One Post,Two Cards, Three Occasions

Can't believe that I haven't had anything to post since Monday!  I have been busy though as you will see.  I've got two makes to show you, this one for our new challenge at Basic Grey, and my card for our new challenge at Crafty Emma's Challenge a bit further down.

This fortnight at Basic Grey the challenge has been set by the fab Jo and she wants to see more than one fold on your card.  I've gone with this Criss Cross design and I've used 12x12 papers to ensure that my paper was wide enough to make the folds!  My Mum's Birthday is today so with Mother's Day tomorrow, I decided to use  the criss cross envelope to house two tags, one for each day.
I've used Basic Grey Urban Prairie, Sultry and Eva 12x12 papers, and elements from a Sultry Collection pack.  I've coloured these fab Greeting Farm pin ups with Promarkers and coloured the white tags with some new duster brushes that I bought at the NEC and have just used! Don't know if you can see it really, but I dusted the tags with distress ink and you get a really nice, smooth finish!!
I cut the sentiments with nesties and cut my lacy borders with a Martha Stewart punch.  In fact I used lots of punches and lots of die cutting!!  Hope you can join in our challenge at Basic Grey this week - the DT have made some truly stunning cards to show you, so many fab folds!!  Do join us and do remember to use something Basic Grey in your make (and don't forget to point out what it is!!) to be eligible to win a great prize from our regular sponsor Simon Says!

Right then, on to my next Mother's Day card and my next challenge card, this time for our new challenge at Crafty Emma's Challenges.
Our challenge at CES Challenges has been set by another fabby DT Girlie, Sheena and she wants Children as your theme.  Which is why I went with this lovely Day for Daisy Digi Image which is perfect for Mother's Day don't you think?
This is my MILs card for Sunday and I knew she would love and appreciate these fab new Webster's pages from the Trends/Ladies and Gents set that Emma has in her store here.  I've also used my Promarkers ( of course), flowers, leaves, pins, hearts and pearls from Emma's store.  I always forget to mention that Emma sells the Incredibly Tacky Glue that I use to secure the flowers in place - it's brilliant stuff and lasts ages!!
The brad is from a Papermania make your own set, so I punched some of the roses paper and made this lovely, antiquey looking embellie, to accent the tulle which best matey, Lesley gave me for Crimbo.
The Webster's page already had the unique sentiment in the top left hand corner above which seemed perfect for Mother's day.
The sentiment on the lower part of the easel was cut with Nesties Labels and the swirly frame is from Waltzing Matilda Stamps that are made to fit this set of labels. The lace is vintage from my stash and only used sparingly for those special people!
Not sure what the prize is for this week's challenge but it will be something from Emma's store which is filled to bursting with lovely goodies so you won't be disappointed!  You could pop over to the Challenge Blog to see what it is, and also check out the wonderful children inspired cards made by my uber-talented DT mateys at CES challenges.
Well, thanks for keeping with me this far, hope to see you joining in one or both of the challenges, and if you're a mummy have a great day on Sunday - hope you're spoilt rotten (hope I'm spoilt rotten!!)
