SNS New Challenge Number 136

Today's card is for our new challenge over at Sketch N Stash.  And because I've used a Prima Media Doll Stamp which doesn't really fit my usual square cards, I've stretched the sketch  a bit to an A5 size.
I decided to do  a bit of Paper Piecing and used some co-cordinating papers from a Paper Mania Rose Garden 12x12 pad. This was the stash item that has been in my collection for quite  a while now!
I added some chiffon roses and some Dazzlers for a bit of sparkle!
Added a  few pearls and a die-cut sentiment from the same pad.
Our sponsors for this challenge are the fabulous Live and Love Crafts - a recently new shopping find for me - lots of vintagy goods in stock there!

I don't know where the weekend went - in fact life has been a bit hectic recently!  Did I mention that someone tried to break in but Holly disturbed them, they didn't get in but smashed a pane of glass in the front door - she's been a bit shaken about it , not surprisingly.  What with other stuff, it's all been a bit scary! We have building work going on too, so wondered if the scaffolding tempted him in!

Anyway, enough of that, do go and check out the fab makes of my fellow DT members over at Sketch N Stash, here.  And do come and play along with us- just think of the fab prize from Live and Love Crafts!!

Passion for Promarkers New Challenge - Embossing - Dry or Heat

We have a new challenge starting today over at Passion for Promarkers with the theme chosen by ME!  So I've chosen Embossing, Heat or Dried or both in my case!
I've used another adorable digi  image from Mo Manning called Paddy which you can find here in Mo's  store.
For the embossing, I embossed the cream paper for the middle flower with a grid-effect folder to match the background paper and then I also embossed the middle kraft coloured mat.  Finally, I added a load of Aged Taupe and Aged Ivory Frantage for a bit heat embossing.

I think the papers are by an american company called Recollections- they were part of the 10 kilos I bought back from California last year!

Our sponsors for this challenge are the fab Polka Doodles, so I do hope you will come along and join in with this week, just remember to use your Promarkers, Flexmarkers, Tiras or Aquamarkers in your project.

Mo's Goodness and two top threes!

Hi there bloggers - where has this week gone, I just do not know.  Very busy at work and have felt brain dead in the evening doing all those sums!  So haven't been on here much and forgot to post this little lady and also to proudly display a couple of Top Three wins, one from the lovely ladies at Sketch Saturday for my Mummu card recently here and one for my Book Frame card here which I entered at Creative Moments- thank you ladies, I'm well chuffed!!

Back to today's card and this is the super cute, Goodness from Mo's Digital Pencil.

What a sweetie she is don't you think - Mo's homage to the wonderful Shirley Temple! I've coloured her with my Promarkers and then layered her up on some Go Kreate dies and October Afternoon Papers with a little Lili of the Valley sentiment.

I'm entering my card into the following challenges:

Crafty Hands: Buttons and Bows
That's Crafty: Inky Challenge - used alcohol ink and Fired Brick Distress Ink on the frame
Crafty Ribbons: Anything Goes with a ribbon.
Shopping Our Stash:  Buttons and Bows
Right, need to go off and do some chores now before getting down to  some crafting later!  Happy Saturday!

Hi there- hasn't it been a glorious weekend here in the UK - boy did we need some sunshine!  Easter will also soon be on us and so I've made an Easter card this week, for our new challenge at Sketch N Stash, using this cute Stitchy Bear image, who are also one of our sponsors this fortnight.
I think you can just about make out the sketch under all my layer!
As I mentioned, Stitchy Bear are one of our sponsors, and the other one is Crafty Individuals.

Prize $10
&
Crafty Individuals

I've coloured my image with my usual  pro/flexmarker mix and then added a few die cuts including this  Marianne Basket which I've threaded with ribbon and then filled with some punched Easter Eggs!
The sentiment is from Stampin Up.

The rabbit is a Tim Holtz die, (the gingham one is a little wooden one), the corners are from Dienamicz and my papers that you can barely see are Prima.
You can check out the gorgeous makes of my SNS teamies here and I hope you'll be inspired enough to play along with us!!
Have a great week.

Passion for Promarkers Butterfly Kisses

We have a fabby new challenge starting today over at A Passion For Promarkers - Butterfly Kisses.  Simply add a butterfly somewhere on your creation and enter our challenge.
I love the expression on this image, Mummu, by Mo's Digital Pencil.  I like to think she's finished her chores for the day and is going into the garden to enjoy some sunshine!
I've coloured the image with a mixture of Promarkers and Flexmarkers, and one or two Trias. My papers are DCWV Linen Closet Papers and the trellis die is a Marianne Die. The butterfly flourish is from Joanna Sheen and the little fence is a Tim Holtz die.  The sentiment is a Lili of  the Valley grunge one.
I've followed this week's sketch over at Sketch Saturday which I rather enjoyed using so I'm entering my card into their challenge.

Come and play along with us at PFP - check out the wonderful makes of my DT buddies here!  Thanks for popping by xxxx

Happy 80th Birthday to my MIL

We had a very special birthday here last weekend, my Mother-in-Law, Renee, was 80!  She's amazing too- totally active and out and about! I made this book card for her, as she is a real fan of vintage and books!
For my card, I followed a wonderful tutorial here by the fabulous Tina - I've been blown away by her awesome book cards and have totally cased her work for my first attempt at one.
I made a pocket inside the card for some gift tags bearing some days out to some of London's most beautiful palaces.

Of course, Vintage is not complete without a generous helping of Frantage which you can see here on a Tim Holtz mirror die cut and some chipboard letters.
The papers are a mix of Basic Grey and Prima Fairy Belle.
The sideboard die is a Marianne die and the little bag and mirror are from my stash.  Renee is also a huge Bronte fan, and I think the little cabochon of Charlotte Bronte was from Renee!
A pic above of the back and then below, a picture of the card in a box that I had to make because of course, no envelopes were quite going to fit!

Lots of the bits and pieces I used are from Live and Love Crafts including the beautiful pink poppy flowers and some of the stringed pearls and the pink lace around the picture. Live and Love Crafts have some wonderful vintage goodies and my parcel came beautifully  wrapped in tissue -I love little touches like that!

I'm entering my card into the following challenges:

Creative Moments - Anything Goes with Swirls and Pearls
Crafts and Me - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by and getting to the bottom of my picture-heavy post!!

Sketch N Stash New Challenge

We have a new challenge starting today over at Sketch N Stash using the sketch below.
My image is one that has been unopened in my stamp drawer for a while - I just love this Mabel Lucie Atwell image!
The papers are from Kaiser Craft- the Enchanted Garden pad.
The little toadstools at the bottom are cut with a Cheery Lynn die  and I added some Chunky White Frantage for the spots - I think they look like chunks of marshmallow!
We have a couple of great prizes this fortnight:

My Creative Classroom
Prize an online workshop
&
 Delicious Doodles

Prize 4 images
Some of my DT buddies have used some Delicious Doodles images for their DT cards, check them out here - and then come and play along with us!
