Mo's Digital Pencil - Bad Hair Day

Hello, hope you all had a great weekend, despite the wet and windy weather here in the UK! I love this image, Bad Hair Day, from Mo's Digital Pencil.  She was my DT card for Basic Grey Challenges a few weeks ago, but I didn't get to post it here at the time.  Anyway, the theme was Inspired By a Song and I chose Oops I Did it Again by Britney Spears.  Actually thought it would be good for an Oops I forgot your birthday or something similiar.

I coloured her with my usual Pro and Flex Markers, and used Basic Grey Olivia papers.  The letters were cut using a Stampin Up mini punch, the hearts are a Memory Box die and the rest is from stash.

I've got a nice short week at work, this week, hooray!!  I've got a couple of days off and then I'm having a girly weekend away in Cambridge with my M&S girlfriends to help celebrate a special birthday!!

Have a good week yourselves!

Are you ready to hop with Mo's Dream Team?

Photo

Yes, it's time to hop with Mo's Dream Team and this month the theme of Paper Piecing has been chosen by our fabulous Mina.  Hopefully you should have arrived here from Kerttu's Blog, who I know will have worked her usual magic, but if you didn't and want to start at the beginning, then hop on back here to Mina's Blog.

For my card, I used an older Mo image called Kimono Girl which you can find here in Mo's store.  Not the easiest of images to paper piece but I quite like the finished look!

My papers are from Stampin Up and in some ways it was a shame to use it as it covers up the beautiful design on her Kimono.
I've also used a few dies/punches from various companies as follows:
Memory Box - Lavish Corner and Tessatina Border
Marianne Dies - the corner die
Martha Stewart - Butterflies
Stampin Up - Mini label punch for the sentiments
The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and stash.

Your next stop on the hop is over to the awesome Debby Y, who is our resident queen of paper piecing so I just know she's going to have something amazing to share with us.
The full order of the hop is shown below - you  can find the links  to their blogs on my sidebar.

Mina, Pops, Jak, Gretha, Kerttu, Julie, Debby.Y, Heidy, Alice, Vili, Alexandra, Anneke,

 Danielle, Kaly

Well, I hope you have fun hopping - and thanks for hopping in!!

Passion for Promarkers Floral Frenzy

We have a new challenge for you today over at Passion For Promarkers- chosen by our lovely Eileen - Floral Frenzy, so you need to use at least 5 flowers - right up my street!
I bought a couple of the Prima Marketing Mixed Media dolls a while ago and this is the first time I've managed to use one.  My colouring's been a bit hit and miss lately and this is the first card that I've made that I'm happy with it, hence the close up of the pleats below!

My papers are from a Kaisercraft sewing themed pad, the flowers are mostly Wild Orchid Crafts, the birthday sentiment is from the new release from Lili of The Valley .

Our sponsor this week is  the Digistamp Boutique who are offering the lucky winner of our challenge, 6 images of their choice.

SNS New Challenge

Hi there  - hope you all had a lovely weekend, I had a lovely day with my sister on Saturday and then went out to lunch yesterday for Father's Day here in the UK. I used our new sketch over at Sketch and Stash to make my card for my Dad - he's a keen bird watcher and likes nothing better than going out taking pics and seeing what he can see.  Obviously better to do this in the summer - and that just happens to be our optional theme at SNS for this challenge - Summer Fun!
My image is called Adventure Guy by the brilliant Mo Manning - you can find a the image here in her on line store.

My papers are Webster's Pages, and the little birdies were a gift from matey, Lesley - I've inked the edges with a little Vintage Photo Distress Ink.  Acutally, the wheel and arrow, which I sort of thought looked like his compass, were also a gift from Lesley- lucky me!

And, as we're being sponsored by the Stamp Fairy for this challenge - £10 voucher up for grabs, folks - I made another card using one of their images, Molly on her Swing.

The checked papers are  from Craftwork cards, and the rest  of the bits are from Stash - isn't she a little cutie!

You  can see the rest of the SNS team's gorgeous cards here.

Basic Grey Challenges - Doilies

We've a new challenge starting today over at Basic Grey Challenges - a nice a simple one to use Doilies on your car (along with Basic Grey products of course!)
Well, it was my 29th Wedding Anniversary last Sunday so this was the card I made for my OH.  We don't really celebrate in a big way, although we may have to next year if we manage to get to 30 years!!
The papers I've used are Basic Grey Porcelain and Capella and I've cut my doily into quarters to use as corner embellies.  The image is from the Indigo Blu Mr Darcy set and this was about the 20th time I stamped it to get a good image!!  The window arch was cut with a Memory Box die, as are the hanging hearts and heart border.
The sentiment and die is from PTI and I made the little cherub with some clay and a silicon mould.

As always at Basic Grey Challenges, we are sponsored by our fabulous regular sponsor - Simon Says Stamp who as always is giving away a lovely $25 voucher to the lucky winner of the challenge.

(Please note: This is a voucher code that entitles the winner to a $25 saving off their order in Simon Says Stamp, P+P charges will still apply unless the conditions are met to earn free P+P, please check here if you would like to see these conditions)

Well that's it from me today.  I'm off up to Norwich to spend the day with one of my lovely sisters, Louise.  Hope you enjoy your weekend - and Happy Father's Day for Sunday!  Oh, and don't forget to check out the awesome makes of my BG teamies here - do come and play along with us!!!

Mo's Baby Fairy Ladybug

Well hello there!  I'm just about getting back into blogging and card making, so hope to visit all my lovely friends and bloggy buddies soon!
For today's card, I've used this gorgeous image from Mo Manning called Baby Fairy Ladybug - you
can find her here at Mo's Digital Pencil.

I was at best matey, Lesley's house when I coloured her in so have used a mix of Copics and Promarkers.  I also made use of Lesley's Martha Stewart Punch around the Page Ladybird set - I even lined the back of the ladybirds with black card to recreate the black spots- Lesley is a stickler for detail and she made me!!
I also found this cute little Ladybird charm in my stash which is perfect for my card.  The papers are Basic Grey Indian Summer and the flowers and other embellies are from stash.  The sentiment is from a Kraftin Kimmie set (which so matched the colours of my card) stamped onto Stampin Up label punch .  I also added some white spots to my card candi with a white gel pen to match the flower petals.

Big love to everyone!
