Passion for Promarkers - Weather Challenge

Well, who would have thought we'd be in the middle of a heatwave when I chose our Weather themed challenge for Passion for Promarkers many months ago! I thought my card would be more representative of the weather for June!

Anyway, I've used an exploding box die from Marianne Designs for my card, along with the fabulous Splash from Mo's Digital Pencil.  I used her as she reminded me of our little Violet who loves jumping in a muddy puddle!!  Not just any old puddle, a muddy puddle!  (I think it's from Peppa Pig!!)
The papers are from Tonic Studios and the Umbrella is a Memory Box die - everything else is from Marianne - full list below.  I also added some glossy accents to her her coat, boots and hat! Oh and I do love the splash die which comes with a dolphin and a ball!

Marianne Products Used:

Mo's Suso

This has to be one of my favourite images from Mo's Digital Pencil - Suso - I love the expression on her face!  She also reminds me of our little Violet who loves talking to ants and woodlice telling them they're her best friends (just before she squashes them!!).

I let Suso as she is called do the talking here and didn't use any dies or embellies really apart from the papers and cut out bits that were part of the pad.  The sentiment is great and comes with the image.

Think it's going to be a scorcher here today - we have the gorgeous Violet for  a bit this morning, and then I might go to Woolfest here in Cockermouth in the afternoon!!

Enjoy your Weekend!

Our Fabulous Holly!

Our Holly was 30 last month - eek- and she has recently started a pop-up market stall with her friend, selling pantry staples and cleaning products that aren't wrapped in plastic.  So you take all your jars, containers and bottles and they refill them for you so you're not adding to the plastic pollution!
So, I made this card using a load of dies and things I've had in my stash for ages but have barely used!!  Hubby made a few comments!!

The large sentiment is from Lili of The Valley, the Scales are Sizzix, and the small jars stamp, dies and sentiment combos are from PaperTrey Ink - Holly's business is called Goodness and Grain so I altered the sentiment on the small jar below!!
The little plastic jar above ( not that it reflects their ethos!!) is from Jolee and the paper is from October Afternoon.

That's all for today, folks!

Kate from Mo's Digital Pencil

This has to be one of the simplest cards I've made in ages.  I love the paper so much that I didn't want to cover it with lots of layers and dies. and I think the image looks just perfect without any added fuss.  She is the gorgeous Kate from Mo's Digital Pencil, who by the way has a 35% off sale on a whole load of images that are being retired, so don't miss out - check them out here!!
The flowers and leaves stamps and dies below were a recent freebie from Simply Cards and Papercraft magazine,

We have our gorgeous Violet for a bit this morning, love her!!

Passion for Promarkers Make It Manly!!

Our new challenge starting today over at Passion for Promarkers is all about the men, not a bad shout seeing as it's Father's Day here in the UK this coming Sunday.
I've used this cute image from our sponsor, Lacy Sunshine, and he's called Lil Lazy Gnome.
I teamed him up with some paper from a Fancy Pants pad called Park Bench and the sentiment comes from a Pebbles pad called Spring Fling.
I cut the little circles out from the paper with a punch and then shaped them to look like card candi!

I didn't think I needed much else and always think I can't embellish a male card too much, so quite like the end result.

As I said, we're being sponsored by Lacy Sunshine who is offering the lucky winner three digi images of their choice!!

My teamies have made some wonderful cards for this week's challenge - check them out here and then come and join in !!

Have a great day!

Birthday Pig!

What's not to love about a piggy eating cake from the middle of the cake!!  This is Birthday Pig from Mo's Digital Pencil.  I kept the layout quite simple because the papers are so strong - NitWit papers from Lili of The Valley.

The sentiment comes with the image, so what could be simpler!!

Catch up soon!

Is it Autumn yet?

I know, I know, we've barely had summer here in the UK but May here in The Lake District has been truly glorious - I do wonder if that's it (SSSSSShhh!)
Anyway, the image is called Harvest Dance from Mo's Digital Pencil - I do hope I've not wished the summer away!
I cut out the image with a die from a Marianne set, and then used their fab spider's web edge die, some toadstools and a fab new wave border die that is out this month!  Full details below:

Wave border edge die - CR1442- NEW
Pierced edge circular die - LR0180
Web edge circular die - LR0430
Toadstools - LR0372

Have a great day!!

Happy Summer with new Marianne Stamps

I finally found some time the other day to play with these gorgeous new floral stamp sets from Marianne Designs.  I sort of wanted to get a barge art effect when I started it out but it transformed into this!

I started with some dark chalk finish paper.  I stamped a variety of the stamps in Versamark and then added white embossing powder.  I tried a variety of different mediums to colour in the flowers and eventually settled on my Posca pens which gave this lovely, opaque, vibrant colour finish.
I then stamped the sentiment on another piece of the chalk paper and embossed it, then added a few more flowers (some of these are from the Marianne Make It Summer Stamp set from last year).

As you can see, I've not worried too much about colouring/shading or overspill of embossing powder as it all adds to the style!!

All the Marianne products I used are below (there is also a leafy set of these stamps in the same series!).

Maker is Me Floral Stamps - KJ1722 - NEW!
Maker is Me Summer Sentiment Stamps  - KJ1714
Lace Edge Die - CR1414

I'm cleaning our holiday let this morning then I think it's Nanny duties pm while Holly carries on with her move!
