Evening everyone - well, that's Monday over with thank goodness, and was expecting to go to parent's evening tonight, but youngest DD, Emily has said it's not absolutely necessary. We've had her report and her tutor said in that that her report was faultless, so it seems a little pointless going up there to be told how wonderful she is - we already know that!!
Instead, I thought I post my card for bestest matey/partner in crafting crime, Lesley's Birthday card!!
I saw her on Saturday, the day of her birthday, so I know she has it! We went to the Stitch and Creative Craft Show at Sandown, it was great, although we were reasonably good!! I then went back to hers for a bit of a play and some colouring!! While we were out, her hubby had been out and bought lunch and laid it all out with candles, flowers and wine and everything! We then went up to her craft room and there were choccies and more flowers!! Wasn't that lovely!! I reckon I could have got away with going out with them for their celebratory meal too but didn't outstay my welcome!!
Anyway, back to my card, I followed the sketch for challenge 53 at The Pixie Cottage. I used the Linen Closet stack of papers from DCWV that Lesley actually gave me for Xmas - she had them and knew I coveted them, so she got me some from her last trip to the States!! That brings me to the other part of the challenge, which is the option of making something for someone you love!! Well, I loves her, I do, known her since we were 11 and she really is my best friend!!
Other things to note:
Image - Leanne Ellis new release, If Only from Sugar Nellie, Seam Binding from The Ribbon Girl and flowers from Wild Orchid and Crafty Emma's. The sentiment is Stampin Up and all coloured with Promarkers.

As the proud owner of this stunning creation I can honestly say that the photo does not do it justice. Thank you Julie! You is my bestest friend too! I had such a fabulous weekend. After spending quality time with you, we went out for dinner and the food was so good it made me weep! Then lunch at bruvs yesterday.
