Tracy Easson Angels - Believe

I have recently discovered the fabulous artwork of Tracy Easson thanks to a crafty friend posting on FB.  I just love these angels and the packaging they came in - wow!  So full of love and kindness and thankfulness!
Any way, I decided to stamp them on to some watercolour backgrounds that I'd prepared ages ago and then added some more shade and colour with watercolour brush paints.

The sets also come with the fabulous words which you can use individually or compile to make sayings - so in love with these stamps.

Also, I hadn't intended to make Christmas cards with them, but once I'd started to assemble them I just thought they'd make beautiful Christmas cards.  With this image you can choose to add the wings or not, so they don't even have to be angels!!

Check out Tracy's Etsy store here - she also has some gorgeous whimsical mouse stamps!!

Fairy Faith in Pastels

I've gone with pastel hues for this card which uses one of Mo's Digital Pencil's fabulous fairies - Fairy Faith. I've also coloured her up in more neutral tones so I'll share that in a day or so - always great to see the versatility of Mo's images!

The papers are Peppermint Frost from Craftwork cards which I think has closed down but still love the papers.  And aren't the new little bauble sets from Marianne Designs gorgeous - all details below!

PFP Make It Festive

I've been playing with my gnomies again!  Or should I say Mo's gnomies!  Love the flexibility of these new images from Mo's Digital Pencil and today I've mixed Folke from the Bjarni and Folke set here and Egli from the Tini and Egli set here.  And the tree is from Gnome Tree Set here.  My card is for the Make it Festive challenge starting today at Passion for Promarkers.

I coloured the background with my promarkers too - love this blue sky!! The Promarker combo was Indigo Blue and Royal Blue.  I did use some China blue too as a third colour but it wasn't really needed.

I then added some big blobs of snow with Chunky White Frantage Embossing Powder.
The background papers are Frozen Winter from Marianne Designs as is the sentiment and book tag die.  Details below.  The little lantern is a Memory Box die.

Lavinia scenes

A while ago, I purchased a large square gel plate by Marianne Designs thinking that I could cut it to size to suit me.  However, it was very difficult to cut and I got rather jagged edges on the little rectangle piece that I'd cut!  However, I rather like the result I've got here with the uneven edges - it suits the mixed media style of these.
Once I'd  finished the rectangle topper, I then stamped the image again onto the card blank and fixed the topper in line with the stems.
That's all for today -off to my craft room now for some more making!!

Marianne New Snowflake Mixed Media Stamp

Marianne Designs have some fabulous new Mixed Media stamps coming out this month.  I am in love with this snowflake stamp - it's also quite a big stamp (my cards are C6 in size).  I stamped it onto some Distress Oxides backgrounds that I'd prepared a while ago just waiting for the right project and this was it!  I've also added a little Blue Glass embossing in some spots but it's not really picked up on the photo,  The Christmas comes with a Sentiment set released last month, details below.
I've also done some embossed in White onto blue and red backgrounds - equally love these!!  And the sentiments for these are printed onto the smallest bookmark/tag die that comes in the set, again details  below.

Snowflake Stamp - MM1636 - NEW!
Christmas Sentiment from Set - MM1630 (Sept release)
Bookmark/Tag dies - CR1510

Already got some more on the go as I love the stamp so much!!

More Autumnal feels with Lavinia Stamps

I started off making this card with just the oval coloured and clear white border but as you can see it didn't work - my ink leaked into the white border and so I ended up inking it all.  Having said that, I quite like the foggy , misty feel of it so decided to post anyway.  The pods are from Lavinia stamps and the Autumn tag  and tiny script stamp are from Marianne designs - MM1630 - a lovely mixed media set.

Have a great week,

Anything But a Christmas Card

Now I am in full Christmas card making mode at the minute, so it was nice to take a little break and celebrate the last hurrah of Summer for our new challenge at Passion for Promarkers this week.  Our lovely Lisa has chosen the  theme of Anything But  Christmas- a great open-ended theme as long as you use your Promarkers, Flexmarkers etc.

I've decided to use this super newish image (from August funnily enough), called August from Mo's Digital Pencil - love this little friendly duo! The sequins on the image were originally to hide a tiny dirty smudge ( I am not a clean worker!!), but actually like the way they look like little bubbles of air!  There's also a list of Marianne Products used, below.

Papers - Birds and Flowers - PK9085

Mo Manning Three Penguin Chicks

I love these cute little Penguin Chicks from Mo's Digital Pencil - such fun to colour up.  You get three in the set too - great value and can just as easily be made into cards on their own - although they do look so sweet together!

They didn't really need a whole lot else either - I just matched them with these gorgeous My Mind's Eye Christmas papers.

Happy Saturday people!

Marianne Autumn Vibes

Thought I'd do a little bit of mix media work with new goodies from Marianne Designs.  I started off by inking through the Cobble Stones stencil with  a variety of  Distress Oxides, then splatted some water and dried off.  I then used this gorgeous new mixed media stamp of sunflowers and leaves.  I then added a bit of extra colour on the flowers.  Next I used the new mixed media sentiment set which gives you Autumn, Winter and Christmas, a small text stamp and some seasonal sentiments.  I then cut out some wildflower die-cuts from both of the sets that Marianne have recently brought out, layered them into a bouquet and finished off with the Autumn Sentiment over the top.  A list of products used is below.

Autumn foliage and flowers stamp - MM1633 - NEW!
Autumn/Winter Text set - MM1630 - NEW!

Mo Gnomes Hedda and Frode

More Mo Gnomes from me today- this couple are Frode and Hedda who come as a couple here.

I took my colour choices from this fab paper from the Marianne Designs paper pad Brocante Winter - it's a beautiful set of blues, greys and purples - a little bit icy, a little bit nordic!

The snowflakes are from an older set of heart dies from Marianne - it has this snowflake die as a central die which was just as well because I couldn't find my main set of Marianne snowflake dies in  my Christmas stash!! The little tree lanterns are also from a much bigger set - CR1374 which makes a shadow box - sometimes just the thing you need is a small die from a bigger set!  Full list of Marianne products used below.

Lavinia Twilight Trees

I fell in love with a card tutorial  that Tracey Dutton of Lavinia Stamps posted a few weeks ago on Youtube here.  I've also discovered that I can get Youtube in my craft room with the Firestick I have in there!  So I decided to follow along with the tutorial stopping and starting as I went.  I didn't have quite the stamps or products that Tracy used apart from the Fern branches so I made use of what I do  have and I was so pleased,  I went on to make  made ten cards to add to my Christmas stock.!!  Given me a lot of confidence with the techniques that Tracy showed too, so expect to see more!!
