Passion for Promarkers - Distressing!

Tuesdays are Passion for Promarkers Day and this week it's Team One's turn to share  our Distressed cards with you.  And as we're being sponsored by the lovely Janet at Pink Gem Designs the team have been lucky enough to choose an image from  the store to use for our cards!
The lucky winner could win four digi images of their choice so do come and play with us!

For my card, I've chosen to use Ginger with Garland - such a sweetie!
I've teamed her up (definitely a Mrs Gingerbread!) with some Basic Grey papers from the Nook and Pantry range and also added a little Gingerbread recipe card from Lili of The Valley!  Loving these at the minute!

The pink tinsel is Webster's Trim and isn't that mini Gingerbread cookie cutter fabulous - from my stash but cannot remember from where I purchased it!

I've used the sketch over at Sketch Saturday for my card - I do like a good sketch!
Lots of distressing with my Tim Holtz tool and that was me done.

Don't forget to check out the makes from my PFP teamies here - they are gorgeous!  Thanks so much for popping in - I am trying to get round to visiting but I just need a 72 hour day!!

Mo Manning's More

Ever since Mo brought out this fabulous image, More, I'm sure inspired by Oliver Twist, I've wanted to use him on a Christmas card.  I couldn't think quite how to use him then thought of the Christmas  carol We Wish You a Merry Christmas with the figgy pudding verse! So I printed it out and then used some music paper from a My Mind's Eye pad, and discovered that this music was the very carol!!
I singed the edges of the carol verses to add a bit of age - always a gambol in papercrafting room, don't you think!
I then stamped out this Christmas Pudding recipe from Lili of the Valley which can be removed for anyone of a mind to make their own pudding!  You might be swayed by the doleful look on this little guy's face and feel the urge to go bake!
I've used a Memory Box score and cleft die, to highlight the musical background, the poinsettia is cut with a Marianne die and the little holly corner is a Cheery Lynn  die.

I'm entering my card into the following challenges:

Winter Wonderland - Food Glorious Food ( appropriate given my little Oliver Twist!)
Crafty Creations - Christmas is Coming
My Mum's Craft Shop - Song Inspiration - We Wish You a Merry Christmas

Basic Grey - A Tag for your Presents

Morning bloggers and a Happy Saturday to you!  I'm back with our new challenge at Basic Grey Challenges and we have a nice easy challenge for you - make a Tag for your Christmas Presents.
I've used a Basic Grey ready made Tag from the Phresh and Phunky range and inked the edges with Pine Needles Distress Ink.  Of course, my snowman is a Tim Holtz die cut as is the Snow Flurry Die at the Bottom both cut from BG Basic Whites paper.  I've added a few die cut snowflakes and some snowballs, a couple of wintery brads and some fibres, some of which are Basic Grey.

I thought afterwards that I could put the name of the recipient in a little label on his belly, so I might do that when I decide who's the recipient!
We're being sponsored, as always be the fabulous Simon Says Stamp and you could win a $25 dollar voucher to spend in their on line store.

The DT girls have made some truly gorgeous tags to inspire you - I'd be as pleased with those without a present attached - so take a  peek here.
Have a lovely weekend.xx

Whiff of Joy Challenge - A Pic to inspire you!

Morning! It's time for our new challenge at Whiff of Joy this week and can I just say, it was fabulous to see so many people joining in with the last challenge!  We have a gorgeous wintery photo for you to use as inspiration this week so hope we continue to see lots of awesome cards again!

Linda
I've used one of my favourite WOJ gnome images and guess what, yep, more embossing powder!  I've used it on the wreath, the white and blue tree, and the icicle strip.  This time, it was Stampendust Stardust transparent.  My trees are a mixture Tim Holtz and Marianne dies and the sentiment is from Lili of the Valley.           For the larger tree and the tree border at the back, I used white core paper and sanded off the edges for that snow effect.  I also love my new Tim Holtz Tree border die!

Our sponsor for this challenge is Whiff of Joy with a fabulous prize of 15% off your next order from the Whiff of Joy store!!!

You can see the rest of my teamies' awesome cards here!

Mo Manning Christmas Card

Hi there - just popping in to show you another Christmas card, and without a person or animal in site!  This Mo Manning digi image is simply called Door With Wreath and is made for these Graphic 45 papers!

I seem to be hooked on heat embossing at the moment and have added some Stampendous White Opaque embossing powder to the door mantel, wreath and the ground around the door for the snow effect.  I then sprinkled some powder and heated it from underneath so it wasn't blown away - it looks like snow flurries dont' you think, or maybe the after effects of a snowball or two!
I do need to add a sentiment - I was looking for something like "From our House to Yours"  but may have to do this on the PC.

You can find the image here at Mo's Digital Pencil - thanks for popping in!

Sketch N Stash Challenge 101

Hi there folks, happy Monday to you.  I am being a terrible blogger at the  minute, I am so sorry that I've not managed to visit anyone recently, I feel so awful but so much to do, busy at work and lots of family stuff too.  I've hopefully got Wednesday off to start my Christmas shopping though - it'll be here before we know it!
This is our new and  fabulous sketch at Sketch N Stash Challenges, designed by our lovely Doreen, and as we're being sponsored by Lili of the Valley for this challenge, the DT and I have used  some gorgeous LOTV images  for our cards. LOTV are giving the lucky winner of our challenge, a fab £10 voucher to spend with them so come and join in our challenge!

If you would like to display our banner on your blog please grab one of these

I bought this Xmas image, Twinkling Star, at Ally Pally in October, along with a few other seasonal images!  I swore that  I wouldn't buy any more Xmas images, but I loved the ones I bought, and this challenge was the perfect carrot to make me show them some ink!
I've coloured her with my promarkers and then added white embossing to the falling snow and the ground.  I like the way that the specks of embossing powder that stuck where it wasn't supposed to have given her a sprinkly, snowy halo around her- you can just pick this up below.  I've also added some glitter to her fur trim  and spica glitter to the stars although this hasn't really  shown in my pics.
You can see the gorgeous glitter in the pic below.
I tried to sort through my Christmas stash and put it in some sort of order, and most of my papers were scraps from the sort out.  I think there's some PaperArtsy, HOTP and My Mind's Eye in there but I can't be certain!!  I've used more of the gorgeous Memory Box Star of Wonder die cuts, the ribbon is from stash and the tiny star and sentiment are from PaperTrey Ink.
The rest of the SNS team have made some awesome  cards to show you so take a look at them here.

I'm entering my card into the following challenges:

The Crafty Pad - Christmas
Fussy and Fancy - Feeling Blue ( I hope it's blue enough!)
Cute Card Thursday - Starry, Starry Night
My Mum's Craft Shop - Winter Wonderland

Mo Blog Hop Cards with a Gift

If it's the third Thursday in the month, it can only mean one thing!  It's hopping day with Mo's Dream Team .
If you're joining in the hop, hopefully you will have arrived here from  our lovely Jane's blog, but if you didn't and want to join in, head back here to the start at Kerttu's blog who has chosen this month's theme of  Cards with a Gift inside.

I decided to make a purse card to hold a gift card inside and used  the fabulous Witches Trick.
The frame was cut with a Memory Box Die as were the bows on the presents,  The little  felt gingerbread man was from my local Pound Shop and the even teenier wooden one is  from Make It Crafty I think.  The papers are K&Co.
The above picture shows the inside with gift card in situ!    I cut the holder with some help from besty, Lesley, and her press die cutting machine!  The above looks a little wonky but it isn't in real life!! I haven't shown the entire inside as I put some velcro on the handles inside to hold it shut and, actually, I think spoils it a little.  Note to self - buy some velcro round fasteners, (I'm sure I've seen them somewhere!)

Also, remember that if you are hopping, leave a comment for  each of the team as there will be hidden two yummy $5 dollar vouchers  to be won by two lucky hoppers!!
Right, your next stop on the hop is over to the fabby Debby4000's blog.
Hope you have fun hopping and enjoy what you see!!

PFP Moon and Stars

We have a gorgeous theme for you this week at Passion for Promarkers - Moon and Stars, as chosen by our lovely Lisa! I've used both but you can use either or. My image is the exquisite Winter Fairy Halla, of course by the fabulous Mo Manning and you can find it here.

I've cut out my stars with a Memory Box die, Star of Wonder, and my silvery moon (by the light, by the light of the silvery moon) is cut from the same foiled paper.  The silhouette of Santa on his way is from a Sheena Douglas set and I stamped it with Stazon hoping it would dry fast on this textured paper and it did!  I do like the effect and especially as my little fairy it blowing Santa on his way with a frosty breeze.
The sentiment is from Waltzing Mouse and that was about it really.  I had all sorts of papers and die cuts ready to use, but it felt that less was more on this one.

Our sponsor for this challenge is the DigiStamp Boutique who are giving the winner an awesome 6 digi images!!

The team have made some fab cards too, so check them out here!

I'm entering my card into the following challenges:

Creative Card Crew - Silver and Blue
Bunny Zoe Crafts - Winter
Joanna Sheen Challenge - Cold and Frosty

The Three Ss!

The Three Ss?  That's the theme for our new challenge at Basic Grey Challenges -
Scallops, Swirls and Stitches.
I've used fake stitching before you ask, - it's a border stamp round the outer mat. I'm also a little light on swirls but the S on my sentiment is swirly!!  My Basic Grey papers, Boxer by the way, are also a little swirly don't you think!
The image is a Bombshell stamp, coloured with Copics when I was at Lesley's house earlier in the week.  She's a little minx isn't she (not Lesley, my image!!) and I thought  she went rather well with the sentiment which is by Stampin Up!

The team at BG have made some fabulous cards to inspire you - hope you'll play along with us!!
Please remember that you do need to use at least one Basic Grey product on your creation to qualify for our prize !

As always, our wonderful sponsor,  Simon Says Stamp is offering one lucky winner a fab $25 shopping spree in  the Simon Says Superstore, just think of the goodies you could treat yourself to with that !!
(Please note: This is a voucher code that entitles the winner to a $25 saving off their order in Simon Says Stamp, P+P charges will still apply unless the conditions are met to earn free P+P, please check here if you would like to see these conditions)

I'm off to a Stampin Up party today, so have my Credit Card at the ready!!
