Christmas Critters at Passion for Markers

Hi folks

It's my turn to choose the theme for our weekly challenge at Passion for Markers and I've gone with a Christmas Critters theme.  I've used a Marianne set of cute hedgies which I think  are now out of production but they're still rather cute! And I love the new stocking dies from Marianne - I've made sure to hang three so all the hedgies have  got one!  A full list of Marianne goodies  used is below.

Before you go, don't forget to check out the gorgeous makes of my teamies at PFM here.  And, do remember that you must use a marker of some kind and point them out to us in case it's not too obvious!

It's the  First of December tomorrow  and time to open your advent calendars - I'll be sharing a project using  the gift that is behind window 1 of your Marianne calendar!

Anything Christmas

We have the perfect theme for you today for the new challenge at Passion for Markers - anything Christmas, so perfect for anyone needing to add to their Christmas card count!

I've used this gorgeous truck image from our sponsors - Leann's World 101 - it's called Driving Home!

I've used my favourite small rectangle die set from Marianne as well as the small tress - details below.

Small Rectangle Frame  die set - CR1563
Small Trees Die set - LR0556

The papers are Stampin Up.

As I said, we're being sponsored by Leann's World 101 and the DT have been lucky enough to work with some of their fab images.  The winner of our challenge will be able to choose 2 digi images of their choice!

Oh, and don't forget to check our my teamie's makes here!

Lavinia Baubles

Following on from following Jo Rice's Lavinia Tutorials  a couple of blog posts ago, it definitely gave me the confidence to follow my own ideas (although I'm sure this type of Lavinia make must be plentiful!).

This time I did the circle as Jo does but then just stamped the top of the circle and to me it looks a little like a Christmas bauble so I've made a few of these for cards this year.  I think I have only 10 more cards to make for my Christmas list so almost there!

Oh and I do love these small dwelling stamps in the next card!

Thanks for popping by!

Crafty Sentiments Joy of Christmas

I'm a Klutz - I meant to use this image for our 3 Design Papers challenge at Passion for Markers that started yesterday!!  So here's another card for the challenge using our sponsor image, Crafty Sentiments' The Joy of Christmas - he's a great little snowman isn't he!

The papers are from The Works - another of their great quality 12x12 pads for £3!  Such a bargain (even though I need papers like a hole in the head!

I've used a couple of new Marianne products too including the children and sledge die and the Ice Crystal Stitching border die that I've not used any stitching on! I still like the effect and I have the option to stitch another time - dual purpose!

Lavinia Stamps and tutorials

I love Lavinia Stamps but sometimes just don't know where to  begin.  So, the Design Team tutorials are fab.  I've been particularly looking at  Lavinia creator, Tracy's, Jo Rice and Eileen Godwin tuts and had intended to go down to the Open Day at Lavinia Stamps on the Friday just gone.  However, the weather here has been atrocious and what with that and the distances, I decided it was best not.

So the card above is following Tracy's tutorial and the one below is following Jo Rice's which I subscribe to on YouTube.

And it's very true that Jo said on her tutorial that once you have followed along, you  then start to figure out how you want to use the stamps.  I'll have a few more to share in a couple of days.
