Lavinia Zen Tree and new addition to the family tree!!

This is the birthday card for our lovely Holly back in May, and following a tutorial from Tracey at Lavinia Stamps  using the Zen tree and liquid pearls.  I made the background papers with Distress Oxides.

Very simple in many ways but loved the process.

My Holly and her Harry are also adding to the family tree (geddit!) with a baby brother or sister for Violet due at the end of December - almost half way!!

Happy News

More Christmas cards with Lavinia stamps

I made this set a few weeks ago, again with the gel plate that I cut from a large square which I thought was wasted but I like the uneven edges this produces!

Hoping to get inky fingers again today and make some more cards looking at the Lavinia tutorials on You Tube from the Lavinia DT - so inspirational!

The ink hasn't blended quite so well on the next one but it does look like a blood moon which we are lucky to get occasionally  where we are.

Hoping to get inky fingers again today and make some more cards looking at the Lavinia tutorials on You Tube from the Lavinia DT - so inspirational!

Thanks for popping in!

Here are a couple of wintery Christmas cards - quick and easy with Distress Oxides and Twilight Versa Clair.  Watched a Lavinia Video using the trees just behind the hills like this!

A little bit of Mixed Media

Something a bit different from me today - using an inky background made with Distress Oxides, and then stamped using a Prima stamp, and some Marianne Mixed Media Stamps -the splodges (Tiny Mixed Media stamps - Watercolour, MM1615,  and the butterflies, (Tiny's Butterflies 2 - MM1614).

I've then punched out lots of tiny flowers and butterflies from the same background papers and finished off with a little Stickles at the centre of each flower.

Blood Moon Lavinia

A break from Christmas cards today - this is a Lavinia stamp card I made back in the summer  and was inspired by some of the stunning Blood Moon nights we saw at the time.  I made the background initially with distress oxides then used an Inkylicious Moon stamp and a cloud mask before stamping the gorgeous Lavinia silhouette images.
It's a Violet day today today, so off to  collect her shortly - love Violet days!

New Home with Lavinia Stamps

Love the Lavinia houses for New Home cards - decided to go bold and bright colouring just the main house in jewel colours purple and gold.

The background is distress oxide - thankfully, I have a batch of these prepared just waiting for the right project!

Busy, busy at the minute with card-making, when I should be in the garden really, but hey-ho!

Lavinia Fairies for my magical girl!

It was our Holly's birthday earlier this week and she's such a nature girl, I thought she would love a Lavinia scene - this could be her and Violet!!

I made the background with Distress Oxides and then coloured in with my Arteza waterbrush pens.  I've then added some Distress Oxides for the ground and edging.

I meant to stamp the blessings words stamp before I added the fairies and flowers etc but forgot but  instead I stamped it on after with Memory Box London Fog so it still has that faded into the background!

I'm also entering my card into this month's Lavinia challenge where the theme is Make It Bright.

Twinkly Christmas

When I was visiting crafty friend and besty, Lesley, back in August, she bought this gorgeous frame die and let me cut a few  from it!  All it really needed was a background which I made with distress oxides and then added some Shabby White Frantage and a sentiment/tag (Marianne Happy Holidays sentiments CS1009) and I was done. Oh and I edged the frame with my Red Gold metallic Promarker for a bit of bling!  Nice and quickish set of Christmas cards made.  Just wish I could remember who the die is by!!
