Sketch N Stash Challenge 123 Pearls and Swirls and a sketch of course

Hello - hope you all had a great weekend!  Mine started off well with a great visit to The Craft Barn for a demo day, highlights included watching Chris Dark work her magic with gelatos, Jo Firth Young demoing in her Jofy stamps and Jane Collman making cards with gorgeous Lavinia Stamps!  ( A few more styles and techniques to try out!!)

On to today's challenge  and this is the fab sketch from our back catalogue at Sketch N Stash, with an optional theme of Pearls and Swirls

And as we're being sponsored by the wonderful  A Day for Daisies, I've used a ADFD image that we were lucky enough to be able to choose.

I've used this gorgeous image, Picked Flowers and teamed it up with Lulu and Roy papers from Kaisercraft.

I made the rolled flowers below with a Spellbinders Die and added some frantage and mini bugle beads to the centres.

The swirls were cut with a Die-namics die and the sentiment is from Lili of the Valley.

I love these Kaiser Craft pads as they come with little die cut borders and tags, one of which I've used along the centre mat, along with some organsa ribbon and pearls,  You can also see my miserable attempt at making clouds with a new Clarity Stamps mask.  A great deal more practice required there, methinks!

Passion For Promarkers - Time!

Hello - another DT card from me today and this time it's for Passion For Promarkers and my challenge choice which is Time!  So it can be anything from using a a die cut clock or time in the sentiment, or a die charm or stamp - simples. I've used another fabulous Mo image called Yeehaw which you can find here - don't you just love his world-weary expression!

I've coloured him with a mix of Pro and Flex markers to match my Authentique Free Bird papers. The clock dial is of course the Weathered Clock die from Tim Holtz - one of my favourites and not used enough!.  The sentiment is Lili of the Valley and the bow is cut with a Dienamics die.

Mo's Digital Pencil - Bad Hair Day

Hello, hope you all had a great weekend, despite the wet and windy weather here in the UK! I love this image, Bad Hair Day, from Mo's Digital Pencil.  She was my DT card for Basic Grey Challenges a few weeks ago, but I didn't get to post it here at the time.  Anyway, the theme was Inspired By a Song and I chose Oops I Did it Again by Britney Spears.  Actually thought it would be good for an Oops I forgot your birthday or something similiar.

I coloured her with my usual Pro and Flex Markers, and used Basic Grey Olivia papers.  The letters were cut using a Stampin Up mini punch, the hearts are a Memory Box die and the rest is from stash.

I've got a nice short week at work, this week, hooray!!  I've got a couple of days off and then I'm having a girly weekend away in Cambridge with my M&S girlfriends to help celebrate a special birthday!!

Mo Manning's Mummu's Roses for Renee

I made this card for my MIL's birthday today - Happy Birthday Renee.  I love this image which is called Mummu's Roses from Mo's Digital Pencil and can be found here in Mo's store.

Now, my MIL doesn't look like this,  but she does love an American illustrator/crafter called Tasha Tudor, who isn't so well known over here in the UK but is much more widely known in the US.  Well, that's who Mummu reminds me, not necessarily even in looks but in her look of contentment with the simpler things in life!  Hopefully, my MIL will think that too!

I've made an 8x8 card and coloured with my Flex and Promarkers.  I've added some 'dew drops' to the roses and used loads of punches and dies from Fiskars, Marianne, Die-Namics, Memory Box and Stampin Up.  the papers are from K & CO.

By the way, I'm just going to give a shout our for Tracy at Dies to Die For!  I ordered a couple of new dies and my parcel arrived with loads of lovely die-cuts for me to try and a £1 voucher off my next order as my postage hadn't cost so much - how fabulous is that and what great service!! No relation just a very happy customer!!

Basic Grey Challenges - Your Favourite

Hi there - I'm back with a card for our new Challenge at Basic Grey Challenges where we want to see

Your Favourite - it could be the stamp, dies, papers (as long as they're Basic Grey of course), just let us know what it is.  I have a list as long as my arm, but I think at the moment, right at the top are Die Cuts and I've used a few new ones on my card - the hearts and Crest border are Memory Box, the flower is a Sweet William die from Cheery Lynn and the Corner is a new one from Die-namics.  The Fleur De Lys  frame die is one that has been in my stash for a while! 

My Basic Grey papers are always a firm favourite and here  I've used a mix of Konnichiwa and What's Up  6x6 papers. Of course, the cute image is a Saturated Canary digi image, (love these too!).

 Oh and another favourite item I like to use are goodies by PTI which is my sentiment.
