Mo's Skating Gnomes

More  Mo gnomes to share - this time the Skating Gnomes Dag and Dyri that come as a duo.  I've placed them with some of the tree images that you get free when you spend $25 dollars in the store!

I've simply positioned them in a word document and they've overlaid where necessary - so easy to create this little scene!

The frames I've used are from Stamping Up, the papers are from a My Mind's Eye Christmas 12x12 pad and the little old-fashioned skates are a Joy craft die.  The trees, sentiment and tag are from Marianne Designs. details as follows.

Large  Spar Tree Die - LR0378
Small Trees Dies - LR0136 and LR0556
Banner Tag Die - CS1058
Sentiment - Happy Holidays Set  - CS1009

Love these gnome stamps - so great to colour!

Have you seen the new gnomes over on Mo's Digital Pencil? There is a whole range of them and you get two per set with a fair few of them!  This is Gnome Egli from the Tini and Egli set and I love how he is doing a little jig at the thought of going home for Christmas!!  There's also some free sentiments, such as the one I've used, with any purchase, and a  free tree set with purchases over $25!  Running until 13th September

I've used papers from my Christmas scrap box - I think they're Stampin Up and this fabulous new tree die from Marianne Designs.  I've not used it to it's best effect here as you can create layered dimensional cards with it- I will definitely be using it like that more!!

Marianne Products Used

Tree - LR0678 - NEW!

New Release Angel Pad from Katy Sue Designs on Create and Craft Tomorrow.

Morning folks, just popping in to share my samples for the Katy Sue Release which is being aired on Create and Craft tomorrow.  It' s a new Christmas Angels pad that can be made into fabulous Christmas cards and can also be used with the wide range of MDF products that Katy Sue offer.
I love the blue palette of the pad, but there is also some purples and yellows too!  And aren't these deer images so cute!!

Just to show there's some colour variation, I brought out the pink of her waist ribbon, by using some Katy Sue snowflake peel offs as masks then inked the paper with pink ink!  I further brought out the pink shading the flowers and dies with pink too.

For this MDF star. I cut one of the angel images out, using the centre star as a template.  I've then added Frantage Shabby Blue enamel to the base star and round the edge of the image.  Perfect as a gift for a Christmas baby!
I'll have some more samples to share with you tomorrow - don't forget to tune into the shows on Create and Craft at 10:30am and 3pm tomorrow with Dawn Bibby.

Walking in Winter from Mo's Digital Pencil

Isn't this new winter image from Mo's Digital Pencil delightful!  He/She is called Walking in Winter and can be found here in Mo's store.
I've coloured the image, using my favourite blue combo, coloured the night sky masking of the moon shape which I've then used some Shabby White Frantage for a bit of sparkle.  I've continued using the Frantage for falling snowflakes and I've also added some white gel pen to further enhance the snow.

The snowflake border and snowflakes are Marianne Dies as are the enamel dots, and the background paper.  The side border paper was from my scraps.  And the sentiment comes with the image so I remember to add it to the image before printing!!

Marianne Products Used

Snowflake Border die - LR0486
Snowflake die trio - LR0393
Main background paper- Starry Night - PB7014
Enamel Dots - Snow and Ice

It certainly feels like the weather is on the turn at the moment - just not quite winter, thank goodness!

Katy Sue Designs Floral Wreath

I  made this wreath using a gorgeous set of  ready die cut flowers from Katy Sue Designs. They''re so nicely cut and so easy to use.

To make my wreath, I used some large circle dies on some Katy Sue Grey Board - it's construction grade so gives you a really nice firm centre to the wreath.  I then cut out two further wreath shapes in  in white card to cover the greyboard.

Once I'd pressed out the flower layers and leaves  from the sheets, I  inked all the edges with Tea Dye Distress Ink to give them an aged look.  I then spent a little time shaping and curling the petals with a ball tool.  I then made the flowers by layering up the petals remembering to place the petal layers in between each other to give depth to the flowers.

Before fixing the flowers to the wreath base, I punched a hole at the top and looped in some
co-ordinating ribbon to hang the wreath.  I then arranged the flowers and leaves until the wreath was filled.

Icy Watercolour - Die Cut Flowers & Leaves (Pack of 12)

As you can see from the picture of the flowers on the sheets, you can really change the feel of your make from cool and pretty to aged and shabby, so they really are versatile and saved on a whole load of punching out  or die cutting flower petals!

Hop on over here to the Katy Sue site to find the flowers.
