Passion for Promarkers - Recipe

Our new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers today has been chosen by the fabulous Nic and she's picked a recipe for you:

Three Papers, One Image, One Sentiment and Three Embellishments

I've used this gorgeous Lili of the Valley image  called Looking Glass and my sentiment is also LOTV.
Now I thought the challenge would be right up my street with all those papers and embellies to use, but it just made me realise how much embellies I do use!  So I've made the picture one embellie ( made of Wow embossing powder with a Martha Stewart mould, a cameo cabochon and Aged Wine Frantage), the lace flowers another and then the wood chandelier also frantaged, (and then you just ignore the pearls!)

My papers are from the Websters Hollywood pack, and layered onto a Memory Box Vaudeville frame.

Our sponsor this week is the fab Bugaboo and the winner will win 6, no 7 digi images of their choice!

The rest of my teamies on Team 1 have some stunning cards to share with you, so take a peek here and come along and join in our challenge!

Sketch N Stash Challenge 120

Morning - today's card is for our new challenge over at Sketch N Stash where we are using Sketch no 16 from our past catalogue, and we have an optional theme of Monchromatic cards.

I've used the fabulous Mr Fixit from Mo's Digital Pencil, for my son, Harry's, birthday tomorrow.  I don't think he looks on my blog so hopefully he won't see this!
Before his accident he was working at Pinewood as a prop maker for films, so I used this theme to inspire my card for him!  I hope it will inspire him to get back on his feet and get back to doing what he loved!
I've used Graphic 45 papers, Tim Holtz stash such as the film ribbon and the big film reel die cut, and Whimsy stash for the clapper board, and the wording in the stamped film reel border.
The rest of the bits and pieces are from stash with the newest thing being the stamp and just about everything else being at least  6 months old!
Our sponsor for this fortnight's challenge is
and the lucky winner will be the owner of the following lovely load of goodies!
Don't forget  to check out the rest  of  my SNS teamie cards here - they are gorgeous!
Have a great bank holiday ( here in the UK)!

Basic Grey Challenges Back to School or Good Luck

Morning everyone - what a miserable wet morning it is here in London.  I've not had a chance to make a card all week as we've been looking after Harry and getting him sorted, great news that he's home and so much improved.  Found out yesterday that he doesn't need another op on his hand - he just won't have a knuckle on his little finger! He's getting more and more mobile all the time too, which is more good news!
Onto my card for today, I made this last night!  The theme over at Basic Grey Challenges this fortnight is to make a Back To School or Good Luck card. I thought it would be a quickie, but took ages cutting out the individual hexagons from all my Basic Grey paper scraps - most of them are from the Green at Heart papers!  I used this fabulous special edition die from Simon Says  Stamp for the background mat and a Die-namics die set for  the larger hexagons with the lettering.

I was looking for a button to finish it off and found this shamrock button - perfect for the theme!!
As always, our wonderful sponsor, Simon Says Stamp is offering one lucky winner a fab $25 shopping spree in the Simon Says Superstore

(Please note: This is a voucher code that entitles the winner to a $25 saving off their order in Simon Says Stamp, P+P charges will still apply unless the conditions are met to earn free P+P, please check here if you would like to see these conditions)

I hope to get some more crafting time in over the weekend - what better thing to do on a rainy day!

A Winter Fairy from Mo

Hi everyone, you may have seen my post on FB about my son Harry, who had a crash on his bike.  Thank goodness he's ok but has a nasty break on his arm and also pelvic fractures so is going to be in hospital for a few more days yet.  So, I know I'm always saying sorry for not blogging, but hope you will forgive me at the minute!!
I am cracking on with the Christmas cards - this is number 3!!  I know, I've cracked it nice and early - only another 80 odd to go!

Any way the image is of course a fabulous Mo Manning Digi image called Winter Fairy Pyry which you can find here in Mo's store.
I coloured her with my Promarkers and then frosted up the cranberry string and the snow on her wings.  The holly corner and fir leaves are cut with Cheery Lynn Dies and the pine cones (also frosted) are made with a Tim Holtz Tattered Pine Cone die.  Oh and I followed the sketch over at Sketch  Saturday so will be joining in their challenge.
The papers are Webster's Pages and the sentiment is Lili of the Valley.
That's it then for now, have a good week y'all!!xx

August Blog Hop with Mo's Dream Team

Hi there, another third Thursday in the month rolls around, which means it's time for another Blog Hop with Mo's Dream Team.  Hopefully you should have arrived here from Gretha's Blog, where I know she had an awesome card to share with you but if you want to join in the hop, pop on back here to  our Jak's blog (she of a multitude of crafty talents and TV stardom!) to start at the beginning.

This month the theme is Fruit, so it can be one of Mo's images with fruit, some fruity paper or a fruity sentiment!!
I've chosen Snow White with her lovely crisp green apple - yum!!  To be honest I was spoilt for choice and Mo is adding a load of scrummy new images at the minute and she has a 20% discount which lasts until tomorrow (Friday 16th)!!!!
My papers are from the Botanical Pad by Prima, there's a couple of Memory border dies as well as the Leafy Branch. The mat behind Snow White is one of the new Grunge Element Stamps from Lili of  the Valley (love them!).
The sentiment banner is Spellbinders, with a Woodware sentiment, the little teeny tag on the basket is a Stampin Up stamp and punch combo, with the rest of elements being from stash.  The little blossoms on the branch are one of the first things I bought when I started card making years ago!!
Your next stop  the hope is over to my luverly teamie Debby Y, can't wait to see what she's got to show you!!  The full order of the hop is below ( links on my side bar if you need them).  Don't forget to leave a comment at each blog along the way as there are two $5 vouchers hidden on a couple of the blogs!

Jak, Gretha, Julie, Debby.Y, Heidy, Alice, Vili, Alexandra, Anneke, Danielle, Kaly, Mina,

Have fun hopping!

Passion for Promarkers - A Sketch

So sorry I'm late posting my card for today's new challenge at Passion for Promarkers.  We went out for drinks after work but I didn't get home late - about 9.30, and then I had a good catch up on the phone with one of my sisters, and then I was just about to sort out my post, when my daughter persuaded me to go and sit in the garden and watch the meteor shower!    I was so tired by this time and I promptly overslept this morning by an hour!  No problem, I thought, I'll do it in my lunch hour at work (as I'd already uploaded the pics) but then blogger wouldn't load properly!!!  Grrrrrr!

Here now though and our new challenge at PFP has been set by our lovely Loopy Lou who has drawn this great sketch.
Lous sketch challenge 211
And as we're being sponsored by Saturated Canary, I've used one of Krista's awesome images!
My papers are Echo Park and I've also used Spellbinders Marvellous Squares to cut the sentiment  mat, which is from the  Lili of the Valley Grungy Christmas set.
As I mentioned, our sponsor for this week's challenge is Saturated Canary and the lucky winner will win 2 digis of their choice!

Sketch N Stash Challenge 119

It's the start of a new week and the start of a new challenge over at Sketch N Stash and the start of my Christmas card makes for this year!  The sketch is below, and as you can see I've rotated it to suit the size of my image.
I've used this lovely Saturated Canary image and coloured her with my Promarkers.
My papers are from Prima 6x6 pads- I think Fairy Glen and Nature Garden, the flowers are cut with a Marianne Poinsettia  Die with copious amounts of  Aged Silver Frantage.  Finally, the sentiment is from Cat's Life Press.
Oh, it's so good to get the first Crimbo card under my belt ... and I have another one tomorrow!
And as the Saturated Canary Challenge Blog has an Anything Goes theme at the minute, I'm entering my card in there.

Our sponsor this week is........

Prize Cd of the winners own choice
and some bling

Wow, that  sounds like a great prize!  Check out  the rest of the team's cards here, and also say hi to all our new DT members - we're thrilled to  have such a great bunch of new teamies!!

Basic Grey Challenges- Weather

Hellooooo!  Well, the weekend has arrived which means it's time for our new challenge over at Basic Grey Challenges,  This fortnight's theme is Weather which we're certainly having a lot of here in London at the minute - sun, rain, storms - a good old British summer!
I've used another Mo Manning digi cutie - Singin In the Rain which you can find here at Mo's Digital Pencil, and coloured her with my Promarkers.  My Basic Grey papers are from the Porcelain 6x6 pad, lovely colours in this pad!
The flowers are mostly from Wild Orchid Crafts, the flourishes are a Cheery Lynn die, the frame around the circle is a  Marianne die and the sentiment is an East of India sticker from a set that I purchased recently - it seems perfect with this image!

Hope you will join us over the next fortnight  with lots of lovely weather inspired creations - just remember to use a Basic Grey product and tell us what it is.  You could win a $25 dollar voucher from our regular sponsor, Simon Says Stamp, to spend in their yummy online store.

(Please note: This is a voucher code that entitles the winner to a $25 saving off their order in Simon Says Stamp, P+P charges will still apply unless the conditions are met to earn free P+P, please check here if you would like to see these conditions)

And before you go, check out the rest of the cards from my fabulous BG teamies here!

Mo Manning - A Sister Is

Just popping up a card made with one of Mo Manning's latest digi images - A Sister Is....
Such a gorgeous image, don't you think! And it comes with a lovely sentiment about sisters too!
I've coloured the image with Promarkers and used Stampin Up papers for my matting and layering.
The flower die-cuts are Bluebells from Marianne Designs, flowers from stash and the sentiment is a Stampin Up stamp and punch combo.

Just a flying visit from me, busy, busy, busy at work - roll on the end of the month when I have two weeks off!
