Berry Sweet!

All the berries at the side of my house reminded me that it was the perfect time of the year to colour up this little lovely from Mo's Digital Pencil - Berry Fairy Amai. What wasn't quite the thing to do though was take some arty photos with the berries at the front of the card- as said card could quite easily topple over on to artfully arranged berries and leave a large purple berry stain on the card!!  Luckily, I was able to salvage the card with a berry made of pearls - what do you think?!!

I've actually used some scraps of old paper for my card just using a couple of Marianne dies to frame the  image, as below:

Anja's Squares Frame Dies - LR0242
Lace Eyelet Border Die - LR0395

The berry sweet sentiment is from Paper Trey Ink and the glass dew drops and beads from stash.

The sun actually showed it's face here today and tomorrow looks good too, so hope to get in the garden for a bit.  And it's Friday, yayyyhh!!

Happy Birthday

It was my son's 27th birthday over the weekend - eek and this is the card I made for him.  It's also new challenge day at Passion For Promarkers with a theme of Make It Digital so I combined the two!
Now I love a good digital image and this one is no exception.  It's from Just Inklined and a Staffie which I wanted as Harry has a gorgeous Staffie called Coco.  I knew I could get an image somewhere and immediately which is the beauty of digital shopping!
I tried to colour her as closely as possible to Coco's real-life colours using the picture below- isn't she lovely, so soppy and a real softie.
My papers are from a My Mind's Eye pad called Handsome - perfect for both my Son and Coco (even if she is a girl!).
I also used a Marianne frame die - LR0376, and the film strip from this set - COL1390.  (because Harry is a fantastic photographer!)
Now we have a great sponsor today, Di's Digi Creations who are offering the lucky winner a $12 voucher to spend on their digi images!!

Oh and hop on over here to see the rest of my teamies' fab makes!

Igloos!

Another Christmas Card to share with you tonight - using Igloo from Mo's Digital Pencil - so cute!!  The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley - I really wanted one that read From Our House to Yours but in a Craft Room bursting at the seams with 'stuff'  I couldn't find one!!
And of course, the requisite list of Marianne loveliness!  I love the little  die cut Igloo and Mountain range and I do love using the Driftwood papers to cut out snowy images such as the trees and mountains.

Boat scene with Marianne products

We went to see Dunkirk this afternoon, which is just amazing from start to finish and I would thoroughly recommend it!  Anyway, it reminded me that I had yet to blog another boating themed card that I made using Marianne products.

This one was actually very quick to make - no colouring but using  a brushstroke mixed media stamp  and a Sailboat Die- details below:

Sailboat Die - LR0473
Eline's Brush Strokes Stamp Set - EC0162

Right, watching Game of Thrones now so must dash!

Pretty Pastels for Passion for Promarkers

It's new challenge day today at Passion for Promarkers HQ  and we have a great colour theme this week of Pretty Pastels as chosen by our lovely Lisa!
I've chosen to use this gorgeous new image from Mo's Digital Pencil called Little Liar and he seemed rather perfect to go with a sentiment questioning someone's age!!

I cut him out with the Basic Distressed square die from Marianne Designs  (CR1375) and then decided to distress the rest of  my papers which, incidentally, are by Basic Grey. The little clock is also from Marianne  (CR1234) as are the enamel stars and heart embellies.

Our sponsors this week are Little Miss Muffet stamps with a voucher worth $6 up for grabs.

I hope you can find some time to join in the challenge- take a peek here at PFP if you'd like some more inspiration.

Wedding card

I can't believe that it is already over a week since my niece Lily got married.  It was a fab day and the weather was so kind!  There's a picture of the Happy Couple below.

I started  off wanting to use this sentiment from Inkylicious and it fit perfectly into this frame on a new die from Marianne Designs- Anja's Marquee set - LR0483.  The papers are also Marianne and I took my colour scheme from these - they're so gorgeous!  Anyway, full list of Marianne products below the next picture.

Anja’s Marquee Die set _ LR0483
Anja’s Roses Corner Die – LR0214
Anja’s Roses Border – LR0212

Wedding Couple – LR0427
Leaf Flourish – LR0120
Romantic Vintage Papers – PK9093

I inked through all the dies whilst the die cuts were still in place as it does add a lovely vintage feel.

I coloured the silk lace with my promarkers to match the colour of the card and then added a few pearls and sparkles and I was done.

And below are the new Mr and Mrs Ogilvie!  Congratulations to a fabulous couple!

Marianne card on the Design Team Blog

I loved making this card for the Marianne Design Team Blog this week - you can see it here and other gorgeous cards made with yummy Marianne goodies.

My starting point was this awesome new frame die from Marianne -
Anja's Marquee - it makes such a statement don't you think.

I love this layering Roses stamp set too and the stamping platforms around now make it so easy to get the layering right! The papers are Marianne as is the sentiment from the Dreams stamp set - it really is a great addition to my sentiment collection.  Anyway, full list and details of Marianne products used are below. Oh and I coloured the silk lace with my Promarkers to match the colour scheme of my card.

Beehive Happy Birthday

Morning - just popping in quickly to share the card I made for my daughter's boyfriend, Jack.  Amongst his many talents - including being a great artist, lino cutter, and having great taste in girls (!) , he's also a beekeeper - so this Woodware stamp and matching sentiment was perfect.
I got my water colour pencils out for this one and enjoyed the change of medium - must do more!! And I love the little sentiment that comes with the stamp set.  I also used the Marianne Design Chicken Wire die from the Craftables range (CR1401) as it can just as easily be a  honeycomb, right! The little photocorner enamels are also Marianne Designs.

Right must push on, housework and more gardening to do today before the wider family arrive Friday night!

Passion for Promarkers Fun in the Sun

Woohoo -it's summer, despite the rain here!!  It's my turn to set the theme for our new challenge starting at Passion for Promarkers this week and I rather optimistically chose Fun in the Sun!! Still we can dream!  I've used two images from Mo's Digital Pencil and then  merged them into this little scene - Daniella here with her melting ice cream and Beach Elements 1 here for the background.

I absolutely love the Cote D'Azur papers from Marianne designs and it was complete luck that the horizon from the beach stamp tied in with the horizon on the paper!  Of course I should say that I planned it that way but oh well!  I've also used lots of other Marianne Design goodies - full list below:

Cote D'Azur papers - PK9146
Sea Shells Die - CR1363
Flourish Label Die - LR0241
Latte Border Die - LR0407.
Enamel Dots and Heart
The little scrap of orange paper behind the image is also Marianne but as it was a scrap I don't know where from!!

Our sponsor for this challenge is Sasayaki Glitter who are offering the lucky winner a digi image of their choice.
