I made this card for the recent birthday of my best matey, Lesley (Grenouille Greetings if you'd like to check our her blog).  This image from Mo's Digital Pencil, is called Blanch Fussy Cutting and is perfect for a crafty friend! Even better when used with this sentiment from PTI, although she does come with her own sentiment too! As always, there's lots of Marianne Designs products in use here as per the list below:

Anja's Oval Frame Dies - LR0376
Anja's Roses Corner Die - LR0214
Tassel Fringe Dies - LR0391
Tiny's Love Birds Die - LR0298
Stork Vintage Scissors Die - LR0195
Flowers

It's always a love hate thing making a card for another crafter, but Lesley has told me she loved it, so phew!!
I'm entering my card into the following challenges:

Tuesday Throwdown - Anything Goes
Crafty Cardmakers - Punches and/or Dies

Got my girly home from London for a few days, for some TLC and family time.
The weather here is pants  - look what happened to my pergola the other night!

First 2016 Blog Hop with Mo's Dream Team!

Yayyh it's time to start hopping again over at Mo's Dream Team and we have an even better and bigger hop for you this month now that Mo's two teams have merged!  To kick off 2016 we have a fab theme of Favourites for our hop and your start for the hop is over at my lovely friend's Debby's Blog.  Otherwise you should have hopped over to me from another lovely lady, Gretha's blog. The full order is at the bottom of the post should you need it.

To be honest, I just couldn't choose one favourite, so decided to go with one of my favourites from Mo's most recent releases  -  XOXO
I used a petal shaped card blank from Craftwork cards, and some gorgeous My Mind's Eye Floral papers, which I have then proceeded to cover up - grrrhh!  It takes a lot for me to use some of my papers!!
I used my Promarkers to colour her and a trustee Marianne design die to frame her - CR1331 Basic Rounds set (another favourite, albeit not from Mo!).
The tulle roses were from The Works and the lace and pearls from stash!
Your next stop on the hop is over to  the blog of yet another lovely teamie, Gaynor!  Don't forget to leave a comment on each of the posts as you visit, as always there are two $5 dollar vouchers hidden somewhere along the way, one of which could be yours and you could treat yourself to one or two favourites from Mo!

Happy Hopping!

Feeling Flowery at Passion for Promarkers

We have a great new challenge starting today at a Passion for Promarkers, with a lovely theme of Flower Power which has been chosen by our lovely Marie, so as long as there are flowers somewhere on your creation, (and of course you have used your Promarkers, or similar from the Promarker range!) then you can join in our challenge.
I decided to look through my Lili of the Valley stash, and shockingly, this stamp has been in my craft room for ages, and never seen ink until today! My papers are also LOTV as is the sentiment.
I can barely have a make without any Marianne products on and this card being no exception!  List below:
Trellis Embossing Folder - DF3424
Lace Border die (love this!) - LR0385
Flourish Die - LR0271
Lavender Die -  LR0157
Tassel Die - LR0391 - love these too, and thought they echoed the catkins in the image- I've posted a close up below.
The rest of the flowers and pearls are from stash.
We have two lovely sponsors for this challenge:
Michele R Designs who are offering a lucky participant a 10 Euro voucher to spend

and Letraset who are offering a pack of 6 Neon markers!

Before I go, don't forget to hop over here to the PFP challenge blog and leave some love for my wonderful teamies!

A bit of Knitting!

This is the baby blanket I made for my daughter Holly's baby, and our first grandchild, which is due in just about 6 weeks!  Face book friends may recall that I was asking for advice on the pattern repeat which made the zigzag edges.  Well, after undoing my work several times, I finally took a deep breath and kept going, and the zigzag became more pronounced the more I knitted.  I kept the colours fairly neutral as we don't know if it's a boy or a girl, but exciting times ahead!  Below is a pic of my gorgeous girl at Christmas with the turkey foil - not sure what she's trying to say!!

Mo's Digital Pencil - introducing Lou

This little lovely is a gorgeous new digi image from Mo Manning and is called Lou - click on the link to take you to the image in Mo's Digital Pencil.
The image was crying out to be used with these yummy First Edition papers called It's a Girl and I've also used the following Marianne Products:
Circle Frame - Basic Round - CR1331
Heart/ Ribbon Tags - NEW!! From a wonderful new set of tags/labels that includes an oversize label tag - CR1353
Knitting embossing folder and die set - DF3418

The Baby sentiment is by PTI and the Dear sentiment, I did myself with some alphabet stamps.
Bitterly cold up here at the minute, but the mountains look beautiful covered in snow, and someone even talked about skiers on Skiddaw!
Happy Weekend, folks.

21st Card for My daughter using Paperbabe Stamps

Our beautiful youngest daughter. Emily, turned 21 on Sunday and this is the card I made for her using a mix of stamps and templates from Paperbabe stamps. I bought them ages ago but this is the first time I've plucked up the courage to use them as I felt a bit daunted.  So, I followed a tutorial that I found in a magazine last year that took the fear factor away!  The way the stamps work where you can combine an endless variety of features/hair are fabulous so you'd always end up with a new face/profile! The sentiment stamps are a mix of Tim Holtz and Impression Obsession and the words on her hair are also from Tim Holtz.  Em is studying Art at Camberwell School of Arts and also works at a Gallery, so this all seemed rather apt.
We had a lovely weekend in London celebrating, including Miss Saigon on Saturday night, which was awesome as ever, and a small gathering for family and friends that were in London on Sunday.
Awful thing is I haven't got any decent pics of Em on the day so can't post one here!
I'm entering my card into the current Paperbabe Challenge which is anything goes!

Happy Birthday lovely girl!xxx

winter-sale-2016.jpg

I love the papers too - from a 12x12 pad called Vintage Charm from My Mind's Eye.
The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and that airplane die is a Tatty Teddy  one that was a craft fair bargain!
We've got a busy weekend ahead celebrating our Emily's 21st, so looking forward to it!
Enjoy your weekend!xx
