Winifred for New Home card!

You may or may not know that our move is finally going ahead and we move next week!  So much to do so little time!  I may be off air for a while as we're moving 325 miles away and taking over a business!  Still, had time to make this card for our vendors as they move to their new home.  I got the Memory Box house dies in the sale at Crafts U  Love and thought Winifred from Mo's Digital Pencil would make the perfect addition to my scene.
I love this little stamp/die combo from Marianne for the sentiment - Catalogue no COL 1334.
My papers are also Marianne from the Pretty Blocs Nostalgia pad.  A few more Marianne dies - the tree branch (LR0256) and the Anja Roses Corner (LR0214).

It's quite interesting to see what I can produce out of very limited supplies now that my craft room is all but packed up- I forgot to leave out any ribbon for a start!
Hope you've all had a wonderful Christmas, and wishing you all a happy and healthy 2015.

Sketch and Stash and my final Christmas card!

This should be my last Christmas card of the year and it's for our final challenge of the year at Sketch N Stash.  Our sketch for this fortnight's challenge is below and I've flipped and rotated it to suit my image better!
The fab digi  image is from our sponsor this month, Delicious Doodles and it's called  On A Winter's Day.  I printed it out on watercolour paper and coloured it with my distress markers.
We're going to be living in a very small hamlet in the new year and this rather reminded me of the feel of it!! I've added some Marianne dies including the poinsettia die. the top flourish and the Love die- I quite like how the little robin is sited in the middle of the'O' - a happy accident!  I've then highlighted with lots of stickles to capture that cold, crisp, snowy feeling!
As mentioned we're being sponsored by Delicious Doodles and also Ooh La La creations!

sponsor - Ooh La La

Prize - Any CD of winners choice

&

Sponsor - Delicious Doodles

Prize -  4 images

Hope you'll join us for our final challenge of the year - oh and don't forget to leave some love for my fab teamies - check out their cards here!
Happy Christmas Week Everyone!!

Our last Blog Hop of the year at Mo's Dream Team

Yes, it's the third Thursday of the month so it's time to hop with us on Mo's Dream Team where we have a theme of Christmas.  This also happens to be my last Christmas make for this year and maybe for a few weeks.  We exchanged on our house  today and move early in the new year!  It's been a long, old struggle  but we're there!!
Back to today's hop and hopefully you should have arrived here from the wonderful Gretha's blog, but if you want to start at the very beginning, hop back to the blog of our lovely hostess with the mostest, Anneke , who has chosen our Christmas theme.

I've used one of Mo's very recent releases Beary Merry Christmas for my card.
I'm actually quite pleased with how my card turned out seeing as my craft stash is all packed away apart from a few essentials!!
The Believe Die is by Frantic Stampers, while the little jingle bells and holly leaves are a Marianne set - catalogue number COL1363 and are in stock at MaddyLisa Crafts at the minute!  The leaf flourishes are also By Marianne design - LR0245 and again are in stock MaddyLisa. I have also used a sheet of paper from a Marianne Pretty Paper Bloc set called Nostalgia - Catalogue number PK 9074  (and available as above).
Now your next stop on the hop is over at our lovely Debby's but if you want the full order it's below.  And don't forget that you could win a $5 dollar voucher to spend in Mo's store so make sure you leave a comment on each of the Dream Team blogs that you visit.

Happy Hopping!
Hugs, Juliexx

Birthday card for my little sis!

A bit of a break from Christmas cards - this was for my lovely little sis  whose birthday was in November.  I concentrated my card around the sentiment and the papers hence no coloured images.
The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley and everything else is from Marianne designs.  These beautiful papers are from the  Romantic Vintage Pretty Paper Bloc (Catalogue number - PK 9093) - I love this unicorn page!
The dies I used are also all Marianne Designs as follows:
Circle die with stitched flowers and leaves - CR1248
Flowers and leaves from the Square version of the circle - CR1249
Leaf Frond - LR0151.
I know that some of these items (maybe not the papers) are in stock at MaddyLisa Crafts here in the UK, and always at a really great price here :).
Resigned to the fact that we will probably not move before Christmas but hey ho, there are worse things that could happen!

Passion for Promarkers Mega Christmas Challenge!!

Hi Folks - today's card is for our special month long Mega Christmas challenge on a Passion For Promarkers ending on 6th January 2015!  This allows a bit of a breather to finish getting ready for the big day!!  We're struggling to get ready here as we still haven't exchanged contracts on our house and it's beginning to look a lot like it's not going to happen before the 25th!  Trying to be philosophical about it all though, just haven't got a tree, or much in the way of decorations up - just rooms full of boxes!!
Our theme for the Mega Christmas challenge is “bingo”.  You are welcome to make Christmas cards but as the challenge will still be running after the ‘BIG’ day you can of course make any type of creation as long as you use the bingo board.  As time is precious for our DT at this time of year we are limiting the number of entries you can make to just 3 for this month long challenge.  Please remember to be eligible for our prizes you must use your promarkers, flex markers, tria markers, metallic or aqua markers.
Here is the bingo board you must use for your creations (you can use any line horizontal, vertical or diagonal).  Please tell us which line you have used in your post:
Bingo2
For my card, I chosen the middle line - Die Cuts, Free and Glitter - love my die cuts and glitter.  As you can see, I've made a pop-up box card with this fabulous Mo Manning Image, Season's Greetings.  I thought the image would be brilliant on this pop-card but have to confess that I can't remember if I have already seen this somewhere in blogland!  I have scoured the internet trying to find it so that I could give credit for the idea but couldn't find it - maybe I dreamt it!!
I went to best matey's Lesley's house yesterday, who helped me through the trials and tribulations of making this design (she had a template and previous experience!).
You can see all my die-cuts below, including my favourite Winter die cut from Noor Designs-UK, an Impression Obsession sledder cut in glitter paper, as was my Marianne tree on the left side of my box. There's also a couple of Craftwork Cards pre-cut die shapes and some felt snowflakes.
My papers are mostly Basic Grey Nordic Winter.

That's enough about my card but next is a list of all our wonderful sponsors and prizes for this mega challenge.

Jack Frost Brrrrrrh!

Hi everyone - well Jack Frost does seem to have arrived now here in London - we've had some lovely, crisp and frosty days! My card today is for our new challenge starting today over at Sketch N Stash.   I love this non-cutesy image from Rick St Dennis (one of this fortnight's sponsor) - he's called Jack Frost of course and can be found here in Rick's store. The sketch for our new challenge is below.

I've kept the colours fairly frosty using blues and greys.  I actually did a version with loads of black distress stickles and promptly tore it up!
I've had my dies out, as your can see, mostly Memory Box and a couple of Crafts Too for the snowflakes, and also the snowflake edge die from Noor Designs. The snow sentiment is a die and stamp combo from PaperTrey Ink.

We have two fabulous sponsors for this challenge, as below:

Sponsor 1 - Rick St Dennis

Prize - 2 images or 25% discount voucher

Sponsor 2 - Live and Love Crafts
Prize
Don't forget to check out the wonderful  cards of my SNS teamies here, and then, please, please come and play along with us!!

Stampin Up Robins

Several years ago now I was a member of a Stampin Up Stampers 10 group which met regularly but as I lived too far away, I couldn't go to the classes but got the card pieces each week to make up the card in question!!  I've never done anything with the card kits so decided to hunt them out to use some of the papers etc to make some Christmas cards.  Joanne the SU demonstrator made these gorgeous robins out of round punches and petal punches - I've added the link here for you to see how easy they are to make.   It doesn't look like Joanne's blog is active anymore but you can still get lots of amazing ideas for cards, especially flowers on her blog. You'll see that I've added my own twist, with this Marianne branch die instead of a flourish stamp for my robins to perch on.  I've also done a few variations below just to ring the changes.

All the stash used is from Stampin Up including the card stock and design papers. The only non SU stash is the Marianne branch from the Tiny's Pine Cone set (catalogue no: LR0286) which you can find here at MaddyLisa Crafts at the minute, the Papertrey Ink sentiment and the tag which is cut with a Magnolia die.
Have a lovely weekend everyone!
Hugs, Juliexx
