Passion for Promarkers Photo Inspiration Challenge

It's Tuesday which must mean it's new challenge day over at Passion for Promarkers and we have a great photo challenge which is just yummy, don't you think!  You can take your inspiration from the whole image, eg cupcakes, cooking, or just the colours or one colour or even the spots!!  I've gone with the colours and spots!
Image may contain: flower and food

It's another Valentine's image from Mo but this time one of her new images - and yup, you've guessed it, I love her!!  She's called My Valentine Fairy and can be found here in Mo's store,

I've gone a bit old school with my stash, picking out a  corner punch that is donkeys' years old and also the oval die from Marianne which is an oldie but a goldie!  And, I managed to use the smallest die in the set - I think we often forget about the little dies in sets so I just love these (the little loopy dies either side of the image!).

Marianne Products used

Petra's Ovals Dies- LR0235
Curved Ribbon Border Die - CR1370

Our fabulous sponsor this week is Lacey Sunshine who are offering the lucky winner 3 digi images.
You can see the rest of my teamies' makes here.

Marianne Designs January release products

Hello folks - it's my turn to hop on the Marianne Inspiration blog and share my card using mostly some of the gorgeous new Marianne goodies that are in the January 18 release.

It's rather appropriate as I have spent the last few days sorting out my Marianne stuff and cataloguing it so I know what I have!  This includes searching through the internet trying to determine which sets all the loose pieces of design paper I have come from!  I have also purchased some clear insert folders and labeled them with the name and catalogue number of the papers so I can quickly find the details for future posts!!  Sad or what -  hubby certainly thinks so -  but I have enjoyed it and it was long overdue!!
I love these new floral images from the decoupage range, such soft, pretty colours and drawings and so useful when you don't do colouring or don't have time!!

The hydrangea layering stamps (below) were also made for these images!!

For my little sentiment, I carefully inked just the Love and Kisses from a longer sentiment from the new Wedding Sentiments set - always nice to  use your stash outside of the expected.

And here is a complete list of all the Marianne items I used.  I particularly love the large lace panel in the new release!

Lace panel – LR0507 - NEW
Die from Deluxe Design Folder Set – DF3443 - NEW
Partial Sentiment from Wedding Sentiments set – CS0999 -NEW
Circular Frame and Bow Die – CR1414
Tiny’s Layering Hydrangea Stamps – TC0854
Lavender Die – LR0157
Paper – Sweet Romance PK9153 - NEW
Decoupage – MB0170 - NEW

Today, I intend to carry on crafting and make something!

Enjoy your day!

Pretty Purse Mo Manning and Marianne - my favourite Ms!!!! (Apart from my Em!)

This is such a gorgeous image from Mo and now that Christmas is over I've found some time to make a proper girly card with her - she's called Pretty Purse and can be found here in Mo's store. I've also just received my yummy January goodies from Marianne Designs so have used lots of those too.
Now, as part of my DT pack from Marianne, I received a sheet of this fabulous Roses paper from their Sweet Romance pack - so I only had one sheet!  I normally tend to stick things down as I go along and sometimes regret it as  it prevents me from doing something else!  So, this time, I thought, don't stick it down yet, don't stick it down yet and I didn't and placed my centre panel using this single sheet of rose  to one side.  Carrying on I felt the insides of the side panels needed matting, so hunted amongst the mess on my workspace to find a piece of the pink card I was using for matting.  Duly found it and cut one piece with the wavy edge ........and then turned it over to find it was the piece of card with my ONE piece of roses paper!!  Now if I'd stuck it down as I usually do........!
So I had to use ribbon and the wavy die from the set I was using to cover up!
Anyway, here is a full list of the Marianne goodies I used, including this fabulous and new rose bouquet die which I just love!

Marianne Products used:

Sweet Romance Papers - PK9153 (new)
Anja's Ornamental Border Design Folder/Die combo - DF3443 (new)
Frame Die - LR0371
Mirror Die - LR0321
Rose Boquet Die  LR0505 (new)

The sentiment is PTI and cut with a Stampin Up punch.

I'm entering my card into the following challenges:

As You Like It Challenge - Anything Goes
Cute Card Thursday - Something new (Dies, Papers, Image)
Seize The Birthday  - Anything Goes (with Birthdays!)
Simon Says Wednesdays - Patterned Paper (Yes, my one piece!!)

Happy Birthday to our Beautiful Em!

It's our gorgeous Em's 23rd birthday today and as she is an artist, I always feel I have to up my game and do something a bit arty for her card!
Lucky for me that Marianne Designs have just brought out some mixed media products  including some splodgy stamps (technical term!) and some stencils so I mixed them up with some older stamps and created this.
The image is a beautiful stamp from Character Construction - I think I've found a new obsession!- and perfect for mixed media projects.

For the background I used one of Marianne's new stencils which I felt looked a little like a tangle of trees in a forest and sponged Distress Oxide ink through. I then splodged some DO inks with some dotty stamps to make it look like a carpet of flowers.  I then gave the panel a mist of water so that the DOs could do their magic!

For the dress and butterflies, I used a variety of splodgy stamps including two of their new ones (deets below), some older sets and I used their firework burst stamps to make them look like flowers.
I stamped the character image  and butterflies onto the panel and cut out the dress, stamped her face and arms and coloured them with Promarkers. I then stamped the images onto the background panel and layered up the separate parts to complete the image.  Similar with the butterflies.

Here is the full list of Marianne Design Products:

Stencil - PS8003 (NEW!)
Texture Stamps - MM1615/1616 (NEW!)
Butterfly stamp set - CS0927
Fireworks stamp set - TC0845
Eline's Brush stamp set  - EC0162
Background stamps - CS0977
Brush die - COL1375 (actually an old nib pen for ink but looks like a brush!)

The Art and sentiment dies are from Visible Image.

Can't sign off without sharing a pic of our gorgeous girl at Christmas!!

Happy Birthday Pickle!!

I'm entering my card into the following challenges:

Everybody Art - Latest Purchase - Character Construction stamp and Marianne Mixed Media
Crafting From the Heart - Anything Goes
Use Your Stuff - Something New - Marianne  and Character Construction stamp
Two Sisters on the Blog  - Something Vintage
House of Cards - Mixed Media
Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Something New- Character Construction and Marianne Stamps

Happy Birthday to You!!

I just love the new piano die from Marianne Designs - it makes such a statement card!  I've teamed it with Marianne papers and also one of their layering stamps - a rose of course!  ( I used Stamping up ink pads).
It's great  because it's dimensional too and you can have the lid of the piano raised held in place by a proper lid- holder upper (technical musical term!).
I also used a Memory Box musical score die and the sentiment is from an old stamp which has a pen nib as part of the design but I just didn't stamp that bit - perfect for a muscial themed card!!

The full list of Marianne Products used is below:

Grand Piano die - LR0501
Tiny's Layering Roses Stamp - TC0855
Nostalgia Paper  Bloc - PK9074

It's supposed to be a lovely clear day here in the Lakes so hubby and I are hoping to a little fell walking - hope it's not too cold!!

Paperbabe Angels

Still a little in Christmas mode - these are a few pics of the angels that I made before Christmas using Paperbabe Stamps and MDF Substrates.  I so enjoyed making them and you can have all sorts of different combos for the hair/wings/clothing depending on the stamp choices you make and the substrate base you use.  It takes a little while to understand the bits you need to mask when stamping the mdf but Kim does a brilliant tutorial here to help you.
I coloured them with Prismas and Polychromos and then added frantage for the stars and glitter, and also on the halos!

Just a few pics of the various colours I made them in.

I then sprayed them with acrylic varnish to seal them.

I am quickly going to add them into the latest Paperbabe challenge which is Anything Goes!  And don't forget that the stamps don't have to be used on the substrates - they can be used to make cards or 2D projects!!

All our decorations are down now and safely stored away in the attic!  However, I'm not putting my christmas craft things away as I'm determined to make at least one Christmas card each week this year and also start on my Christmas projects much earlier!!

Make it Digital - Passion for Promarkers new year challenge

Well, after our month long Christmas challenge at Passion for Promarkers we have a new challenge starting today with a favourite theme of mine - use digital stamps  or sentiments.  Love Digital stamps!!  Love Mo Manning Digital Stamps even more and this is her newest!!  He's called Christmased and comes separately from the present and packaging as well as premerged!
I've used him as a congratulations card for a dear friend who has just become a Grandmother - on Christmas Eve - so the perfect Christmas present really!  The papers are Prima, the sentiment is from an Altnew set and the big luscious bow is from Marianne Designs - LR0447 is the catalogue number.

Check out the makes of my teamies here and then come and join in the challenge, we'd love to see you!  And don't forget to check out the PFP challenge blog later to see the winners of the bumper load of prizes we had for our Christmas challenge.

Hugs, Julie
