Colour Create Time of the Week

The week is racing towards the weekend, only two days to go! Thursday already, which means it's Colour Create day with our inspirational picture chosen for you by our lovely Sharon with a T!  Gorgeous fuschias aren't they!
30 Jun - Challenge 74 - Sharon T
So our colours are Fuschia, Green and White and this week we have the optional extra of making your own flowers.
I've gone with this super little Kraftin Kimmie Fairy and coloured her with my Promarkers, primarily - Fuschia!!
I fancied her skipping across a woodland glade over the toadstools and flowers and have cut her out with an oval nestie die but just keeping her foot and wing tip outside of the cutting area.  I started colouring her at matey Lesley's on Saturday, and we had quite an in depth discussion as to what colours my toadstools could be as fuschia wasn't very lifelike!! Lesley did then point out that I was using a fairy so perhaps the lifelike argument wasn't really relevant!!
The toadstool is from Whiff of Joy and the flower is a Little Claire Designs stamp - one of those that I bought years ago, have never used, wondered why I bought it.....until now!! The perspective of the daisy was perfect for my little lifelike skipping fairy!!
Papers are My Mind's Eye Lime Twist, Happy Go Lucky, purchased from Crafty Emma's here.  My hand made flowers were made with a Marianne Creatable die with a little gem popped in the middle.
I used my Ink Duster brushes and Broken China Distress Ink for the background clouds.
The sentiment came with the stamp  and with a  final sprinkle of Stickle on her wings I was done.  Hope you like and hope you'll find some time to join in with us this week!
Grab your fairy wings and skip on over to the challenge blog, here  to see all the awesome cards made by my lovely CC teamies!!

Passion for Promarkers - Week 106 - Babies - Ahhhhh!

Hiya - was it hot it enough for you yesterday!!  Goodness what a scorcher!  I was so hot on the train coming home and then in the evening, had to turn my lap top off early as it was overheating too!
Anyhoo, this is my card for our new challenge at Passion for Promarkers and it's Babies as chosen by our very own yummy mummy to be, Emma!!
I've chosen this wonderfully sweet, image from Mo's Digital Pencil, Baby Fairy Flora and layered her up with First Edition Spring Feast Papers bought from Crafty Emma's Store as were the little pink flowers.
The card is for a cousin of my OH, who has just had a little girl, who they've named Amelia - congratulations Spencer and Nicky!!

This week, we're being sponsored by In2Stamps and you could win two stamps from their gorgeous selection,

Looking forward to seeing lots of gorgeous baby cards this week!  Have fun!

Saturday Challenges

Hello bloggers - I'm back today with my card for both this week's CES Challenges which is Anything But Square, and our next challenge at Basic Grey Challenge which has a theme of Stitching.
I've had this gorgeous image from Mo Manning in my collection for a while now and was determined to make it fit for both challenges!!  Wasn't too much of a hardship - the Stitching element for Basic Grey is there with this brill Darn It digital image from Mo's Digital Pencil.
I've also used a few stitching themed embellies such as the pins, buttons, ribbon and the Tim Holtz ruler tape. These were all from Crafty Emma's store as was the cork buckle slider, divine twine and the McGill Ticket Punch that I used for the, er well, tickets!!
Oh and Emma also has 25% of nearly everything in her store at the moment but only until Monday, so scoot on over there quick!! And if you're  joining in with our
Anything but Square challenge this week, as picked by our lovely Sheena, you could win a £10 voucher to spend in the store!!

For our Basic Grey Challenge, I've used Marrakesh 6x6 papers, and also the Basics Kraft and Manilla 6x6 pads.  Don't forget to let us know what Basic Grey items your're using if you play along with us at BG!
We're being sponsored at BG by our regular Sponsor, Simon Says Stamps, and a $25 voucher to spend with them!!

Simon Says Stamp $25 Credit Voucher

All my gorgeous teamies on both challenges have made some wonderful cards, as always so hope you get a little time to check them out.

I'm off out for a day at matey Lesley's, to have a drool at all the goodies she bought in her recent trip to the US.
OOh and just must tell you about the FANTASTIC service that I received from Letraset!!  I ordered one of their Tria sets last Friday as they had a secret sale of 65% off,  so £14 for a set  of 12 of the three tipped markers instead of £40!  Bought one set then had to go back and get some more!!! Long story short, one of the paypals didn't complete but a lovely lady called Michelle at Letraset sorted it and called me back three times to let me know what was going on!!  They sorted it out so quickly and so cheerfully - so thank you Michelle and Letraset!!

Happy Saturday!!

A Kenny K Girlie just because!

Well not quite just because -  I need to post it tomorrow!!  Used this fabulous Kenny K image and a  freebie bike image that I can't remember where from!!
Entering it into the current challenge at Kenny K which is asking for checks ....check!! I used this houndstooth check from Stampin Up, embossed the footplate onto cordination black then sanded it back, a few screw brads and I'd done - the sentiment came with a Kraftin Kimmie image!
Sorry, this last picture is a  bit blurry but it's rush, rush rush tonight!!!
Thank heaven it's Friday tomorrow!

We've gone to the Park at Passion for Promarkers!!

Have your ordered some of the new LOTV girls release - they are fabulous and I treated myself to one or two and still wish I'd bought more!! This little lovely is perfect for our new challenge at Passion for Promarkers this week - Park Life. So anything you might see in a park!!
I went for the shabby chic distressed look but wish I hadn't made it quite so shabby!! The papers are from the  Prima Annelise 6x6 paper pad and the sheet music is also a LOTV stamp!  Made the crinoline flowers myself  and the little Ring a Ring a Roses sentiment is from a  K & Co set of embellies and die cuts  that I bought years ago!

This week we're being sponsored by Letraset - pop on over to the challenge blog to check out the special prize this week!!

Sketch N Stash is here again!!

This is my card for the latest challenge at Sketch N Stash, with the sketch designed by the lovely lady that is Vicky on our DT.

Loved the sketch, Vicky!!  Hope you will too as we have one of our fab regular sponsors with us and you could win four of their great images!

You'll see straight away that I've rotated the image a quarter turn, as I had this idea to do an easel card as soon as I saw the sketch!!
I've merged this gorgeous new Tilda image with the Magnolia bench which has been in my stash awhile and coloured both with my PM's. I've also done a few very light clouds with my Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and a hadn made stencil!!
The papers are K&Co which I've had for at least two years but the little die cut flower flourishes, sentiment and corners are from a K&Co die cut pack that I picked up a couple of weeks a go from HobbyCraft - they are so pretty and you get loads for your bucks!!
The large pair of roses on the bottom half are also from the set, although they look here like they are part of the paper! A few sparkly gems and that was me done!!
Thought about adding more but eldest DD said she loved it and that's saying something as she rather  dislikes images without mouths!!
Feeling a bit sorry for myself today, I've been stung by a wasp that was hiding in my towel as I got out of the bath and I now have a very large sting on my leg!!  I suffer badly when wasps sting, and have a mild systemic reaction which makes the sting area very hard, hot and very wide!!  May have to get something stronger from the Dr if the anthistamines I'm taking don't work.  Blumming things nest in some part of our eaves every year and are a real nuisance!!  This year they've chosen the bathroom eaves - so my warning to you is to shake your towel before you wrap it round you!!
Back to our challenge - hope you can join in with us and make some fab cards using Vicky's great sketch!  The DT girlies have certainly done that, so hop on over to see their beautiful and varied cards on the challenge blog.
Don't forget to tell us what is new and what has been in your stash a while!
Thanks for stopping by!

My first blog hop at Mo's - Yayyhhh- and Colour Create no 73!!

Hello peeps - oooh it's so exciting today, it's my first Blog Hop for Mo's Dream Team!! And of course it's our fortnightly challenge at Colour Create.  And, and, as you will see, I've actually managed to combine my card for both events - not something I manage to do very often!  Just as well really, as someone has stolen the days this week and I wouldn't have had time to make another!!

To kick off then, the Hop at Mo's this month has been chosen by my lovely new teamie, Heidy, and her chosen theme is to make your own flowers. So Heidy's blog is where you should start if you've come straight here and you want to  hop along! If you are hopping, hopefully you've arrived here from Jane's blog!
For Colour Create, the inspiration picture has been picked by our fabby Mina, with these gorgeous colours of Blue, Grey and White.  Oh and the optional extra is Vellum!

16 Jun - Challenge 73 - Mina - Blue, grey and white
For my card, I've used this formidable little lady, Aunt Flo, from Mo's Digital Pencil, which is available here - ain't she fabulous, right down to her sensible shoes and Norah Batty tights!!
I've used a strip of vellum behind the image and the leaves are some die cut vellum ones that have been stash lurking!!  The top flower also has some vellum layers, cut with the Nesties Bloom die, and layered up with some of the matching paper in the background. So that's one handmade flower!
The other flowers I made by twisting ribbon round onto a circle covered with adhesive and added a gem, or diamante to the centre! That's my handmade flowers done then.
So there you have it, my two for one!!  Don't forget to visit my lovelies at Colour Create to see their fabulous creations this challenge.  Hope you will join us too.  Oh and if you're hopping with us at Mo, leave a comment on each team member's blog as you go round and you could win one of two $5 dollar vouchers to spend at Mo's - so many lovely images, so little time!! (Don't forget, it starts at Heidy's!)

Finally, I should say that I'm entering my card into the Create 4 Fun challenge, whose super sketch I followed!

PFP Challenge - Here Comes the Bride

This is my card for our next challenge at Passion For Promarkers as chosen by our lovely Debs who's chosen Here Comes the Bride as her theme - it is wedding season after all!
We're being sponsored by the Digi Stamp Boutique and so have been able to choose some of their great images to use this week.  I've chosen the Cute Bride and Groom image - so sweet and lovely to colour.
I've actually managed to make a card to enter for a challenge this week too and have followed the sketch over at Sketch Saturday but have rotated it a quarter turn.  I've also made some more little rolled roses - love this die!

I've used papers from a PaperMania 12x12 set - think it's called Rose Garden.
As I said, we're being sponsored by Digi Stamp Boutique and you could win 6 digi stamps from their great selection.

The PFP team have made some fabbie cards too so don't forget to pop over  to the blog for a peek.
Have a great Tuesday.

Double DT day!! Basic Grey and CES Challenges

Two very different cards to show you today - one for our next challenge at Basic Grey and one for this week's theme at CES Challenges.
Firstly our challenge at CES, as set by our fabbie Carrie.  And it's film night!! You can  choose your fave film or maybe something that you've seen recently.
As  usual, our prize is a fabaroonie £10 voucher to spend in Emma's online store!
Just about my favourite film is Last of the Mohicans with Daniel Day Lewis -he is stunning in it and the music and the love story ..wow!!  However, as you can see this isn't what my card is all about!  I needed to make a 21st card for my nephew, who is working very hard at building up his film company.  I was looking for a retro film director image in free clip art but came across this image instead of The Invisible Man. I've coloured with my trusty PMs and used Bo Bunny Time Piece Papers and Webster's Hollywood pages, all from Emma's Online Store.  I've then used some Tim Holtz film strip ribbon and added the little birthday letters underneath, anchoring the strip with some photo clips.
The little clapperboard was cut from the Hollywood Websters pages.
The gorgeous girlies on the CES DT have chosen some great films and used some great images, papers and embellies to illustrate them, so go and take a peek!!

And now for something completely different!!
This is my card for our next challenge at Basic Grey Challenges and this week we have a  great colour scheme - Hot Pink, Lime Green and Brown/Kraft.  I love bright colours!!!  I've coloured up my  new Gorjuss girl image purchased at the Craft Barn last weekend and then used Basic Grey Sultry Papers.  Amongst many wonderful demos , we watched the amazing Chris Dark ( who also happens to be a previous DT member for Basic Grey Challenges!) work her magic with Copics and used a few of her tips when colouring Gorjuss Girl's hair - quite pleased with it!!!

Didn't need to do much else, I thought  the papers and colours speak for themselves!!  I've layered up using papers from the  Basic Grey Kraft Basics pad and also stamped my Cat's Life Press sentiment onto the Kraft.
The flowers are made using another new purchase from the Craft Barn - a Marianne die which cuts out the shape for these rolled flowers.  (I did have a birthday voucher to spend there!!)  Another birthday purchase was the WRMK stitching tool and floss, which I got from Quixotic Paperie.
I've also used a  little BG chipboard butterfly which is not a new purchase but has been lurking in my stash for a fair while!
We have our regular sponsor with us, Simon Says Stamps, who have  such a fab range of goodies and you could win a little spending voucher to spend there:
Simon Says Stamp $25 Credit Voucher

Again, the amazingly talented girls at Basic Grey challenges have made some beautiful creations - I nearly didn't bother when I saw what they had made!  You won't be disappointed if you go and have look!!  I hope you can join us - just don't forget to use a Basic Grey product and let us know what you've used just in case it doesn't quite jump of the page!!
Off for a spot of shopping now, enjoy your day whatever you're up to.
