Christmas/Winter challenge at Passion for Promarkers

We have a great challenge of Christmas or Winter starting today at Passion for Promarkers which is appropriate  seeing as how it's got really cold here in the UK at the minute!

I've made cards with this fab Stamps by Chloe image - and just had to make a few more and this is another one of them.

I also love using these shades of winter blues with the image with just a pop of white for the embellishments - full list below.

Marianne Products Used

Frame- LR0234
Poinsettia -LR0234
Cones - LR0550
Sparkle Enamel Dot

The papers are mix of bits and pieces in my Christmas card paper box so can't tell you the make, sorry!

Our generous sponsor this week is Uniko stamps and they are offering one lucky winner 1 stamp set of their choice (which must be in stock) from their online store.  Their stamps are so gorgeous so why not pop over to the store and check them out.

Winter is Coming!!

Today's cards are very simple - I bought this Winter die by Sheena Douglass in last year's sale and it really doesn't need alot doing with it.  I thought it looked great against these papers from Marianne Design and then added the teeny Santa figure, also from Marianne Designs on top of the letters!  In this first one it looks like he's sprinkling the stars - of course I totally designed this!!

Winter Stars Papers - Victorian Christmas Pad - PK9125
Sinta Claus Mini Figures Dies - LR0496

I thought I might like the version with the thinner band but actually I like the first one, so may make a few more!!

It's rather appropriate anyway as it got so much colder here today although we didn't have the snow that the North East did!  Stay warm folks!

Mo's Santa Louis with Making Cards Magazine free papers!

Isn't this a lovely Mo image with Bronte dressed as a Reindeer- it's Santa Louis! (And Reindeer Bronte!)  So, I thought it would look perfect with these free papers and sentiment from Making Cards magazine - and it does!! I do love a bit of Red and White at Christmas!

The star die and icicle border are of course, Marianne Designs - details below:

Pierced Star frame die - LR0369
Icicle Crystal border die - LR0486

Poor old Bronte - he's looking a bit resigned to being dressed as a Reindeer!!

That's all for today folks

Twinkly Christmas

When I was visiting crafty friend and besty, Lesley, back in August, she bought this gorgeous frame die and let me cut a few  from it!  All it really needed was a background which I made with distress oxides and then added some Shabby White Frantage and a sentiment/tag (Marianne Happy Holidays sentiments CS1009) and I was done. Oh and I edged the frame with my Red Gold metallic Promarker for a bit of bling!  Nice and quickish set of Christmas cards made.  Just wish I could remember who the die is by!!

Lula Fairy Doll as a Christmas Elf!!

For today's card, I've used Mo's Lula Fairy Doll - she's kind of a dress up image and you can mix and match her with wings. leg warmers, a pretty skirt - just merge them in Photo shop or whatever programme you use.  Well, did you know, there is also a  fab freebie accessory stamp that you can use to dress her as a Christmas Elf as I've done here.  And, it was so easy as all I had to do was open both images in Photo shop and then drag the elf clothes onto Lula!

The frame is a Marianne one as is the sentiment, tag and loopy bows ( deets below).  The present strip at the bottom is one I've had in stash for years and can't remember where they're from!

Marianne Products used:

Frame Die - LR0371
Gift Wrapping Bow dies - COL1441
Sentiment Tag - CR1353
Sentiment Happy Holidays - CS1009

Enjoy your weekend!

Passion for Promarkers Bingo Board

Morning folks - I love a bingo board for making a card, don't you?  This one has been supplied by our fabulous Lisa for our challenge this week at Passion for Promarkers, and there are so many options!  I had to have image and die cuts though, so design papers was my third choice - love my papers too!

And as we're being sponsored by Dr Digi's House of Stamps this week, some of us got to play with their fabulous images - mine is called Naughty or Nice funnily enough!
Bingo Board week 466

From the pile of presents it looks like people are mostly on the nice list!  This fabulous sleighful of presents is a Marianne Designs die (COL1460) and it's quite fun putting the presents together in a selection of wrapping - almost like the actual wrapping at Christmas itself! The image is cut out with the Wonky Squares die set from Marianne too (CR1375) The papers are from Craftwork cards and the postmark stamp is Lili of The Valley. The naughty or nice sentiment has been in my stash an age and lost it's packaging so I don't know where this is from!

As I said, our challenge this week is being sponsored by Dr Digi's House of Stamps and they're offering the lucky winner 2 stamps of their choice from their range!

Check out the fab makes of my teamies here at Passion for Promarkers HQ.

A Beautiful Deer stamp from Chloe Stamps

I have fallen in love with this deer stamp from Chloe's Stamps and am rather pleased with how the card turned out which isn't too often I can tell you (I'm my harshest critic!)

I thought I'd also list the Promarker combo I used for a change as I'm rather bad at that.
For the image I used, Shale, Tawny Owl, Budding Rose, Tan, March Hare and Morning Mist.
For the dusky background I used, Midnight Blue, Twilight Sky, Hearth Stone, Grey Green and a little April Shower.
I've then used my blender pen to take out a little colour in places to give that slightly dappled look that I feel deers have!!

I've cut the image out already coloured using this beautiful frame die from Marianne, added the Holly leaves and some frantage!  The sentiment comes with the image which is lovely too and stamps beautifully,.

Marianne Products Used

Rectangular Frame Die - LR0351
Holly Leaves Die - CR1343

The weekend is nearly here so have a good one!

Dandelion Sympathy card

It's awful isn't it when you need to make a sympathy card and I've had to make too many this year!  This one was for a lovely lady with whom we shared  many happy, family occasions - our nieces' Nan from their other side of the family - RIP Diane.

I made the background with Distress Oxides and then used the dandelion stamp from Marianne designs along with the die which is very similar.  I chose the teal colours because that's the colour I always remember Diane wearing and looking fabulous!

A little list of Marianne products below.  I did also use the sand dune stamp on the base mat of the card but you can barely see this!

Dandelion Stamp - TC0837
Dandelion Die - LR0513
Sand Dune large Background stamp - CS0969

Christmas is Coming at Passion for Promarkers

Yayyhh - it's my turn to choose the challenge at Passion for Promarkers and I've chosen Christmas as a theme - never too soon to get cracking on those Christ-mouse makes!!
This adorable image is of course by Mo's Digital Pencil and comes with the sentiment so it makes it very easy to create your card!!  Click here to find Merry Christmouse in Mo's store.

I also adore this new bauble frame die from Marianne Designs (LR0560) and luckily framed my image perfectly!  I added some glitter card underneath but think a contrasting colour would show off the beautiful design better!  The tartan paper is the perfect matt and didn't really need a lot else - the little trees by the sentiment come with the bauble!!

Our generous sponsor this week is Di’s Digi Stamps and they are offering one lucky winner a $12.00 voucher to spend in their online store.  Their images are super cute so why not pop over to the store and check them out.
Di's Digital Stamps

My fab teamies at PFP have made some wonderful Christmas cards to inspire you - you can see them here.

I look forward to seeing all your wonderful makes this week!

Marianne Gnomes

I'm loving all the gnome stamps and dies that Marianne are bringing out this season and here's a card I made with a combination of the gnome stamps and lantern border.  I love the rustic feel of the beach fence too from their summer collection.

I love their little cute faces! A full list of all the Marianne products used is below.  The star frame behind the image is actually the new star circle die but I cut it in half and it looks almost heart-like I think.

Star Circle Die - CR1447
Sentiment Happy Holidays - CS1009
