Hiya!!
Have hardly had time to get anything posted the last few days!! It was my ~*th birthday yesterday and had a fabbie lazy day with a family meal in the evening!!! Nick and I went to Rye in the rain on Saturday which was lovely, especially as I managed to persuaded him to trek across country to the Glitter Pot on the way home!!
Thank you to my lovely bloggie friends who sent me cards - cannot believe the beautiful cards that I received - made my day I can tell you - I had a stack to open!!!
Anyway, onto the card that I've made this afternoon - a new home card for Sis-in-Law.
I've used the sketch on Friday Sketchers, Basic Grey Lemonade and My Mind's Eye Penny Lane Papers, along with the Stampin Up window with little cutie peeking out (coloured with Promarkers). The sentiment is also Stampin Up, flowers and ribbon are from stash.
Thanks everyone too for all your support and good wishes for my first DT post on Passion for Promarkers - can't tell you how much it means!!! Another one coming tomorrow!!

Oh and last but not least, my very first DT card - eeekkkkkk!!!
I used this fabulous Sweet Pea image which was an absolute delight to colour!! One thing I didn't remember to do was make a note of the colours I use - I promise to do this next week!! The papers are mostly Papermania and I chalked the edges for a bit of depth! I've glamour dusted her wings and the flower is the Tattered Florals die from Tim Holtz - so delicious!!!
Whoo, that was a long post but so much to show and tell - now get your self over to Passion For Promarkers to join in the fun, say hello to the new DT members and check out all the amazing cards that the DT, new and old, have made to inspire you (and me!!).

Feeling Blue!!
Well, while I was making this card anyway!! This fashion stamp was one that I just HAD to have a while back, so hooked it out for this card for a family member.
Coloured with Promarkers and layered up using various DPs including Stampin Up and Papermania. I also followed this week's great sketch over at Friday Sketchers so will be entering it into that challenge.
It's been a glorious day here and another due tomorrow - summer has arrived!!! Have a great day whatever you're planning on doing!!

Bubbles!!
Evening peeps!
I'm very late tonight and didn't get to WOYWW again but will try and hop around a few blogs after this! Anyway, this little lovely just magically appeared on my desk this week - imagine that!!
I've used the sketch from Sketch and Stash challenge 35. The items that have been in my stash for ages are the papers - they're so old I can't even remember where I got them from.! Also, the chipboard elements that I wondered if I would ever get round to using!! The edging punch is a Martha Stewart, again in my stash for a while (my Chrissy pressie from my best matey Lesley). Got the old sewing machine out again and used my Promarkers which means I can enter this into this week's Passion for Promarkers challenge 52 which has a theme of fantasy/mythical creatures. Finally, I'm going to pop into the Flutter By Wednesday challenge 110 as I've used flowers and butterflies with my fairy Tilda.
Only two more days until the weekend - hope this gorgeous weather stays around!

CANDY TIME!!! Now Closed!!
Finally!! I've been promising this for weeks, I know but now my room is all lovely, I've managed to sort this! This was originally to celebrate reaching one hundred lovely followers, and ten thousand hits - thank you so much - which I reached a few weeks ago!!! So the above is what I want to give to one of my lovely followers, including a yummy Green at Heart pad from Basic Grey, and a Whiff of Joy Willow stamp, both bought at Ally Pally. There's a couple of LLB paper pads and ribbon set, a Floral Fantasy Cuttlebug Folder, V&A stamps, Prima Flowers, My Mind's Eye ribbon and some buttons all the colours of the rainbow!! Oh, and the Papermania 12x12 Rose pad, which is just gorgeous and nearly didn't include it!! I've been using my pad this morning and those papers are so pretty!!!
So, if you would like to be in with a chance just leave a comment below - a link to my candy on your blog would also be great. I'm going to leave this up for two weeks, almost, until Saturday 15th May and will announce the winner on Sunday the 16th. Just got to work out how to keep this at the top of my blog and sorted!!!
Thanks to all the brilliant bloggers and crafty people out there who have inspired me, become my friends and given me so much enjoyment, fun and help. You're a lovely lot!!
Summer's here!!
This is another of the Slapstick range from Penny Black - I adore these images and had to buy this one - it so reminds me of my big sis when we were little!! The colouring didn't go quite so well here and have covered up my atrocious colouring of her dress and bow with paper-piecing!! That's why I was pleased with the strawberry!!
The strawberry is a Magnolia accessory stamp, sentiments are from a big K&Co box that I bought years ago and paper is Basic Grey Nook and Pantry. As my flower is home-made I can also enter this into the Quixotic Paperie challenge this week.
Thank you for all your birthday wishes for my Holly yesterday-she did like her card and book!! She's having a BBQ late this afternoon, so fingers crossed the sun comes out!!

My daughter's birthday tomorrow!!
Feel as though I've been AWOL this week, hate it when life gets in the way of important things like blogging and making stuff!! Anyways, it's Friday tomorrow and my lovely number one's birthday. This is the card I've made for Holly, who'll be 22! I watercoloured the Aspects of Design image with Distress Inks, and used various makes of paper including Basic Grey, Daisy Bucket and My Mind's Eye Penny Lane. The lace is from LLB ( pack in my candy which ends on Saturday!) I've heat embossed the edges with gold and the same with the swirl in the corner. I also masked off the image and stamped and embossed the background with a script stamp. Spot the deliberate mistake - if you look carefully, you may see that the writing is upside down!! However, it's in french and it's the effect rather than the meaning!!
I've also made a matching journal book for her as she a bit of a song writer and loves writing down her thoughts and lyrics that pop into her head.
Will try and catch up with some challenges and blogging over the weekend - I even missed WOYWW this week!!
Loadsa Luv!

Bottle tags!
Just quickly showing you a couple of bottle tags I made yesterday to accompany some champers that we took to my niece's engagement party last night! The image is one of the gorgoues new Leanne Ellis releases from Sugar Nellie and then I masked it and stamped it with the Roses Hero Arts Cling stamp so it just framed the edge of the girl. Really pleased with the effect - think these two stamps were made for each other!!
The paper flower is one I made a few weeks ago - shame in a way, as it hides part of the edging roses but used it because it gave a bit of dimension.
The next one is really simple, I just used the new Tim Holtz Alterations Sign die, distressed the edges and added the lettering!! Love, love, love this die and think I will get so much use out of it!!

Colour Create Challenge 44
What am I like!! I saw this sketch over on the Sugar Bowl challenge and though- mmm, like that and it would be great for the Colour Create challenge as their optional extra this time is circles!! I then proceed to make the card with this little lovely from the Tracey Coates Beautiful Butterflies set from Aspects of Design!! (Sugar Bowl has to be a Sugar Nellie image, doh!!) The CC challenge is to use the colours aqua, cream, brown and khaki (with the extra -circles). I've coloured her with Distress Inks and added the butterflies and leaves into her hair over the stamped ones to give it a bit of dimension. I've also added some little pearls into hair for extra prettiness! DPs are Garden Stack Papers from DCWV and can't remember where I got the stripy or the floral backed paper!! Lots of stickles glitter and the sentiment is a Penny Back stamp.
Just watching the scrummy Jake Gyllenhaal on the tv at the moment then must toddle off to bed!!

WOYWW
Another WOYWW - check it out here if you want to take part in this brill Wednesday event started by our glorious leader, Ms Dunnit. I so wanted to show you a messy desk today with lots of push back and pile up but I just can't do it at the moment!! Everything seems to get tidied away in my new space but messy looks so much more creative!! Anyway my pic shows you some new goodies that were waiting for me when I went back to work yesterday!! Such a necessity to have crafting goodies delivered to the office to overcome that Monday morning feeling don't you think! (Well, Tuesday this week!) As you can see I was mounting these new lovelies - some new Sweet Pea stamps and a gorgeous set from Tracy Coates for Aspects of Design - think it's got butterflies in the title!!! Need to start a card for DD number one so may use one of these for her - she hates the moomin faces (as she calls Tildas!!)
I'm not managing to get round all the Wednesday blogs but I am trying as hard as I can so hope you'll bear with me! Also, do enter my blog candy, if you fancy what you see - the post is a sticky at the top of the page!!!

Basic Grey photo inspiration
Evening, how's everyone feeling about returning to work tomorrow, if you have to? - Me, ugghhh!! Just been put into perspective though, I've just heard that my friend's 17 year old son was in a hit and run and had to be airlifted to hospital!!! Sending all my prayers and love to them - think he's going to be ok but it's going to be a long haul.
This is my card for the Basic Grey challenge no 19 which is a wonderful photo of a child's room:
I mainly used the colours in the photo as my inspiration, but also thought the streamer on the end of the boy's plane mirrored the bunting in the picture. Also had to use something Basic Grey of course, but a lot of my papers were too girly or the wrong colours. However, I've used some of the Boxer papers as matting and for the little propellers ( well, I thought they looked like the propeller on the plane!) I've also used some Coredination paper, sanded back after embossing with the Argyle CB folder. I don't know the make of the red paper, but it matches the Shaker, shabby chic feel of the room.
Finally, the image is coloured with Promarkers, with Stormy Sky Distress Ink on the edges. Oh and of course, this wonderful little guy and his pal, is a Penny Black cling image, which I 'borrowed' from my fabby friend, Alex, when we had a play date recently!! I've not put a sentiment on it yet but may well use it for my Dad on Father's Day as he has recently built a very similar model plane!!
