped it off her face for her close up, just so you can see how pretty she is!) You might also be able to see that where I heated the frantage the ribbon melted slightly but I also like that effect too!
My papers are from one of my new Lili of the Valley pads  and a Prima Fairy Belle pad.  I've used a Memory Border die, Meridan, to edge my papers and then another Memory Box leaf die  to frame the flowers.

As mentioned we're being sponsored by the wonderful A Day for Daisies for this challenge and the winner will get an amazing £10 to spend on ADFD images - yum!

And before you leave me, don't forget to check out the makes of my lovely SNS teamies here!

Cup of Tea anyone?

This card is my third as guest DT for Funky Hands and what a great image this is!  So love this mug of tea image with its great little sentiment - you can find the digi image here at Funky Hands.   I took my colours from the Prima Introspection papers I chose to use.

I matted the image onto a Tim Holtz Distresssed Doiley On the Edge punch - cut twice so I got a whole doiley!
I cut the flowers with a series of EK Success flower punches, added some brads and some matching ribbon and there you have it.

I've got the day off today but am going to be mad busy - house viewings to arrange, hair cut. pedicure, trip to the dentist, and finish off a DT card for next week!  The only ugh thing there is the dentist!!
Catch up with you all soon!xxx

Passion for Promarkers Anniversary Challenge

Hello and welcome to our 5 Year Anniversary here at PFP Challenges, and in honour of the 5 years that PFP has been setting you weekly challenges, Teams 1 and 2 are coming together, for one big celebration.  The theme is to use your dies and we have lots of lovely prizes for you from our lovely sponsors - see my list at the end of my very long post!!    To be eligible for our prize draw you must use your Letraset products (i.e. pro, flex, tria, aqua, metallic or neon markers) and of course follow the theme.
As you can see, I've used a fabulous Mo Manning Digi image called Naunet-she is so adorable!  I took my colour scheme from a new pad of Graphic 45 papers On the Boardwark.
I've coloured  her with my Promarkers and Trias and then entered embellie heaven to finish off!  The little shells were a gift from best matey Lesley, who picked up a whole lod from the beach while she was in Florida.  I made the flower ages ago using a flower punch which I then scrunched up and added some glitter for that extra sparkle.

My die cuts include this little Memory Box Whale which I bought in the sales and wasn't sure when I would use it but here it is!  The bubbles, large and small, are also cut with Memory Box dies.  Finally, I mde the three little starfish using a star mould and some Cloud Clay which I'd heard good things about and it is indeed as light as a feather and very easy to use.  I curled the points of the star while the clay was still drying to get that starfish feel going and then stained them with Antique Linen Distress stain and some gold liquid pearl from Tulip.
What I really love from the Graphic 45 papers is the Mermaids Wanted sign - just perfect!!  I've also used a Tim Holtz flourish edge die but have then proceeded to cover it up!

As it's a special challenge we have a really easy theme for you of "use your die-cuts", although please note we are only accepting a maximum of 3 entries per person for this one challenge only.  To be eligible for our prize draw you must use your Letraset products (i.e. pro, flex, tria, aqua, metallic or neon markers) and of course follow the theme.  As always we have some fantastic prizes up for grabs and our sponsors have been very generous as usual .  Here we go.....

Lavinia Stamps - card for my one of my lovelies!

My darling daughter number one, Holly, was 26 last week and this is the Lavinia Stamps card that I made for her birthday.  I had to watch a couple  of Tracey's tutorials on brayering as I kept getting it wrong but love how it turned out in the end.
We had a girls night out on Friday to celebrate and went to this fabulous jazz club called Hideaway in Streatham. Holly's cousin, Bel, and my 80 year old MIL also came and it was brilliant.  They had Sharon D Clarke (of Holby City (UK) and We Will Rock You (the queen show) and she was amazing!!  We also saw a guy called Liam Tamne who was just awesome (was on The Voice here in the UK) - he had the most amazing falsetto!  What a great night, so close  to home - picture below of the birthday girl(on the right) and my other daughter, Emily.

Photo: DIva night. Shoopdeewoop.

The next picture is of the card with the tag on that I wrapped around the middle, appropriate sentiment for my musical lovely!
I've not been about much recently, what with birthdays, house valuations and now my son has just gone up to the Lake District for a few months to live as he has got a job in a hotel up there, change of direction for a while!  One day he heard about the job, and the next he was on the train!  Hoping he'll find life more fulfilling and peaceful in that beautiful landscapexx
That's all for today - hope you've enjoyed the glorious weekend here in the UK!

Hop Day with Mo's Dream Team - Ribbons!

Helloooo!  I love the third Thursday in the month when we have a gathering of the clan at Mo's Dream Team! This month's theme is Ribbons so that's what you should be seeing as you hop on through the DT creations! Hopefully you should have arrived here from the awesome Gretha's blog and this is also the start of the hop this month!
For my card, I've used the wonderful Housework Fairy (wouldn't we all love one of those, especially one who goes about her work so merrily!)  I've popped her up on some folded acetate to give her a bit of spring.
I've created the housework scene using various Memory Box/Poppy Stamp Dies (window, curtains and staircase), and some Marianne Dies (Frame and Lampstand). The papers are by Tilda and the gorgeous roses are part of the paper, so I just popped the frame round them to showcase their loveliness!
For my ribbon element I've taken some white organza ribbon and pleated it around my card base to make a frame.  The little window bows are from stash. The Paper Trey Ink sentiment is cut with a Spellbinders label die and popped onto the Martha Stewart punched border.
Your next stop on the hop is over to the fabby Debby Y who will have a delightful creation to share with you!

Here's the  full blog hop order in case you get lost  along the way.  AND, very importantly, don't forget to leave a comment on each of the DT's posts as there will be a  $5 voucher hidden somewhere along the line for two of the lucky commentators!

Alisa With Roses

I have yet another favourite Mo image to share with you tonight - this is the beautiful Alisa with Roses, love her I do! I coloured her to match these gorgeous My Mind's Eye papers that I picked up for £3 a pad at T.K.Maxx! Except I can't remember what they're called!
The butterfly flourish is a a Joanna Sheen die and the large Pinwheel flowers are Memory Box and the teeny ones Impression Obsession.
That's all  from me for now - short and sweet!
Hump day tomorrow, and my eldest daughter's birthday, so a nice day ahead!!

Sketch N Stash Monday

Another Monday and it's time for our new challenge to start over at Sketch N Stash using the fab sketch below.
I've not used a coloured image this time but have gone for a vintage look using this repo image from old postcards.  I've teamed it up with some Marianne papers and then used some goodies from Live and Love Crafts, including the Kort and Godt pinwheel posies, the lace with the pearls and the little cork heart.
The wooden Love embellie was from a recent craft fair visit with the rest of my goodies coming from my stash.
We are being sponsored by the fabulous Ooh La La Creations this challenge with the winner getting to choose a CD of their choice -wow!

Prize - Cd of winners choice
Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate every visit!!xx
And go and show some love to my fellow teamies at Sketch  N Stash, they've made some gorgeous cards to inspire you.
