Birthday Card

It was my Sister-in-law's 60th birthday yesterday ( you would never believe it if you saw her!) and this is the card I made for her using this fantastic Bohemian image by Emily Louella at Crafts and Me - click here to take you to the image at Crafts and Me.
She's so great to colour as the detail in the drawing is fabulous with all the shade and light done for you.
You may have noticed that my main picture doesn't have  a sentiment on - I decided it needed one at the last minute and this one is just perfect for my artist SIL.  I can't remember who it's by - from a birthday set I bought years ago but no labels remain!!
My Marianne goodies have been out in force too as below:

Bow border die - LR0464
Butterfly pearls- CA3116
Frame Die - LR0405
Circle Slot Edge Die - LR0483

Everything else from stash.

You'll be pleased to know I've finished that darned tax return, so now working on hard on building up my stock for a Christmas Fair I'm doing!

Hugs, Julie

Mother's Day Card using Twenties Bohemian Lady from Crafts and Me

I knew that as soon as I saw this image on one of my crafty friend's blog, that I would have to use if for a card for my MIL- so up her street.  It's by Emily Luella for Crafts and Me and comes here  as a super detailed grey scale image, so colouring is so easy!!  Thank you Teresa for sending me the image before it was on general release, I love it and really appreciated the gesture.

It really didn't need an awful lot of adornment, so I just used a quite simple design, and some chiffon roses and lace to frame it.  And my MIL loved it back in March for Mother's Day here in the UK.

Passion for Promarkers Fantasy - Fairies and Mermaids

Sorry I'm so late posting my DT card for PFP today!  We had a lovely day down at Priory Farm to see where the Craft Barn had relocated to!  Such a great location - sadly for me they were still fitting out the new premises, and although we could look round, a lot of their stock was still in boxes - probably just as well with the hubster in tow but I did manage to buy one or two items!!
Back to my card and our theme at PFP as chosen by our lovely Cathy is Fantasy - so anything such as fairies,  mermaids, dragons etc!
I used these two  gorgeous Crafts and Me images of the Moon Swing and Noon Fairy and merged them together. The images were chosen by my sister for a card she asked me to make for her daughter Hannah's 21st.  The  other requirements were to use red, and also to incorporate the sentiment which has a special meaning for my sister and Hannah.  Hannah also studied vetinary nursing at college so all the little woodland creatures seemed appropriate - they have a house full of animals too!!

When I sent the card up to my sister, she was really worried when she called to say that she'd received it but thought the postie may have torn it putting it through the mail box!  I was sort of relieved to explain that it was a design feature with a little heart tucked behind as you can see below! Other elements that I used included Memory Box heart dies, and some PTI flourish dies and stamps. There are also some Marianne Anja Rose corner and border dies.  Most of the other bits and pieces are from stash.

The papers are 7 Gypsies Lyon 12 x 12 papers.

Our sponsors this week at PFP are Letraset who are offering the lucky winner a set of the new Promarkers  Collection set.

Mo's Snow Day

The Christmas cards just keep on coming - this is Mo Manning's Snow Day.  I love this image, it reminds me of the little Snow Baby figures that I get out with my Christmas decorations each year.
As you can see, I made an easel card. and added a few Memory Box Twiggy Trees and Snow Flurry Corners.  The snowflakes are a Marianne Creatable die.

I've coloured with my flex and promarkers, as always, and added some stickle glue for his fur trim.
The pom pom edging, was I think from the Ribbon Girl and the Sentiment is Lili of the Valley.

The little snowballs are from stash and I'm giving some away with my Candy so do sign up!!

Colour Create - Rose Pink, Kraft and White

I've just about dried out now after a very wet and windy day here yesterday, I think I saw an ark floating down the Thames!!
Anyhoo, it's time for our new challenge at Colour Create and this fortnight we have a beautiful colour combo as chosen by our fab Kerry, which is ROSE PINK, KRAFT AND WHITE with the optional extra of masking. And here's your photo inspiration:

26 April - Challenge 95 - Kerry - Rose Pink, Kraft and White

I think my pink is a bit more shocking than rose but then roses come in all different shades of pink!!  My image is a gorgeous Crafts and Me rubber stamp called Crimson Rose which I then masked off and stamped the background script using a Stampin Up large stamp.

Because this made the image quite busy, I decided not to use any design papers and just matted it up onto a square edged with this Fiskars corner and border punch combined.  So wish they did more of these, or that they were available more readily in the UK as it is just about the simplest corner/border combo to use. The ribbon was from stash and I also found the jewel centrepiece in my stash when sorting stuff the other day! The Kraft card blank was a purchase from Ally Pally.

My lovely teamies at Colour Create have made some wonderful cards to share with you so do pop on over to the challenge blog here.
Not sure about this new blogger style at the minute but no doubt will get used to it!!
Don't forget your pacamac if your out and about today!!
