Lavinia Lupin and Berries

I've been getting inky fingers with these cards using the gorgeous Lupin from Lavinia Stamps and following a tutorial that Tracey from Lavinia posted on social media - showing how to use the new Distress Glaze from Tim Holtz.  It's fabulous!!

I'm always nervous when getting inky fingers and often wonder how to get started so the tutorials are the perfect way to dive in until you grow in confidence with this way of making cards.

It's nice too as you get to do a bit of colouring - I've used Arteza watercolour brushes to colour Lupin here.

Lavinia Baubles

Following on from following Jo Rice's Lavinia Tutorials  a couple of blog posts ago, it definitely gave me the confidence to follow my own ideas (although I'm sure this type of Lavinia make must be plentiful!).

This time I did the circle as Jo does but then just stamped the top of the circle and to me it looks a little like a Christmas bauble so I've made a few of these for cards this year.  I think I have only 10 more cards to make for my Christmas list so almost there!

Oh and I do love these small dwelling stamps in the next card!

Happy Birthday!

I was totally smitten by a CAS card made by Chris Stokes who creates this style of card perfectly.  It was also a perfect card for my daughter's partner who is a bee keeper.  You can see Chris's version  in the Clean and Simple card making group on Face Book and lots more of Chris's stunning cards here on her blog.

I've used a Lavinia stamp for the bees and a hexagonal stencil that I found in my stash!  The birthday die is a PTI one that I've cut out several times for depth and stamped with the matching stamp from the set.

Lavinia Moonlight Stag and Trees

These are a few more Christmas cards I made with Lavinia stamps on some backgrounds made with distress oxides and brushos, then cut out.

A little bit of glitter and a sentiment and done.
