Mo'd DP2 Challenge - new challenge starting today!

Ahoy there maties!!  I just love this new image called Journey from Mo's Digital Pencil and knew it would team up perfectly with the new releases this month from Marianne Designs. I've also joined in with the new challenge starting today over at DP2 Challenge, where the theme is always Anything Goes.
There's so much lovely detail on the image and it also comes with a great sentiment (I've used an Acid Drops and Whatnots sentiment as it fitted on my scroll!)  The Marianne goodies that I've used are as follows and lots in stock at Crafts U Love here in the UK.

Wave Border die - CR1361
Frame Die - LR0376
Scroll Die -LR0419
Porthole and Wheel Die (Tucked behind the Scroll and I've used it to hint at the lens of the telescope!) - LR0417
Rope die set - LR0418
Anchor - LR0232 (an older die which ties in perfectly!)
Lighthouse - LR0231 (another older die and ditto above!)
Tiny's Fish Net Stamp that I've used to edge the image - TC0839  (and you should see the way one of the dutch DT from Marianne has cut out the netting and used it - incredible patience and skill - look here
Nautical Papers - PK9133

My little whale with it's blowhole spurt is from Memory Box and the little wooden Schooner is from stash (although Marianne do have a die of this in the new range  - LR 0416)
Woo - that was a lot to tell you about, off to clean the kitchen now - blurgh!, Hope you will be inspired and find some time this month to play along with us at DP2 Challenge, remember anything goes and there's a $5 voucher for the lucky winner!

And a few more Crazy Birds and a little dose of Marianne Goodness!

Happy Bank Holiday Monday to all in the UK today - rather wet and miserable here but we've been promised some sun later!  I'll get that anyway when we see our little Violet!
I thought I'd share some more cards using Tim Holtz Crazy Birds dies and stamps and also an array of Marianne dies and Papers.
I felt this little guy had a touch of the Michael Jacksons about him with this hat, and I love him matched with these papers and dies, details below:

Pop-Up Card and Frame set - LR0371 and honestly the easiest pop-up set to use!
Trees - LR0370
Papers - Pretty Paper Bloc Dark Vintage

The letters are from a Cosmo Cricket set that I bought years ago, the label is from Spellbinders and I think the sentiment is from Fiskars but again from the depths of my stash!

The next one uses some steampunk papers from Papermania, and I kept my little birdie very simple as the papers and lettering are quite fussy.
The lettering set are from Marianne and are a letter/die combo and you can either cut them with a round or square die- I haven't used these nearly enough!

Collectibles Letters/Die set - COL 1380

I must admit to being a little unsure about this final one, but hey, I do like the drunken look you get by adding googly eyes.  It's the birthday die/stamp combo which doesn't quite work, maybe the colour.
That's all for now folks, enjoy the rest of your  days

Make it Digi at A Passion For Promarkers

My card today is for the new challenge starting over at A Passion for Promarkers with a theme that is perfect for me - Make It Digi, great choice Marie!!  I tend to be a digi kind of girl, even though I have loads of rubber stamps!  Mind you, it doesn't have to be an image, it could be papers that are your digital choice, lots of lovely ones about too!
My image is called Wagon, and you might recognise it as being a Mo Manning digi, another new one that she has given us crafters recently, lucky us!  (And she comes in a curly haired version too - here.)  I used some My Mind's Eye scraps of paper and a lovely new Marianne Design Stitched Border die - CR1361 - Stitched Cloud and Stitched Waves set/
I am sure that somewhere in my stash I have a Kraftin Kimmie sentiment stamp that says Wanna Play but I couldn't find it so used my precious scrabble tiles instead! I always forget that we are actually supposed to use our stash!
We have a great sponsor this week, appropriately offering 3 digi images, 2 Cute Ink.

I hope you will come and  play along with us this week - if you'd like some more inspiration, check out the fab makes of my teamies here.

A belated birthday card, using Crazy Birds

I'm still loving the Crazy Bird stamps and dies and even more so with this big Woodware sentiment.

I took my colour scheme from these Authentique papers and then added a little wooden moustache that I think I picked up in The Works.

That's all for now folks, enjoy your Sunday.

Blog hopping with Mo's dream team!

Already time for our April blog hop at Mo's Dream Team, the year is going far too quickly!  The theme for this hop is Die Cuts which is right up my street!   I have also used not one but two Mo images, Tall House C from a set of three great house images, and I merged it with Date  to make my new home card!
Hopefully, you should have arrived at my blog from the fabulous Gretha's blog but if  you want to start at the beginning hop on over here to Alice's blog.  If you're ready to hop on, then hop on over here to Gaynor's blog where I'm sure she'll have something fab to share with you.

I used  the following Marianne Dies on my card:

New Home sentiment - CR1314
Tree die - LR0375
Wooden door - LR0312
One more thing before I go, don't forget to leave a comment on each of the blogs you visit as you could be the lucky winner of a $5 voucher to spend at Mo's Digital Pencil.

Shadow Box Frame for our Violet!

I really haven't been doing enough crafting lately but I did make this frame (twice btw Emily!).
I painted the frame white ( great value from Wilko at £6!), papers from stash and the little chipboard letters and dress are from K&CO.  I've had them in my stash for years but couldn't bear to use them as they are so pretty , but of course anything for our  gorgeous new granddaughter!  The elephants are cut with Taylored Expression die, which is so cute, and everything else from stash.
Hoping it's going to be a gorgeous day here so should be doing a walk up a Wainwright!
I shall be huffing and puffing!!

Bingo and Yoga at Passion for Promarkers!

Hi all- was just about to say good morning and I've realised it's already gone 12 noon here in the UK, oops!
My card today is for our new challenge at PFP with a great Bingo board designed by our lovely DT member, Lisa. So you can choose any line, vertical, horizontal or diagonal, and make sure you use those elements on your card and tell us what they are. Feel free to use more ( but not less!)
I've gone with the diagonal from top left to bottom right, Embossing, Image and Die Cuts ( no surprise there!)
Lisa's bingo board
My image is another gorgeous new image from Mo's Digital Pencil called Yoga and lovely to use on all sorts of cards, Yoga Fans, Thinking of You cards, all sorts!
My die cuts are mostly Marianne, and thought the hippy VW camper van from Marianne Designs, suited our Yoga girl, who I've decided has found herself a nice woodland clearing to clear her mind and relax!!
The Marianne dies and products I've used as follows:
VW Camper Van - LR0359
Pearls Embossing folder - DF3424
Tiny's Trees Oak Dies - CR1338
Squirrel and Rabbit Die set - CR1340
 Grass Die - CR1355
The image also comes with a great sentiment, but I didn't leave much room on my card for it, so used this Fiskars one instead which I think suits the image very well!

Our generous sponsor this week is DigiStamp Boutique who are offering one lucky winner a prize of a £10 voucher to spend in their online store.  There are so many gorgeous digis in their store you will be spoilt for choice.

That's all for now, but do come along and join in our challenge at PFP!

Mo's Roses in Vase

I've not managed to make a card all week, which was ok as we had our youngest daughter up to meet our new family member.  Em went home last night though, so I used today to make this card using one Mo's newer images, Roses In Vase. I fancied a bit of vintage/shabby chic too, and this is what I came up with.
My flower colouring close up looks a bit pants, but still kinda like them.  My papers are Vintage Time from Crafts and U, and I've used several lovely new dies from Marianne Designs as follows:

CR1362 - Craftables Stitched Heart border Die
LR0415 - Lace Doiley Die Set
CR1360 - Basics - Passe Partout, Stitched Circles Die Set
LR0271- Flourish (which is just peeking out from behind the flowers!)

I used a Kaiser Craft script die on the vase, border and wooden lady shape.  There's a couple of roses I made with cloud clay, twirled Kraft twists, a bark heart and a few pearls.  I finally added some Cotton Candy Stickles for a bit of sparkle.
That's all for now, I need to give my craft room a good tidy - it is a mess, I cannot wait until my new space is up and running, I'm going to have so much room!  I might add some before photos soon so you can see why I'm so excited!!
Happy Weekend, bloggers!
Hugs, Juliexx

The Engineer - A Mo Manning Image available in rubber at Penny Black

Today's card is for Stamp It Saturday - using a Mo image but from the rubber collection at Penny Black.  This image is a great one for the men in your life and is called Engineer and the rubber version can be found here at Penny Black.  You can also get the digi version here at Mo's Digital Pencil.
I coloured him with my Promarkers and then teamed him up with some Webster's Pages, a Tim Holtz On The Edge die for the cogs and a Tim Holtz ticket.  Luckily, I had coloured him up a few weeks ago, as have been pretty busy cuddling our lovely Violet - she gave the biggest of smiles today to her Grandad!
Now, I don't normally wish the weekend away, but DD number three is arriving Sunday night, by train, but a slightly faster Virgin train than the one above!  She's coming to meet her new niece for the first time, so can't wait for her to be here!
Enjoy your weekends everyone!
