Penny Black Water Colour with my new Misti!!

Something a  bit different from me today, using my new Misti with one of the Penny Black Bliss stamps and my Tim Holtz distress markers.

I love the way the Misti alllows you to colour the stamp directly and then layer up the colours on your paper.  I also used my water brush a little to blend the colour directly on the paper.  It's then so easy to add your sentiment without fear of messing up your main image!
This was my card for my lovely friend, Lesley of Grenouille Greetings who I stayed with in London a few weeks ago, always a fab stay!!

A 1st birthday card using Baby Fairy Kiki

It was our granddaughter Violet's first birthday recently so I had to make an extra special card for our extra special little one!  I used the gorgeous Baby Fairy Kiki from Mo's Digital Pencil.  I'd already coloured her in with my Promarkers and then decided to put her at  the edge of water using some brilliant new stamps and dies from Marianne Designs.  It was only after I'd masked off Kiki and  stamped up the pond edge that I realised that she was floating in the pond, so had to change the grass into a Lily Pad!  I then added the clouds behind her, again masking her off.  I normally get clouds completely wrong so was really pleased how they turned out.

The dragonfly stamps are part of a stamp set from Marianne which includes the Lily pads and the frogs and dragonfly die cuts from another Marianne set - full deets below the next image.

Marianne Products Used:

Lily Stamp Set - TC0851
Pond Edge stamp Set - TC0835
Dragonfly/Frogs Die set - LR0461

Ribbon Border Die - CR1370

My papers are Lili of the Valley Nitwit papers and the tags and sentiments are from Stampin Up.

Passion for Promarkers new challenge

Hey Blogland, it's time for a new challenge at Passion For Promarkers with a my favourite theme of Girl Power as our theme chosen by our lovely Hazel!  There's nothing I like better than than make a girlie card and with our sponsors being A Day for Daisies, what better than using one of their gorgeous girlie images, Vintage Lip Colour.  It was another dear friend's special birthday recently and the image was just perfect for her.

The frame is cut with a Fiskars 2 in 1 punch that cuts the corners and border- I love them, they make it so easy!  The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley and of course there just had to be some Marianne in there - the flourishes, of which  there are several!

LR0151- Flower Stem and Leaf
LR0414- Swirls and Leaves

The flowers and pearls etc are of course all from stash!

Before you leave don't forget to check out the gorgeous makes of my fabulous teamies here and then come and join in our challenge to be in with a chance of winning a yummy $12 voucher from A Day for Daisies!

I love how this border die from Marianne fitted the pointed border on the card - just perfect

Lacy Border Die  - LR0385
Heart Die  from XL Labels and XZ Labels - CR1353

Hope you have a fantastic St Patrick's Day if you're celebrating!

Lavender Card

Morning!  Today's card was made for my MIL for her 83rd birthday a couple of weeks ago - amazing she is too!!  The image is from a 12 x 12 page but I cannot remember the make, sorry but she is so lovely!  I've teamed her up with some Lili of the Valley papers and then loads of lush Marianne Dies which I've listed below.

Ivy Corners - CR1253
Lavender - LR0157
Foxgloves - LR0457
Large Bow - LR0447
I've also used a Tim Holtz die for the layer under the image, a wooden flourish and some lovely wooden miniature fretwork which I can only bear to use for special makes! I've also added some Vintage Lilac Frantage to the little wooden butterfly, along with Shabby White Frantage around the image and frame but it's not showing up to well in my pics but it does give a nice bit of shimmer!

Cardz4 Galz - Name your Powder - Shabby White and Lavendar Frantage
Crafting With an Attitude - Anything Goes

Cute Card Thursday - For Mothers/Ladies Only

I'm hoping to spend the day in my craft room, lots to make!!
Have a great day whatever you are up to!

Passion for Promarkers It's a Boy!

It's new challenge day today over at PFP HQ and we have a great theme of It's a Boy.  I had a flick through my Lili of the Valley stamps for my card and used this rubber image for a change.  Now I know this little guy's cheeks seem rather red and I was going to try and tone them down but our little Violet's cheeks were the exact same colour last week when she woke up, so I felt I could leave them!!
I used a technique on the baby die cut shown to me by best matey Lesley while I was in Guildford.  That was to  cut the word out and then layer it onto some foam stickers and cut it out again and hey presto you get a neatly raised sentiment.  I've just noticed a bit of white backing paper that I've not quite removed but will do this before I use the card! Full list of Marianne goodies used below:

Bunny Die - COL 1422
Stitched Circle Die - CR1350
Baby Text Die - LR0217
Duck Rattle - LR0307
Papers - Belle Fleur - PK0105
Sasayaki Glitter are our sponsors this week and they giving the lucky winner a digi image  from their range,
Don't forget to take a peek at the makes of my lovely teamies here before you go!

Mo's Pinup

I had the most lovely visit to Guildford last week and caught up with so many friends that I miss so much now I live up north.  In particular, my friend Lesley and her lovely hubby put me up for nearly a week and I got to play in Lesley's Craft Attic.  This is one of the cards I made and, funnily enough, I went Clean and Simple for this make with one of Mo's new images Pinup.

The sentiment was just perfect (from a new Stampin Up set, which Lesley gave me for a belated Christmas pressie, one of many gifts I might add - spoilt!) so kept it all very simple.
It's a lovely sunny day so far here in The Lakes, so I think I'm going to get out in the garden to get it ready for Spring.
Happy Sunday all!

I've coloured her with my Promarkers and then layered her up using a couple of Marianne Dies for the edged circle borders and the fern:

I love the stitched flowers which come from a Sue Wilson Creative Expressions set, and then all that was needed was a couple of Card Candi accents.
