Mo's Grad Girl for our Emily!

Woah!  We've just had the glorious few days with our Emily home and the weather has been glorious!  We finished off with a BBQ last night and Nick has just taken Em and Jack to Carlisle to carry on their journey with a visit to Jack's family in Edinborough.

This image , Glad Grad Girl from Mo's Digital Pencil was perfect to give Em her congratulations for achieving a First in her Art Degree from Camberwell School of Arts.   As the card says, so proud of her (a Stampin Up sentiment).  The papers are V&A William Morris papers, the Oh Em Gee stamp is so appropriate and is from Mama Elephant.

The arty brush strokes and cross hatches are Marianne Mixed Media stamps ( MM1608/1624 and EC0162) as is the little scroll (LR0419).

And, I finally found a use for a box of die-cut squares that I bought from Hobbycraft nearly 15 years ago when I first started making cards!  I stuck a few together and added a tassel to make the mortar board!!

Always so sad to see them go but we will see Em next month when we head south for her graduation ceremony.
Have a great weekend.

New Mushroom Home anyone?

I love this little Mushroom Hut image from Mo's Digital Pencil and it's just great for a new home card, especially teamed up with the Mushroom Stencil from Marianne Designs.  The image comes either merged or separated from the little chair and stool so you can choose your preference - I've used the merged version.

There's my usual list of Marianne products below - I didn't really think the bird/cat dynamic through - it's either a humungus robin or a teeny cat - you decide!!

The papers are from KaiserCraft - Magnolia Grove and the words are from a Tim Holtz set - I do love the little phrases he uses!

Marianne Products Used

Mushroom Mask Stencil - PS8015
Sign Post Die - LR0535
Grass Die - CR335
Cat Die - LR0591
Robin Die - LR0548

The weather's been glorious this week up here in Cumbria and our Em is home Monday to celebrate getting a first for her Art Degree - what a star she is!  Happy Days!

Katy Sue Designs Moulds and Peel-offs as stencils!!

Hope you're all watching Jak Heath with Leonie at the moment on Hochanda - showcasing these fabulous silicone moulds from Katy Sue Designs along with lots of other goodies for Mixed Media projects.

For these cards I've used the peel-offs as stencils for the background with brushos and Distress Oxides, the moulds with Hearty White light as air clay and this fabulous gossamer-like material for the dress (which I've also coloured with brushos to make the waistband.

The Peel-offs really do make great stencils - I love the effects here.  And the moulds are fabulous, they give such great detail in the clay and they're so flexible that you can get the moulded shape out really easily!

Don't worry if you're missing this show - Jak is on again at 3pm!

Moon Baby from Mo's Digital Pencil

Today's card was made for the newest addition to our family, our great-nephew, Theo, who was born to Hannah and James on May 4th!
I'd already made the card as Love You to The Moon and Back is a very special sentiment for my sister and her family so Moon Baby from Mo's Digital Pencil was just perfect! But then he was born overdue and born on Star Wars Day so just wanted to add War into the sentiment but didn't!
The sentiment is PTI but pretty much everything else was from Marianne Designs, full details below.

Star Circle - CR1447
Star Flourish - CR1294
Letter Garland Dies - LR0340

Lavinia Fairies for my magical girl!

It was our Holly's birthday earlier this week and she's such a nature girl, I thought she would love a Lavinia scene - this could be her and Violet!!

I made the background with Distress Oxides and then coloured in with my Arteza waterbrush pens.  I've then added some Distress Oxides for the ground and edging.

I meant to stamp the blessings words stamp before I added the fairies and flowers etc but forgot but  instead I stamped it on after with Memory Box London Fog so it still has that faded into the background!

I'm also entering my card into this month's Lavinia challenge where the theme is Make It Bright.

Funny, I was pleased with this card until I put it together and now, hhmm - wish I'd done the top part differently but there you go. I just love this border from Marianne though so went with it - full list of Marianne products used below:

Baby Fairy Daffodil

I know this is a bit late for Easter but still great for a spring card!  This little cutie is Baby Fairy Daffodil from Mo's Digital Pencil of course!
It's a very simple card for me but I love these papers so didn't want to cover them over.  The stitched frame die is from Marianne - CR1467 from their April 19 release - and the daffodil is also Marianne - LR0399.

Have a great weekend peeps!
