Thank you cards with Stampin Up Stash

Just thought I'd share these thank you cards that I made well over a year ago but haven't blogged yet.  They're all made with Stamping up Stamps, Dies and Sentiments (although the frame band is Sizzix).
I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed using these sets and so I really must dust them off again.

The card below is also Stampin Up but made at a Saleabration launch party.  I must do some more of this style too!
Happy Monday everyone, soon be over!

My first felted card

Regular visitors to my blog may have seen that I started a bit of felting about a year ago, making this scene below using both wet and needle felting techniques.
So, I decided to incoroporate my felting into my card making and this is the result. This was made by needle felting and I am pretty pleased with the result.
It didn't need much embellishing so I just layerd it up on some torn corrogated paper and a few wooden buttons.  The recipient was best matey Lesley, who actually gave me the pack of corrogated papers - what goes around eh! 😊

I'll definitely be making more of this style of card, maybe even more mini- I love the technique!
Another favourite pastime at the minute, is babysitting for our little Violet, which I'm doing this afternoon - lucky Nanny I am!
Enjoy your day!

Passion for Promarkers new challenge - Feminine Fancy

I all but forgot that it was my team to post for this week's PFP challenge - I've made myself a schedule too!  Still, managed to make this card, using a lovely digi image from Lili of The Valley.  Not used one of their images in ages, and I love this little retro cutie.
I took my colour scheme from the October Afternoon papers. and used a double stitch Marianne circle die for the edge round the image.  All Marianne goodies below:

Passe Partout Double Stitch circle die set:  CR1360
Tag:  From Labels XL and Labels XS set - CR1353
Teatime Sentiment and cup: Eline's Winter Stamps - EC0131

And can you see the cute little tea bag charm on the ribbon- it's so sweet!
Our fabulous sponsors this week are Dies to Die for who are offering the lucky winner a stunning £15 voucher to spend in the store!

Our first Dream Team Blog Hop of 2017

Wow, it's scary to think we're hopping for the first time this year, before we know it, it will be December!! We have a great theme of Hearts to kick the year off,  chosen by our lovely Anneke and that is also where you should have started to hop.  Otherwise, hopefully you arrived here from our lovely Hellen's blog, where I'm sure she shared something just fabby with you!
I've chosen gorgeous George for my card - well, Georgie Cartwheel actually! I just wanted to capture the awesome movement in the image, so made the circle so that it would rotate if you push the star tab around.  (Took me ages to work out how to do it before the penny dropped!)  The photos below show the circle at various stages of the cartwheel!
And here he is upside down, I think as Mo intended him!
My papers are from My Minds Eye, and I added the top sentiment  - I think it's from Autumn Leaves but have lost the packaging I've had it so long!

My stitched double heart border is from Marianne - CR1362 - and comes in a set of two borders (the other is a lovely big bracket!).

Right it's time to send you onto our Kaly's blog, where I'm sure she will have a treat in store for you. The full hop order is below in case you get lost along the way!
Don't forget there are two $5 gift vouchers to spend in Mo's shop to be drawn from the participating Dream Team Designers comments so... make sure you pop in and comment on everyone's post for the blog hop to be in with the chance to win!!!

Happy Hopping everyone!

Merged Dwarves and Doggie from Mo's Digital Pencil

I always loved Mo's dwarf images and I was delighted when she completed the set recently.  And she's given them to us in PNG format, so they're very easy to merge as I've done here!  I've used Dwarf 4, Dwarf 6 and Dwarf 7 and also Spot (goblin dog) and love the scene that's been created so easily!  Perfect for a new home card for my son!
It really didn't need much more than the image for my card, so left it really simple apart from the New Home die cut from Marianne Designs - Catalogue no CR1314.

That's all today folks,
Hugs. Juliexx

Mixed Media Birthday Card

It was our lovely Em's 22nd birthday this week and I always try and do something a bit arty for her, her being an artist an all!  So I used this image from a Prima Finnebair set which I thought she would like.  Once stamped, I glossy accented the image and when the gel was dry, I put it into the freezer overnight. This hardened it up nicely so that I could then crack it to get this fab cracked glass effect below - I love this technique!
Before sticking my image down I added some texture using structure paste and various dies and masks.
For the bricks below, I used a Marianne die called Card with a View , which is a window with brick edging - Catalogue no CR1389. The flourishes are also Marianne - Anja's Vintage Swirls - LR0279
This corner detail was made using an Andy Skinner template.

I frantaged the Make Art cut outs and Frame with Aged Marine, and added some copper pearl drops for added detail

Still can't shake feeling sick and dizzy. spent most of yesterday on the couch!
Enjoy your weekend

Passion for Promarkers Add some Bling

I really enjoyed making this card, somehow it matched what was in my head which doesn't happen too often!  It's for our new challenge starting today at Passion for Promakers, with a great theme of Add Some Bling as chosen by our lovely Marie.
I've chosen this lovely summery image from Mo's Digital Pencil, Rowan and Pup and blinged her up with some glittery sea and a few sequins.
The beautiful wavy flourish is a Marianne Die which I cut in two passes through the machine to swap the flourishy bits over so that they'd allow for the mermaid tail!  It's a beautiful die anyway - Anja's Elegant Border (LR0344).  The sentiment is Lili of the Valley.
Bugaboo is our great sponsor this week offering 4 digital images to the lucky winner of the challenge!

It's my baby girl's 22nd birthday day today, Happy Birthday lovely Emily!xx

Abracadabra

I love this image from Mo, Abracadabra, which comes with the great sentiment and I love this new Sparkle and Shine stamp  set from Marianne Designs but not so keen on my card combining the two!!  Perhaps I should have stuck to my normal fussy and fancy style! The Stamp set is perfect for the image as it added the sparkle round the wand and also all the glittery bits around the card.
My full list of Marianne products are below:

Sparkle and Shine Stamp set - KJ1704 (In stock here at Cuddly Buddly!)
Rabbit and Squirrel Die set - CR1340
Basic Stitch Passepartout Rectangle - CR1390

I've really not done much crafting over Christmas, it's been lovely but hectic, and then the weather has been so fantastic up here, we've had some wonderful walks in the winter sun!  Now, I think I've got the dreaded lurgy that everyone has been talking about, so still may struggle for a few days!
Still, could be worse!
Happy New Year everyone!
