Squirrel - CR1340
Acorns- LR0373

Sympathy Cards

We all hate making those dreaded sympathy cards but I do like to see how other people  approach this saddest of makes for a crafter so hope these may give you a couple of ideas. The first one is using some new floral die/stamp sets from Marianne which I thought would be good for Christmas cards but also look perfect here for a sympathy card, don't you think? They are Eline's Hellibores (Cat no: COL1394, and the flourish is from the Flower Stem set LR0150.

The next card wasn't my idea but a make and take that we followed at a Stampin Up party at best matey, Lesley's, last year, I love the colours and design!

Hold on to Your Hat from Mo's Digital Pencil

I'm not usually one for making many  Halloween cards but have you seen all of the wonderful new images from Mo's Digital Pencil that Mo has been giving us lately?  I just adore so many of them and had to use this one immediately - Hold On To Your Hat!! (Click on the link to take you to the image in Mo's Store.)
I took my colour scheme from some My Mind's Eye Wicked 12 x12 papers that I bought in California a couple of years ago as they were so cheap!!  The funny thing is that Carlisle is now our nearest City here in Cumbria although we didn't know that we were moving then!! The trees and graveyard edges are from Tim Holtz Alterations and the Ghosts, Spider's Web and Stars are from Memory Box.
I'm sure she's going to have a fab time at the dance!!  Happy Days!

I'm entering my card into the following challenges
Die's R Us Challenge-"Ghoul" Friends
Naughty or Nice Challenge - Feeling Witchy
Glitter'N'Sparkle - Halloween
The Crafty Calendar - Halloween
Crafting With Friends - Anything Goes
Simply Create Too - Halloween Colours

Winter is Coming! Well, our winter themed blog hop on Mo's Dream Team is!

Ha, I really wanted to say "you know nothing Jon Snow" after Winter is Coming (Game of Thrones reference for those who don't follow it!), and Winter is here on Mo's Dream Team Blog Hop as this is the theme chosen by our fabulous Gretha for this month's hop - and also your starting point.
I've used this adorable new image from Mo called Snowsuit which can be found here in Mo's Digital Pencil
I  coloured her with my Promarkers, to match my luvverly Marianne papers from the Scandinavian Winter pad. Of course I then had to use some luvverly new Marianne Design die cuts and stamps as follows:
Sentiment Stamp - Eline's Handlettering Christmas
SnowFlake Crescent - CR1345
Flowers - Eline's Hellebora's Die and Stamp set - COL1394
Mini Diamond Dazzlers
As you can see, I then went a bit mad with Aged Gold and Shabby White Frantage!
Your next stop on the hop is over to my lovely  matey, Debby's blog with a fab make to share with you.  And, don't forget to leave a comment on each of the team's blog as you could win a $5 dollar voucher to spend in Mo's Store.

Doodle Challenge Alert at Passion for Promarkers, with Marianne goodies!!

New challenge day at PFP HQ with a great theme of Doodles as chosen by the lovely Anna!
I decided  only to use Marianne Products for my card (apart from my trusty Promarkers of course!) - full list with catalogue numbers below:
Reindeer - LR0179
Trees - CR1337
House - COL1326
Stamp inc sentiment - CS0906
Circle Dies - CR1331
Papers - Nordic Winter - PK9128
The glitter paper used to frame the circle and the  snow on the house is also from Marianne Designs!
Not to sure about my doodling but I love how the font on the sentiment (which comes with the stamp) also looks like doodling- love the teeny bow accents.
As always, my teamies at PFP have made some awesome cards to share with you, so take a peek here. Then come and join in our challenge as you could win  two  yummy digi images from Polkadoodles

Love Tim Holtz Crazy Birds!

I had to make two male cards recently for a nephew and nephew-in-law and as I was staying at best matey Lesley's house for a week, I made them there, without lots of my own stash but with lots of hers!!  I also made these pre the dies and accessory stamps so these were a  little simpler!
The roses, branches and flourishes are all Marianne Designs as follows, as are the circle accents.

Rolled Rose flower: - LR0162
Flourish - from Lavender set - LR0157
Branch from Branch and Flower 1 - LR0256

Look at that little face - what a cutie!!

The Big Guy's Tractor and Farmyard Background merger!

This the card I made for my husband's birthday the other week using two of Mo's Digital Pencil images merged together  Big Guy's Tractor and Farmyard Background- a match made in heaven!

We have a small meadow in our new Lake District home that came complete with a sit-on mower (red) and hence my card and colour choices!

We also have lambs/sheep year round in the field next to us hence my lamb die cut!  There's actually rather a mean looking ram in there at the minute with about a dozen ewes (lucky boy!!). My papers are from a Recollections 12x12 pad and then I've used loads of new Marianne Dies as below:

Acorn with Leaf Die - Catalogue No: LR0373
Garden Rake Die - Catalogue No: LR0374
Tiny's Tree and Leaf Die Set - Catalogue No: LR0375
Autumn Leaves Punch Die set - Catalogue No: CR1336
Little Lamb Die - Catalogue No: LR0358
Boots Die - Catalogue No: LR0316

Looks like autumn is well and truly here, drizzling all day although the autumn russets and golds are beautiful!
Thanks for stopping by!

Crazy Bird dies without the Crazy Birds

This was a really quick card, with an idea that I've been wanting to try out for ages, and the new Bird Crazy Accessory dies meant I could do just that!!  The hat, glasses and bow tie are from the set, while the moustache is a Memory Box Die and the the googly eyes were a gift from best matey, Lesley.
The papers are from the Docrafts Chronicles set and the sentiment is from PaperTrey Ink.
A very simple but effective card for those dreaded male makes don't you think!

I've picked the wonderful new image, Cupcake Mouse from Mo's Digital Pencil, for my card, such a happy chappy!!  My patchwork was made with a Die-Versions hexagonal die set, the papers are from First Edition, and the sentiment is Stampin Up!!

New Home card

A non-colouring card from me today, which is quite nice sometimes and a bit quicker too!!
My daughter and her partner, Harry, have just moved in together, getting ready for their special delivery next March!!  So this is the card  I made as they start their new lives together!!  So happy for them and proud too of how they've sorted out their fab new home.
I love this house set from Leabilities - you get three different houses, a mountain peak  and a rolling hills die which I've used in the frame.
The sentiment and heart die cuts are both from Marianne designs as follows:
New Home Die - CR1314
Hearts Punch Die - CR1322
And the flowers were a bargain at a Craft Cupboard Clearout event I went to last weekend!  Only one card making stall, but boy were there some goodies to buy!!

It's the hubster's birthday tomorrow, hopefully the weather will be kind as we're planning a walk and lunch out somewhere!

September Blog Hop with Mo's Dream Team - Anything But a Card!!

Yep, it's September, people, and the third Thursday in the month, which not only means that it's time for our monthly blog hop over on Mo's Dream Team, but also that Christmas is-a-coming!!   Kaly's blog is the beginning of the hop, and also  from where you should  have hopped to me!  I know that Kaly would have had something quite wonderful to share with you!

As our theme is Anything But a Card, I've gone with a little Christmas decoration using one of Mo's gorgeous Elf images from the dual image set, North Pole Employees - a firm favourite of mine for Christmas makes!
I cut some rosettes with a Tim Holtz Alteration Strip die, punched some holes in the bottom layer to dangle some jingle bells from and used an old cotton reel with some Baker's twine to make the base of my tree.  My little employee then topped my tree off!  Simples.  I did cut my rosettes slightly shorter each time (from Stampin Up Christmassy papers) to get cone shape for my tree.
I did struggle to get good pictures (probably shouldn't have left it until 10:00 at night to take them!!) You might just be able to make out the glitter on his fur trim and bauble on his hat. Otherwise, I coloured him with my Promarkers and a few Flexmarkers.

As you can see in this pic, I tried to stage it a bit with some pine cones but it proved too difficult to get a really good picture.  It's a liitle wonky too but I kinda like that!
Right, now it's time for me to send you on to the blog of my lovely  matey, Debby.  Don't forget to leave a comment on each post as you could be the lucky winner of a $5 dollar voucher to spend in Mo's Digital Pencil!
Happy Hopping!!

Passion for Promarkers and Mo's Digital Pencil

White Rabbits everyone - 1st September -eeeekkk!  Where has the summer gone?  The hubster and I did a Wainwright Walk yesterday up Burn Bank at the back of Loweswater here in the Lake District.  It was spectacular as the weather was good and they were paragliding off the top of the fell.  However, I was absolutely shattered, just had no energy at all.  Couple of pictures to share below.

I think I should have chosen to get a boat out on the lake rather than walking up the fell just like this chappy below.  This was for my son's birthday last week who loves fishing up here and funnily enough caught a couple of trout today so that's tea sorted tomorrow!
Forms of travel or transport are our theme for this week's challenge at Passion for Promarkers chosen by our lovely Marie!  The image is called Fishing (funnily enough) and is from Mo's Digital Pencil and can be found here in Mo's online store.
I love the little haversack button and fishes that I managed to find in my stash!
My papers are from Webster's pages and the Happy Days sentiment is from Lili of the Valley.
The gone fishing sign is from a really ancient Flipping Men set that I bought years ago because it was so cheap!!
Well that's all from me folks apart from just to say that our sponsors are the fabulous Letraset with a 12 pack of Promarkers as the prize!

Oh and don't forget to check out the fab makes of my PFP teamies here!
Tight Lines!!
