Crazy Birds Birthday

I still love these Crazy Birds from Tim Holtz and came across them when I was having a small rejig in my craft room.  Nice, too on a loose inky background and with a Woodware sentiment.

Hoping to sort a few cards today for Holly's shop.

Enjoy your day.

90th card for my MIL

Renee, my mother-in-law, celebrated her 90th birthday  at the end of February, and we had a brilliant party  with all the family from children to great- grandchildren visiting us here in the Lakes.

This is the card  I made, using a Clearly Contructed Art Stamp illustrated by Catherine Moore.  The papers are K &Co and Galeria Papers with some vintage flowers and lace from my stash.  All in greens and purples to suit the birthday girl!

Wildflowers with Linocut background

I recently did a linocut class at Market Place Print Studios, opened recently by our Emily and her partner, Jack.   I thought I could use the skill to make my own backgrounds and images.  It was such a great class, Jack was a brilliantly calm tutor and not at all dismissive of the background image that I made.  I felt my fellow course attendees produced far more accomplished linocuts to use for card printing but I did have a different end product in mind.

The above shows the cards we made,  (I did some second generation printing for the one in the above picture).  I've then used Sizzix and Marianne Designs Wildflower dies to continue with the rustic theme and feel quite pleased with the finished card now!!

You can find out more about Market Place Print Studio here in Cockermouth, they're offering all sorts of classes and instruction.  It was also Emily's first time of lino cutting and look what she made with her finished stamp - love, love, love her beautiful  block printed butterfly bag. (Pic from a Maker's Market they did last weekend.)

Hopefully, I'll get back into the swing of posting on here - as I've stepped back from all my team stuff, I've lost the momentum but it has been lovely not to have to work to deadlines or use specific products.

Thanks for popping in.
