CAS Tim Holtz Crazy Birds with Jofy Stamps

Something a little bit different from me today - I have fallen in love with Tim Holtz's Crazy Bird stamps and made this card for my bird-loving Dad for Father's Day.  I've teamed it up with these brilliant Jofy Stamps (Jofy 24) from Paper Artsy and think they are a perfect match of style!  As you can see, my card is also very CAS which these stamps lend themselves too.  And because that is the theme of the new challenge starting today over at a Passion For Promarkers, just not my team's week - what a bird brain I am duh!!  Still hop on over there and join in the fun!!

I'll have a couple more cards made with these stamps to show you soon as I've fallen in love with them - especially great for those tricky male cards.

I hear it's rather hot down south today, sadly not so up here yet!  But enjoy if you can!

Passion for Promarkers with Mo's Digital Pencil

We have a lovely theme of Rainbows for our new challenge at a Passion for Promarkers that starts today.  I knew that I had to use this new image from Mo's Digital Pencil, called Godmother. I love her and she reminds me of the good witch from The Wizard of Oz, so I word processed the sentiments to tie in with our theme and cut my little rainbow with an old QuickKutz die that has been in my stash from the start!
Of course, I coloured her with my Promarkers and used some lovely Marianne papers from the Garden Party Pad - this must be one of my most favourite colour combos. The tiny dazzlers and turquoise flowers are also by Marianne.
My teamies over at PFP HQ have made some wonderful cards with our Rainbow theme so do pop on over to the challenge blog here to take a peek. Then, do come and join in our challenge as you could win two digis from Polkadoodles!

June Hop with Mo's Dream Team - It's Summer!!

Well, here we are in the middle of June, middle of the year, and should be in the middle of Summer here in the UK!  I'm not quite feeling the summer vibes so it's a good job we're injecting some Summer Fun into our cards for this month's blog hop.  It could be a summer image, summer colours or summer activities that you will see on the hop.  The theme this month was chosen by our lovely Alice and this is where you should have started.  Otherwise, hopefully you have hopped over to me from our gorgeous Gretha's blog and I know that both ladies would have had some awesome makes to share with you.  The full order of the hop is below if you need it.

On to my card, and I've gone with summer colours of bright oranges and peaches to showcase one of Mo's wonderful new images, Flower Jar.  I just love flowers in jars, so simple and yet so pretty and charming.
My papers are from Marianne Design and come from the Shabby Chic set - PK9121 and Old Press set PK9120.  I've also used a Marianne Design die for my window - Snowy Window CR1286 (without the snow, obviously!)  All these Marianne Design items are in stock right now here at Maddylisa Crafts.
The teeny jar sentiment and tag are from Stampin Up and the larger sentiment is from a Hero Arts set ( I believe) and stamped onto a Magnolia Doohickey tag die-cut.
My other bits and pieces are from stash.
Your next stop on the hop is over to my lovely friend, Debby's blog to see her wonderful make.
And while you're hopping, remember to leave a comment on each of the posts as you could be the lucky winner of one of two $5 vouchers to spend in Mo's Digital Pencil

Mo's Digital Pencil New Image - Neighbors

Hi bloggers.  I'm back from a great, if hectic, week in London moving my girls around (and bringing one home for good- yayyyyy!), crafting with my lovely matey, Lesley, who was also my hostess for the week (thank you so much, you and Tom were fabulous!), and also visiting my  old work colleagues, old neighbours and all my Guildford based nieces and their yummy children.
As much as I loved it, I am so glad to be home and to see how wonderful the garden looks after just a week away.  (A few piccies at the end.)
Somehow, today's card seems rather appropriate which I've made using this wonderful new image, Neighbors, from Mo's Digital Pencil.  It rather reminds me of The Painted Ladies houses in San Fransisco, and I must admit to being nervous about all this colouring, but I really enjoyed it and am rather pleased with the result.

I kept my design quite simple because the image is so brightly coloured, as are my papers from Prima. So I just added a piece of ribbon and a button and a sentiment from PTI.
Thanks for popping by and here are a few pics of our garden in bloom!

Male cards at Passion for Promarkers

Time for a new challenge at Passion for Promarkers HQ and our theme is to make one of those dreaded Male cards!!  I do struggle and even though my image is a boy, is it particularly masculine?  I dunno but I do love this LOTV image and the fence reminds me of our our gate and dry stone wall going onto the main garden.
The papers are My Mind's Eye, the sentiment is from Paper Trey Ink and the trees and little fence are from Marianne Designs as follows:
Horizon Trees - LR0355
Large Tree and fence part of Village Decoration Set Two - COL1383
Don't forget to hop over to the PFP Challenge Blog here to check out the wonderful makes of my teamies.  And, do come and join us in the challenge, Sassy Studio Designs are sponsoring us with 4 fab digis up for grabs!

Oooh and it's my 31st Wedding Anniversary today - Happy Anniversary Mr B!!!x

Lavinia Stamps again

Just checking in to post this card I made a few weeks ago for my daughter's friend who was in an awful accident a couple of months ago.  She's got life-changing injuries but her positivity and courage are amazing- you're an inspiration Li!
The image is from Lavinia Stamps as are most of the foliage silhouettes.  I had to bin a couple of attempts while practising my brayering and masking but it's all about the practise, right?
I've got the fracture clinic in the morning and I'm just hoping that the Dr will say my foot is well on the road to healing.  Still have some pain but not constantly but I want to drive to London at the weekend to see my girlies and bestie Lesley.  Fingers (but not toes) crossed!!
