Passion for Markers Things with Wings

Our new challenge starts today over at a Passion for Promarkers with a great theme of Things with Wings as chosen by our lovely Marlene.  I've gone with a fairly simple design with this Stamping Bella image which I've fussy cut and laid over a print I made with this Hero Arts background stamp a while ago.  The sentiment is Stampin' Up and then I added a few dots of highlighter pen in her hair and some gold pearl drops for extra dimension.

Our sponsor this week is the fabulous Di's Digi Stamps who are offering our lucky winner a $6 voucher for their store.

You can check out the winged beauties of my PFM teamies here then I do hope you'll come and join in the challenge.

Digi challenge at PFP

There's a new challenge starting today over at  a Passion for Promarkers with a theme of using something digital - either your image or your papers!  Easy one for me as I love my digi images and the versatility they give you.  I've printed my image - Fortune Teller from Mo's Digital Pencil -  quite large scale, as I wanted it to take centre stage - she certainly does that!
The papers are from Recollection and were part of the mountain of paper that we brought back from California last year - I couldn't leave it behind - 12x12 pads for 4 dollars, about £2.50!
The flowers are cut with an EK Success punch and the sentiment is from Hero Arts.

This week's fab theme has been chosen by our lovely Marie, and you can check our her gorgeous card, along with the rest of the DT cards here - hope they'll give you some inspiration!
And we're being sponsored by the fabulous Digi Stamp Boutique who are offering the lucky winner a £10 voucher to spend in their store!

Basic Grey - Masculine

As it says on my card, Hello There!  This is a card for the  new challenge over at Basic Grey Challenges HQ.  You can probably tell, our theme for this challenge is Masculine ( a groan is echoing through blogland!).  Still they are a necessity and I'm glad to have another one in stock!  The main image is a Hero Arts Cling stamp which I've teamed up with What's Up papers from Basic Grey.  I've then cut out a few more air balloons with a little Memory Box die.  The clouds are also cut with a Memory Box die, and I stamped them with a script stamp just for a bit of detail.  The Birthday Sentiment and banner are from PTI.

As usual, we have our regular sponsor, Simon Says Stamp, offering our regular awesome prize of a $25 voucher to spend in their online store to one lucky winner.
Please just remember to use a Basic Grey item in your project and let us  know what that item is!
I'm also entering my card into the latest Simon Says Stamp Challenge which is for Travel

Enjoy your weekend - there's a rumour going round that we might see some sun here in the UK!

Whiff of Joy Stars and Stripes- Happy 4th of July!

Of course, we had to go with the Stars and Stripes theme at Whiff of Joy Challenges - Happy 4th of July to all my bloggy American friends!
As you can see, I've gone with a red and white theme using the cute little Henry with Cake!
I recently purchased a couple of Hero Art stamp and emboss sets in the sale and this is one of them.  You just pick up the embossing detail in the above picture, and I'm rather pleased with my purchase! The Hugs and Kisses borders were cut with a Whiff of Joy die, the Ribbon was a purchase ages ago from Ikea and the sentiment is best matey's, Lesley's which I borrowed during our fab play day at the weekend.
A couple of Woodware punch stars, a bit of Baker's Twine and some Card Candy and I was done!
This fortnight we are being sponsored by the fab Katherina at Whiff of Joy (got my order last night, thanks Katherina!) and you could win a  luverly voucher that entitles you to 15% of your next order with WOJ!

You can check out the awesome makes of my WOJ teamies here and we have our new DT members joining us from this challenge, so take a peek here for a treat!

I had a really odd dizzy spell yesterday morning - woke up and felt like I'd drunk about three bottles of wine and everything was spinning!  It eventually stopped and managed to get into work, but still feeling a little light-headed and queasy today.  wouldn't mind if I had one or two over the top!
Thanks for popping in!

Something that I started making at Alex's

Started making this calendar during our craft day at Alex's last weekend (where has the week gone!) Used Cosmo Cricket paper for the background, and used stamps that I purchased at the Glitter Pot that very morning! The month and calander stamps are Hero Arts while there's no mistaking the lovely Tilda (thanks Alex!) Used Antique Paper Distress inks on the edges - and guess what - flowers again!
