Passion for Markers Clean and Simple

I'm running a little behind this week - this is my card for our latest challenge at Passion for Markers with a great theme of Clean And Simple, chosen by our lovely Lisa.   As our sponsors are Bugaboo this week, I 've used one of their images, Floral set 1, for my card, keeping it about as clean and simple as I can manage!

The winner of this week's challenge will win a fabulous $12 voucher to spend with Bugaboo so do come and play along with us! And if you'd like a bit more inspiration don't forget to check out the makes of the rest of the DT here.

Hugs, Juliex

Wonky Tonk Sophia

So enjoyed colouring this beautifully whimsical beauty - Sophia from Tracy Easson's Wonky Tonk Girls(available from Which Craft here). When I first coloured her face I thought I'd overdone it but once I'd coloured her hair it toned her skin down.  I used a fabulous Copic combo that I saw Chris Dark use at a Craft Barn day that they used to put on in Lingfield, Surrey - sadly the Craft Barn is another craft shop that is no more.  Anyway, the colour combination Chris used was Light Crockery Blue and Dark Bark which I think is great for creating that glossy black hair look.

The papers I've used are Chambray and Lace from Craftwork Cards and then I've used a Mandala die from Marianne Designs to frame her head and mirror the one on the paper.

Marianne Products Used

Mandala Die - LR0614
Feather Dies - CR1412

Have a great weekxx

Male cards for Making Cards Magazine

I was delighted recently to be asked to make some male themed cards for Making Cards magazine here in the UK, using Mo Manning's fabulous digi stamps. This guy is called To Plant a Garden, such a great image!  I've added some clouds in the background and a few Marianne die cuts in the foreground.

Wheelbarrow Die/Garden Fork - COL1427
Tag Die Set - CS1058

I'm working in Holly's shop today, probably selling lots of fresh, local produce that she sells along with her refills !

Enjoy your day!

Mo Babies

I've used a trio of Mo's Digital Pencil new baby images for today's card.  The drummer and cheerleader are really making a noise to celebrate baby's birthday.  The full names are Band Baby, Cheer Baby and Birthday Baby - just click on the links to find them in Mo's store.

The DL frame and smaller dies are from this Marianne set - CR1537.  And the sentiment is a favourite from Woodware.

Have a great weekend!

Summer Colours - Passion for Markers

It's my turn to host our weekly challenge at Passion for Markers and I've chosen the theme of Summer Colours - pretty easy right?
I've used this gorgeous camping image, Little Camp, from our sponsors All Dressed Up - love her tent!  I knew that I had to use this tent stencil from Marianne Designs with the image and then I rooted through all my Marianne stash to add the perfect camping embellies!  The fire flames are from a Wood stove die set that they brought out that the beginning of the year. Full list below.

Marianne Products Used

Tent Stencil (and cushions!) - PS8081
Tree (and twigs for fire) - LR0678
Fire Flames (from Stove Die) - CR1525

Tree Lanterns - CR1374

The papers are Miss Caroline from My Mind's Eye and the stamp flower is PTI.

Now, as I said, All Dressed Up are sponsoring us for this challenge and they are offering the lucky winner 2 digi images!  Just remember to use your markers, any kind, but do tell us which ones as long as they have marker in their name.

Check out the wonderful makes of my teamies here, then come and join in the challenge!

I've used one of the new images at Mo's Digital Pencil for today's card - this is Lily Fairy - cuteness overload!

I've used some Crafter's Companion papers and a Marianne Designs Lily of the Valley die.  The Wonky Stitches rectangle is MFT as I think is the sentiment!

Passion for Markers Make it Cute

So, just about the hottest day of the year, and I have a Christmas card to share with you.  But I couldn't resist, using this sweet Star Jam Lines digi image, Little Deer,  for our challenge this week at Passion for Markers, as they are sponsoring us!  The theme is Make it Cute so couldn't be easier.

I've made my winter scene using some favourite Marianne Designs products, listed below.

One of my teamies at PFM also asked me the colours I used for the deer and it's a Copic blend - E77, E74, E71 and E70.  So don't forget you can now use any type of marker to colour your images, just let us know what you've used.
