Blues Skies - Passion for Promarkers new challenge

Our new challenge starts today at Passion for Promarkers and it was my turn to choose our theme.  I've gone for a colour  theme - Blue Skies- so perhaps a bit optimistic as it rained most of the day yesterday!  But really, it's all about the colour, so using shades of blue on your make.
My card is for my Uncle's 80th, and we celebrated with him on Sunday - he certainly is not at all like this guy above, and is 80 years young.  Still, I love the world-weary expression on Mo's image, Yeehaw, which you can find here in the store.  I've actually used the sentiment which comes with the female version, Whoopee, to be found here.
And look, no pretty papers!!.  Instead, I just added a chipboard 8 to the balloon, and the trio of balloons are from two Marianne Designs die sets - PP1401, is the heart shaped balloon's Catalogue number and in stock here at Maddylisa Crafts for an amazing £1.50.  The other balloons are part of a trio of dies and stamps set, catalogue number, COL 1378 and in stock here at Crafts U Love.
The only other die left to tell you about is the Happy Birthday itself, which ia a Memory Box die.

Our sponsors for this week's challenge are Little Claires who are offering the fabulous stamp set, Changing Birdhouse as the prize for the challenge winner!

Well, that's all from me for now but remember to take a look at the fabulous cards by my teamies at PFP here.

Mother's Day Cards with Stampin Up

I have some fabulous Stampin Up stash and don't use it enough, partly because I struggle to know how to use it!  So I've taken lots of inspiration of Pinterest and made these two Mother's Day cards using the Flower Patch stamp and die sets.  On the one above I used the gorgeous Anja's Edge die from Marianne Designs (LR0202 and in stock here in the UK at MaddyLisa Crafts).  I added some hessian, doilies and twine from stash and that was pretty much my card, and I have to say quite simple to make, apart from the cutting out of all the dies!!!  I've also used as much as possible, my Stampin Up inks.
The only change to this one is the Spellbinders border that I used for the curved edge.

I spent yesterday, out in our vegetable come flower come fruit garden and have managed to clear most of it as you can see below, just got to think about what to plant now!!

That's all for now, folks!  Nearly the weekend!!

March Mo Blog Hop - Hoppy Easter!!

Whoopee it's almost Easter - and it's also the the third Thursday of March, which means it's time for our monthly blog hop with Mo's Dream Team.  It's also my turn to host the hop and I've chosen a theme of Easter as we're so close to the chocolate festivities!  You're also right at the start of the hop but our full order is below just to help you along.

I've chosen the gorgeously cute Valerie Bunny for my card which handily comes with a ready-made sentiment for you!
I've used some lovely Magnolia Easter paper for my card but have then proceeded to cover most of it up!  And it has the cutest little Easter chicks on it too!
The butterfly border and fence were cut with Tim Holtz dies, the little duck and lamb are Die-Versions, while the little bow is a Memory Box die.  And the cute little rabbit is cut from a Pion 12x12  sheet.  The rest of my embellies are from stash.
Right, it's time now for you to hop on over to the blog of my lovely teamie and friend, Debby Y who will have something eggstraordinary to show you!! ( Geddit?!)  And. as always, don't forget to leave comments on each of the Dream Team posts, as there are two vouchers to be won to spend in Mo's Digital Pencil, and one of them could be yours!
Happy Hoppy Hopping!!

My papers are a mix of We Are Memory Keepers and My Mind's Eye, Miss Caroline range - Fiddlesticks for the plaid.  The side leaf border with the embossed/die cut combo is from a great new set from Marianne Designs (Cat no: DF3414) and in stock here at Maddylisa Crafts.  The frame is by Sizzix.

Mo Manning's Reach Star Girl

It's been a cold and windy day here, and my Dad went home yesterday, so I've spent the afternoon making this card using Reach Star Girl from Mo's Digital Pencil. I also had a delivery of some new Marianne Dies out this month so I couldn't wait to have a play.  This new frame set called Petra's Birds (Catalogue no: LR0351) is just fab - it comes with a little bird flourish although I've used another Marianne die, Tiny's Love Birds (Catalogue no: LR0298) as I loved how the little heart fitted into her outreached hands.  The bird border at the top of the frame is actually from some muffin cases that I bought a while ago.  There's also a couple of PaperTrey Ink dies on here, including the side banner die which has teeny little hearts cut out from it (which I've proceeded to cover up!!) and the little arrows/sentiment combo.  The star flourishes at the bottom are cut with a Memory Box die,  and the teeny dazzlers are also from Marianne and in stock at Crafts U Love!  The other embellies are all from stash, oh and the papers are Melissa Francis (as is the tiny eschuteon actually!).

And just to finish off, a couple of pics that we took during our travels around the Lakes with my Pa over the last week.

Lovely Lilacs and Lemons - Passion for Promarkers

I'm a bit late in posting today's card but I have my Dad visiting and we've been out and about showing him the wonderful Lakeland scenery.  We've had a lovely day, even though it's been bitterly cold!  Anyhoo, today's card is for our new challenge at Passion for Promarkers, with a colour theme of Lovely Lilac and Lemons  chosen by our Shelly who has popped in from her maternity leave to head up the challenge this week.  I've used this little cutey image from Marianne Designs Snoejies range - she's called Victorian Style (Cat no: 9470),
My papers are from My Mind's Eye, I've used some Stampin Up butterfly punches and the rest of my dies are from Marianne as below:
Creatables Labels - LR0241
Sentiment from Clear Stamp set CS0916
Lavender die - LR0157
Rectangle frame and flowers set - CR1202
Anja Edge die - LR0202
Confetti die from which I've used the 'confetti' for my butterflies and the waste for my top left hand corner! - LR0342.
The little resin flowers were my final touch and from stash.

Our generous sponsor this week is Crafty Sentiments designs and they are offering one lucky winner 3 digi images of their choice from the online store.

Floral Trellis box

I made this floral trellis popping box using a stencil and die combo from Robert Adams - in stock here at Joanna Sheen.
Kept it reasonably simple as the papers are quite detailed - K&Co.  I made the big flower on the front using a Sizzix Lily die and the rolled flowers are made with Marianne Dies(Catalogue no: LR0162).
The butterflies and smaller blooms were punched using Martha Stewart punches and the sentiment is an old Hero Arts (I think).
This was for my M-I-Ls birthday yesterday so hope she liked it!!
