Whiff of Joy - White on White

Well look at this, two Christmas cards in a row - I'm on  a roll!! This is for our next challenge at Whiff of Joy Challenges where the theme of White on White suits Christmas cards perfectly! I've coloured up this little lovely from last year's Christmas Collection and then layered her up on some icicle and snow  embossed paper. There's also a Memory Box Frosty border in there and a Martha Stewart Pine Needle punch round the edge.
I followed the sketch over at Sketch Saturday which was a nice clean one - nice to enter into a challenge too, I never seem to have the time to do this!
In the pic above you can just make out the Crystal Glamour Dust that I added to the tinsel in her hair and her belt.  I also added some Viva Decor pearl drops and Glamour Dust round the image.
The sentiment is also from the Whiff of Joy  Christmas set and the diamante drops and ribbon are from stash.
This fortnight, our fabulous sponsor is  Whiff of Joy themselves and there is a fabby 15% off for the lucky winner!

Check out the awesome creations by the WOJ girlies here - they're beautiful!  I do hope that you'll be inspired to play along!

I've got this week off work and it's been lovely so far. Son's birthday on Monday, my youngest home from a holiday with a friend and family yesterday, and today I'm off for a day of crafting with best matey, Lesley.  Thursday we're off to the Olympic Park for the day, and Friday has some retail therapy ear-marked in!

SNS and my first Xmas card for 2012!

Hello folks, sorry, I feel as if I've been MIA for a while, just not felt up to blogging this last week or so.  I have a week off work now though, so hopefully, I'll get my batteries recharged!  It's also my boy's 22nd birthday today so Happy Birthday, Boyo - love you loads!  May go out to lunch today to celebrate.
Right on to my card, which is for the new challenge at Sketch N Stash following this fab sketch by our fabby Daniele.
We also have a fabulous new sponsor at SNS this time - Crafty Individuals!  How fab is that and there are two gorgeous stamp sets up for grabs!

As I said earlier, this is my first Christmas card this year- eek, I'm about two months behind!!  I think I'm going to have to have a session of making lots of clean and simple ones!
For this card, I've used this super cute image from Mo Manning, Christmas Puppy - isn't he a cutie!!

The papers are from a Trimcraft set that I've had an age and also from a Memory Box christmas set.  The little sentiment is from a LOTV set that I bought last year - in fact there's very little new on here, I suppose the image!  So nice though when you actually use some of your older goodies!

Check out the rest of the SNS DT cards here - they're gorgeous!  Have a fab day whatever you're doing!!

PFP - Funky Hair!!

Yep, still having problems with blogger - waiting for OH to put me to the top of his list and sort out my lap top!!
This is my card for the new challenge at Passion for Promarkers, set by our lovely Lou!  She asked us to make a monochromatic card with funky coloured hair for the image.  Really not very happy with my offering, the shading looks blocky in my pics but always good to try something new!
The image is by the gorgeous Krista at Saturated Canary, with a little bit of Fifty Shades inspiration methinks!
My papers are from the Memory Box Viola set and I stamped the scripted piece myself using a Stampin Up large stamp.  I also used this to stamp on the chipboard button at the top.  The flourishes are cut and stamped with a PTI combo - I've heat embossed the flourishes for some extra richness! The little tags at the bottom are also from the PTI Tiny Tags range.

Our  sponsor this week is Joanna Sheen who is offering one lucky winner a £10.00 voucher to spend in her online store – and with free delivery your prize will definitely go that little bit further!

Check out the stunning makes by my DT buddies at PFP here - they are awesome!!
I think I may be waiting with my hand on my hip like this tonight, if OH still hasn't taken a look at my laptop!!!

The Tin Man

Hi folks, I am having so much trouble with blogger from my laptop that I'm publishing this in my lunch hour from work!  Will have to try and add more pics later but I can't see all the publishing buttons nor can I link to other blogs, challenges in my posts! I think I have done something very silly when I cleared down my temporary folder the other day in an effort to speed up my lappy!  Another reason why I've not been commenting much recently - it is just soooo painfully slow!!

Anyway this is the awesome Tin Man from Mo Manning, (I played the Tin Man in a school play, so he is very dear to my heart!!)  I've teamed him with these perfect papers from Graphic 45 and the cogs are  a new Prickly Pear die and stamp combo.  The sentiment is PTI - this guy is just perfect for it!

Right, back to work and wish me luck for tomorrow's post!!

Basic Grey - Anything Goes!!

Morning folks - what a glorious sunny day it is here in the UK - is it finally summer?!!!
I'm here with my card for our new challenge at Basic Grey Challenges and we have a fabulously easy theme of Anything Goes!!  Yes, you can do what you like - as long as you use a  Basic Grey Product and tell us which one!!
Our sponsor, as always is the wonderful Simon Says Stamp with our regular prize of a $25 credit voucher to spend with them.

I chose the gorgeous papers from the BG Plumeria  6x6 pad, such pretty colours!!  I then chose my image, yet another gorgeous lady from the Saturated Canary digi range!
I didn't want to cover up the papers too much so kept the embellies to a minimum ( for me!) The flower is from Wild Orchid, the sentiment is from Lili of the Valley and the lace and doily from stash.

I'm having real trouble with blogger at the minute, it's not showing all the publishing options when I'm preparing posts and the window isn't expanding as I type, so  I hope this looks ok!

Check out the stunning makes by my BG teamies here - I'm off to jump in the shower and enjoy the sunshine!  Have a great day yourselves!
(Help!! Just found I can't select words to link to the BG blog!!)

Mo's Monthly Blog Hop!!

If it's the third Thursday in  the month it can only mean one thing - it's time for the monthly hop with Mo's Dream Team!
The fabulously talented Pops is the hostess with the mostest and she has chosen  a lovely theme of Summer Colours!   Hopefully, you will have arrived here from Jane's blog (where no doubt, she had some stunning summer -coloured creation to share with you) but if you want to start at the beginning (a very good place to start!), then hop back over to Pop's blog.
For my card, I chose this gorgeous image called Between and she's just perfect for summer colours - nothing like lying in the sun reading a good book!
I've coloured her with my Pro and Flex markers and used a beautiful sheet of full-blown coral coloured roses but as it's been in my stash a while, I don't know the maker.
I also made some hand-rolled flowers with a Marianne die from the paper.
And then the little sentiment is so perfect from PTI!
The fabulous border and corners are cut with a Marianne Die.
Thanks for hopping by - your next stop on the hop is over to Debby's to check out her Summer creation!  Don't forget to leave a comment on each of the DT's cards as somewhere there are hidden a couple of $5 dollar vouchers, one of which could be yours!!
Have fun!!!!

Whiff of Joy Brads or Eyelets

Morning bloggers -  time for a new challenge at Whiff of Joy Challenges and a nice easy one for you - we want you to use Brads or Eyelets, of course, remembering to use a Whiff of Joy image. This little lovely is Fall Willow Catching Leaves and she's on special offer at Whiff of Joy at the minute - half price!!!

The tree frame is a gorgeous Memory Box die and the little basket die is a Marianne one.  The grass is actually a  Whiff of Joy die - a fairly recent purchase!! The sentiment is PaperTreyInk.

We're back with Simon Says Stamp sponsoring us this fortnight and a fabulous $25 dollar  credit voucher on offer to spend with them if you're the lucky winner.

Ooh I do hope you'll join us as we want to see more of your gorgeous Whiff of Joy makes!  Pop over here if you'd like to see the DT ladies' beautiful creations!!

Awwwh - goodbye Olympics!!

Do you know, it's been fantastic in London the last couple of weeks, the Olympics have been fantastic and the closing ceremony last night was awesome!!  So it seems rather fitting that my card today for the new challenge at Sketch N Stash is Olympic themed - and it's my sketch for this challenge!!
I've used this perfect Mo Manning image, Slam Dunk, for the challenge and as the card was for my BIL who had tickets for the Olympic basket ball sessions, it seemed doubly apt!
The papers are Papermania Portabello Road and the Union Jack ribbon is also from that range.
Just about the oldest item from my stash is the metal embellie below which is the nearest thing I had to a medal!!

Just a side view  to show all the layers!

Our sponsor for this challenge is:

My Mums Craft shop
with a gold medal-winning £10 voucher to spend with them!

My fabby teamies at SNS have created some awesome cards from my sketch, so check them out here! Our new boss, Daniele has also asked me to tell you a bit about myself so you can check that out too!!
Roll on the Paralympics now!!

Thank you cards!

Regular readers of my blog may remember me saying about my youngest daughter coming home rather late from her work experience on a West End show!  Well, the show that she was lucky enought to get her placement on was Chicago and she had a fantastic time.  So these two cards were thank yous to accompany some wine and chocs, for our neighbour and the cast and crew themselves.
A very simple technique of inking up an embossing folder and then pressing through my cuttlebug!  The sentiment die and tag are PaperTreyInk.

I suppose I should link these into some challenges but it's rather late and I'm feeling lazy!!
