More Marianne Poinsettias

Today's card is another with the fabulous Poinsettia stamp from Marianne Designs but this time I've  stamped it off centre at either corner.  I've coloured it with copics then added some Crystal embossing powder on the berries.

I'd cut and layered the Christmas word  (sadly now discontinued)for another project but couldn't get it fit so have used it here to much better effect I feel.  I've also added the Crystal embossing powder onto the word so it does sparkle in the right light!

A full list of the Marianne Products I've used are below.

Distressed Frame Die Set - CR1565
Poinsettia Stamp - MM1649
Christmas Die, Stamp and Sentiment Set - KJ1719

Weather is awful here for the next few days, wind and rain, so gonna hunker down in my craft room this afternoon after a shop for the groceries this morning!

Wish Big Eclipse

Another Eclipse style card I made a few weeks ago for a male birthday using an old Kanban stamp and a scrap of design paper I had.  Not sure the recipient needed to wish for this car as I think he had one at some point!!

The 'BIG' letters are a Marianne die set - CR1513.

Lavinia Lodge

I love these new dwelling images from Lavinia Stamps especially as I could do a little colouring with my Copics and then do a little inking.  The trees are all the same stamp - Fairy Fir Tree - I just masked off the bottom for the one by the lodge and masked off the lodge itself to position it behind.  I used Versafine Clair Morning Mist for the inking along with some of Lavinia's Acetate masks for landscaping.  There was a little Twilight ink left on the acetate which has given this green/grey background which I think was a happy accident.

I am definitely going to make a few more of these for Christmas.

We're using Dies and Punches at Passion for Markers

It's new challenge day at Passion for Markers and our theme this week is Dies and/or Punches.

Well, I grabbed my Marianne Dies (of course) and also found this little lovely looking for some love in my printed images. This is Little Elf Tippi from Mo's Digital Pencil.  It seemed the right thing to frame him with the Lantern Die from Marianne Designs - full list of dies I used below.

A Red Frost

I'm a bit late posting this today but had a call to arms!

So, this is Frost from Mo's Digital Pencil  but in some unfrosty colours  - we actually had our first frost here yesterday morning!

I've coloured her with copics  - R89/R39/R29/R27.

The frame is a fabulous Marianne one - LR0627 - and the papers are a great pad  of 12x12  Christmas papers from The Works.

That's me for now - looking forward to a bit of Strictly tonight - and we have Holly and Violet sleeping over, yayyyyhhh!

A Christmas Eclipse Card

I've seen a few of this style of card around and about on social media, so looked up a few tutorials on YouTube and away I went.    This gorgeous new stamp from Marianne Designs was just perfect for the project too!   I stamped and coloured the image in first and then picked my letter dies and fixed them in place with low tack masking tape.  This was the scary bit - cutting the letters without them moving, especially after spending some time colouring!  The only problem I had was peeling off the masking tape after - despite it being low tack AND sticking it against my jeans before using AND peeling it off very gently, it still tore the top layer of paper off.  Hence, my use of Shabby White Frantage embossing powder.  I quite like the effect in the end,

Finally, I layered the image panel onto the Slimline Distressed die cut base and added some Crystal Stickles to the berries.

Oh and the letter Dies are by Christine Griffiths which I got from Craft Stash

Watch out for more of these, love them!!

Red Gnome Day

Morning folks.  I hope we've all recovered after yesterday's social media outage!!

Today's card is for the 'RED' challenge at Passion for Markers that starts today as set by our fab Lorraine.  We just want to see red somewhere on your card - Red corner to corner or a touch, you decide.

I love these gnomes from Mo's Digital Pencil - I've used the set Tini and Egli, and also Frode from the Frode and Hedda set.

I also love this new frame set from Marianne Designs this month - love the distressed edging and you get a lot to mix and match especially combining with their other slimline dies.  (Details below of what I have used).

Hold on to your Hats!

I wasn't going to make any Halloween cards this year as I
don't tend to use them but I was fiddling around with a new pyramid die from Marianne Designs and came up with this!  I was really working out how to use the frame and I'm not sure that this is the right way but it's very versatile!  I've used it like a triangular stand but you can use it to make stars, for decorative cards, all sorts.  I've then added a whole load of leaves, trees and other Marianne die cuts - full list below.

The image is Hold On To Your Hats from Mo's Digital Pencil - a real favourite of mine
