Basic Grey Challenges - Ribbon and Lace

(Scroll down to  my next post to see the winners of my candy!)
Morning!  It's time for the new challenge at Basic Grey challenges and we have a nice and easy one for you - Ribbon and Lace!  Just add some to your card and voila - of, course remembering to use a Basic Grey product and telling us what you've used!
When I saw this new image from Mo Manning, A Little Birdie Told Me, I just had to have it and couldn't wait to start using it!  As I'm now in full Christmas mode, it had to be done in Christmas colours and you know what, I really like it- but as you can see from Mo's picture, it could work for any time of the year!

My papers are Basic Grey Jovial and a little bit of Eskimo Kisses, I think - my pads have started to fall apart and so I'm getting a bit muddled about what is from where!
The poinsettia is a Marianne Die,and the Holly is Cheery Lynn.  The ribbon and lace are from stash.
The BG girls have made some awesome cards to share with you, take a peek here to be delighted!!  And don't forget that we have our regular sponsor with us, Simon Says Stamp with a fabulous $25 dollar voucher on offer to one lucky entrant to the challenge!

That's it from me for now, have a great weekend, dear bloggers!

Bauble Baby

Hi there - I'm really running on empty at the minute!  Popping really quickly to share a bit of Christmas spirit in the form of this little lovely First Christmas available at Mo's Digital Pencil of course,  although I can't help but call him Bauble Baby!
I had originally just intended to make a tag but then remembered the bauble embossing folder I have and added the ribbon and the tag to make it look like a pressie! The large bauble is a Stampin Up stamp and punch combo, the white one is part of the image which I've glittered up and the brighter green one is from a Dovecraft punch that I bought at Ally Pally at the weekend for a £1 - bargain!
Dashing off now, commenting to do and hubby's presents to wrap for tomorrow ( which will be today when you read this!)

Sketch N Stash Time

Hello bloggers - well I'm back massaged, scrubbed and relaxed from my fabulous spa weekend with my friends, loved it but have missed my cardmaking fix over the weekend!! My  apologies too for not catching up with what you've all been up to craftwise.
This is my card for the new challenge at Sketch N Stash and it's our fabulous Jen's turn to draw the sketch and I love it Jen!
We're also been sponsored by the gorgeous TiddlyInks and I would have used one of their images as I love them but dont' think the hubster would have appreciated it as I needed to make a card for his birthday tomorrow and he doesn't really do cute!    Still, we have a very yummy $10 voucher for the lucky winner so do join us!!

As I said, my card is for OH's birthday and this Cowgirl is a Kenny K digi, Cheyenne.  She's coloured with my Promarkers and Flexmarkers - loving those boots!!

The papers are  Miss Caroline from My Mind's Eye and the gingham panel, I stamped myself with a Paper Trey Ink stamp. The Alamanac advert, I think is 7 Gypsies, the sentiment is also PTI cut with a new Spellbinders label set.  The arrows are chipboard and are the stash items that have been lurking for a while! The string is ... well, string!!
Don't forget to check out the gorgeous makes from my SNS teamies here!
I also haven't forgotten that I need to draw the winners of my candy - but just need to find a small minute in the day to do it!!

I have Candy!! (About Time, I hear you cry!)

PLEAS SCROLL ON DOWN FOR MY LATEST POSTS
MO'S BLOG HOP IS THE NEXT POST DOWN!

Yes, I know I promised this a few weeks months ago, when I reached that magical  figure of a half century!  But time flies when you're having fun, don't you know, and it's been such fun being fifty - NOT!  Don't actually mind an awful lot but I do expect seats to be given up for me on trains and young men to offer to carry my heavy shopping home!!  NOT much chance of that here in London!
Any hoo, as promised I have a little candy in celebration and not just one but two!  I decided to do two smaller ones.  They both pretty much contain similar things, as shown in the pics (and listed further below) AND the fabulous Mo Manning has also so kindly given me a  $5 dollar voucher for Mo's Digital Pencil to add to each candy - what a fab boss eh!!

So, each candy will contain the following:

A $5 voucher to spend at Mo's Digital Pencil
A 6x6 pad - either Little Yellow Bicycle Swoon or Bo Bunny Time Piece
Around 15 12x12 K&Co papers
American Craft Ribbon
A sheet of pearls
Some neutral coloured buttons
Some glittered red, white and silver balls - perfect for your christmas cards
Black and Red mesh ( and it's far more red than orange as my pic seems to show it!)
White cotton scrim

I will also probably add some other bits and bobs when I post it out!

Easy peasy to join in - just add a comment below and  post a piccie in your side bar!
I'll keep it up for a couple of weeks with an end date of the 22nd September (I'm away with my friends celebrating being 50 that weekend, rather aptly, (so will draw and announce the winners, hopefully on the 23rd - also hope  to visit Ally Pally on the way home from my Spa weekend, so who knows, I might have some more goodies to add!)

Retro Santa

This is one of my reasonably quick quicky Christmas cards this year - using this fabulous Tim Holtz Santa.  As you can see he stamps out in black and white but I added some colour to his cheeks and some glitter to his fur trim.  Of course, he had to have some red somewhere so I coloured around him with my Promarkers.

The papers are Papermania Mistletoe and the little house scene is  from K&Co.

The sentiment was borrowed from my lovely matey, Lesley!

I'm off for a spa date with my fabby M&S friends tomorrow - can't wait!!  Hope you have some lovely plans for the weekend!

It's Hopping Day at Mo's!!

Can it really be the third Thursday in the month again?  Just where are the weeks going!
Well, it is that day and so it means we have another fabulous hop for you at Mo's Dream Team and this month the theme, as chosen by our awesome Jak, is School.
Now, you should have arrived here from the blog of the fabulous Jane but if you haven't and want to hop along, then you should jump right on back here to Jak's Blog.
For my card, I've used the super cute Erasmus - isn't she a sweetie!

My papers are a mix of October Afternoon  School House and Pink Paislee Old School. (See following the theme through!).
The  Aa Bb stamp is by Cat's Life Press and the little pencil is one that came out of a Christmas Cracker!  The little slate is actually sold as a gift label and the wooden letters are from stash, whitened with some acrylic dabber.
Right now, you should continue on your journey to the awesome Debby's blog and don't forget to leave comments as you stop of at each of the Dream Team's blogs  as  there are a couple of lovely $5 dollar vouchers hidden along the way!

Have fun hopping!

Passion for Promarkers - Clean And Simple

Hi all - hope you all enjoyed your weekend.  I had such a lovely day on Saturday with best matey Lesley - we went to the Stampin Up demonstration and it was so fabulous to meet one of my teamies on Mo'sDream Team - Debby4000!  She was there demonstrating lots of lovely SU goodies-lots of fab ideas and beautiful cards! Not only that, I've just had an email from Nikki, whose demo it was, to say I've won the free prize draw!!  Can't wait to see what I've won!!

Now, onto today's card and it's for the new challenge at PFP, with a theme chosen by our lovely Coops - CAS. Well, I really had to restrain myself from adding a flourish here and an embellie there, but I did it!!
My card is made using this gorgeous Mo image called Alice With Present and Bow - love her CAS but I think she could just as easily be used for Christmas with lots of papers and Christmas embellies!
The frame is cut with my new Marvellous Squares Nestie set and the sentiment is Paper Trey Ink.

This week's challenge is being sponsored by Joanna Sheen with a fantastic £10 voucher on offer to spend in the online store.

The rest of team one's makes can be found here - do take a peek at them, you won't be disappointed.  Hope you will play along too - I shall look forward to visiting!!

Happy Harvest Time at Basic Grey Challenges

I was full of good intentions last night to come in from work, do loads of blogging and prepare this post and the BG one for this challenge.  However, I was offered some last minute tickets to go and see Billy Elliott and I just couldn't resist!!  My eldest daughter came with me and we so enjoyed it!  The young boy playing Billy was amazing as indeed were all the youngsters in it!
Good job I hadn't left making my card till the last minute.

Our theme at Basic Grey Challenges for the next  fortnight is
Harvest Time - a chance to use all those rich autumnal colours and images and beautiful BG papers!
As I hadn't coloured up a Tilda in ages, I decided the theme was just perfect to show the lovely Tilda some love!
The tree is also Magnolia as well as the wooden bucket of apples at the side.  (I nearly made a booboo and placed a few of the little punch cut apples still hanging in the tree and then of course realised it's an oak tree!)
My Basic Grey papers are Pyrus - they are so autumnal and harvesty!!

The fence is a TH edger die, the grass a mixture of a Memory Box die and a Whiff of Joy Die.  The sentiment is by Stampin Up.

As always, we have the fabulous Simon Says Stamp sponsoring the challenge with an awesome $25 dollar voucher going to the lucky winner!!

Don't forget to pop on over here to see the rest of the DT makes for the challenge - they are stunning!

I'm entering my card into the following challenges:

Simply Magnolia - Anything Goes
Tilda's Town - Autumn Colours
Fab 'n' Funky - Harvest/Food

Right, I've got a date with a Stampin Up Demonstration this morning so better get cracking!!

Mo's Snow Day

The Christmas cards just keep on coming - this is Mo Manning's Snow Day.  I love this image, it reminds me of the little Snow Baby figures that I get out with my Christmas decorations each year.
As you can see, I made an easel card. and added a few Memory Box Twiggy Trees and Snow Flurry Corners.  The snowflakes are a Marianne Creatable die.

I've coloured with my flex and promarkers, as always, and added some stickle glue for his fur trim.
The pom pom edging, was I think from the Ribbon Girl and the Sentiment is Lili of the Valley.

The little snowballs are from stash and I'm giving some away with my Candy so do sign up!!
