Colour Create No 61 meets Friday Sketchers 134

Yes, it's time for our next challenge at Colour Create which will take us into the new year.  Loved viewing all your beautiful plum and white cards for my challenge last week - stunners all!  For our next challenge, it was so lovely to make a card other than a Christmas card, and so nice to be able to use this wonderful LOTV image which I bought at the NEC in November.  Here's my card - it's based on the following pic, chosen by my fabbie teamie, Dena.
30 December - Challenge 61 - Dena
Isn't this the prettiest fabric  - loved the colour scheme of Pink, Red and White, and you have the optional extra of using hearts in your creation - you can just see mine in the  centre of the top flower.
I've used lots of different papers but the only one I know is the pink Basic Grey Urban Prairie! I've also used yet another wonderful sketch provided by the fab team over at Friday Sketchers, so I'm entering it into their challenge no 134.

Back to Colour Create and this week we are being sponsored by Robyns' Fetish Digital Stamps and More who have some fab digi images for you to possibly win! Also don't forget to check back on the Colour Create Blog to check out the most fabulous cards made by my wonderful teamies and also to see who the lucky winner was from our last challenge!!

Another Mo Christmas card and that list of to do's is finally complete!!

Sorry  that sounds a little Bah Humbug but doesn't it get a little like that sometimes, with the long list of things to before the big day, and over the festive period, that you tick things off the list, hopefully as successful, but you sure are happy when that list comes to an end!!  Anyway, I had a wonderful Christmas with all my loved ones, and I'm back to work tomorrow with the list done and dusted!!  Anyway, just showing you a card I made for my son with another of the fab Scrooge images from Mo's Digital Pencil!!  Can't tell you how much I love these images!

This was actually quite a quick card to make as there wasn't much colouring required for the image, and I kept the papers and layout fairly simple because it was for a man, but I rather like it!  Lots of distressing and it was made!!

I'll be back tomorrow with my DT card for our latest challenge at Colour Create, and I'm just off now to catch up on a few blogging buddies!!  Take care.

Colour Create No 60 - Plum and White

Hello there - it's time for our next challenge on Colour Create and this time it's my turn to set the challenge.  Firstly though, big round of applause to you for all the wonderful cards entered into our last challenge.  Don't forget to check on the Colour Create Blog for the winning entries.

We've another fab sponsor this week  -  One Stop Card Crafts - with a fab voucher up for grabs as the prize.

Here's my picture for this fortnight's challenge:16 December - Challenge 60 - Julie - Plum and White
Your colours are Plum and White with the optional extra of a frame.

Luckily for me, I'd chosen the picture a while ago and it meant that I could combine my challenge card with a card  I needed to make for this weekend!! I don't know about you but I'm running on empty at the moment, so much to do so little time!!  I'd left my DT card to the last minute and did the same for a wedding card for my niece.  Luckily, she is a huge purple fan, so I was able to use the colours for her wedding card!

She's getting married at Hampton Court, so I think there will be quite a mediaeval theme running through the day, and I'd bought this image an age ago from Third Coast Rubber Stamps with her wedding card in mind.

I followed the sketch over on Friday Sketchers, always a goodie, with lots of embellies and punching!  A couple of detail pictures below.
Late for work now  but it's Christmas Lunch and Secret Santa day so hopefully not a lot of work going on!!  I'm so sorry for not getting round to see all my blogging buddies at the moment, hopefully normal service can be resumed very soon!!!

This Week's Challenge at CES Challenges - Anything But A Christmas Card

Here's my card for this week's challenge at CES Challenges - and if you've had enough of the Christmas making then this is the challenge for you!!  Anything but a Christmas Card as chosen by my fab teamie, Sheena.  I loved looking at all the beautiful cards last week - I don't know how the winners could be chosen!!  Looking forward to seeing more gorgeous cards  through the next week.

Our sponsor this week is The Stamp Fairy and you could win three digi images of your choice - Big Smiles!!!

Onto my card and I've used this fab Whiff of Joy image from the City Girl Range.  I've used loads of lovely goodies  that are available from Crafty Emma's Online Store and these include GCD Paris Night Papers, Webster's Hollywood Pages, the ribbon, the black buckle sliders, pearls and the pins that you can just see peeking out of the flower.  And of course, Emma sells the full range of Promarkers ( used here) and Aquamarkers.
I  love a good sketch and this one is no exception - from Sketch and Stash challenge  so I'm entering it into their challenge this week.
Sorry I'm so late in post - manic here!!  Got all my family here tomorrow and just been to buy our tree which is a bit of a monster!!  Making trifle and mince pies as we speak, and just got to make a cheese dip and clear up everywhere!!!  I hope I can relax a bit more after tomorrow!!  ( Maybe not, just thinking about what's to be done next week!)

Another Crimbo card for Sweet Stampin

This is a Christmas card with a Penny Black Stamp that I bought at the NEC last month. Lots of the ideas I've used were from a sample card that they had on the stall, which I fell in love with, so I'm not taking credit for any originality!!  This includes the 'block printed' background paper which was one of the ideas from the sample card.
And as Sweet Stampin's theme this week is make your own background paper I'm entering it into their current challenge! I made the paper by cutting a diamond from some cut'n'dry and just stamped it roughly. I then added a border of glitter with stickles. The image itself was very simply done by using Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink and stamping it up! I then masked out the flame with a circle and sponged the edges with more distress ink to get the halo effect for the flame's glow. Lots of stickle on the candle and that was that! Easy peasy!

The ribbon accross the middle is some I bought a couple of years ago from Ikea and the snow flakes, which I've glittered up a bit, were cut with a MS punch and that was it!

My Snow Day Scrooge!

Wow, two posts in one day -  can't remember the last time I managed that!  But actually couldn't get into work today - snowed in, so I spent the day making this card for the OH for Christmas!! (Coloured another image too but that's all I managed!)  Another awesome new Mo Manning digi image - couldn't wait to get my mitts on her new Scrooge range!! Got a Tiny Tim and Bob Cratchett, another Scrooge and the ghost of Bob Marley - watch this space!!

I knew I'd get lots of use out of this sentiment set and it just seems so perfect with the look on Scrooge's face and his miserly temperament - can't you just see him writing his Christmas list for Santa!!  I've used the sketch over on Sketch and Stash which I think I've managed to follow!  I've actually torn a page out of an old, falling-to-pieces book that I bought especially for card making - not Dickens though - but husband is a librarian and a Scrooge - LOL!!  The papers are Basic Grey Jovial and I've used various punches and dies.  The post stamps are ones that I've had an age and just knew they would come in useful!!  The tree is from a Christmas set by Anna Griffin  that I bought a few years ago too!

Hope you're not having too many problems with all the snow - keep safe and warm!

Colour Create here again!

Time for our next challenge at Colour Create - loved all the cards we've seen over the last couple of weeks!!  For the next fortnight's challenge our colours are Green, Grey and White with the optional extra of silver or acetate  - and here's your picture:
2 December - Challenge 59 - Victoria Grey, Green, white

I've gone with something a bit different for me as I was determined to use this gorgeous Penny Black Snowflake wreath so haven't used an image as such.

Lots of heat embossing though, silver edging and sparkle!!

We're being sponsored this week by Michele's Scrapbooking and we have the two  prizes up for grabs with this challenge - two new images from Michele that are getting their very first outing on Colour Create!!  Sharon has made a gorgeous card with one of the new images so hop on over to the challenge blog and take a peek, along with the rest of the DT's truly awesome cards.  You'll also be able to find out who the lucky winner is of our last challenge!

Mos Digital and Friday Sketchers

Thanks everyone for all you good wishes for travelling today - think they worked as it was a breeze really (apart from the man next me having a conversation with himself about how the country has gone to the dogs!!)  Expect I'll have a pants journey tomorrow!

Posting this card now to meet the deadline over at Mo's Digital challenge where the theme this week is Swirls and Flourishes. I've used this beautiful Glinda the Good Fairy from Wizard of Oz which I just adore! I want Mo to do a Dorothy now!! Coloured with my Promarkers and the papers were from all sorts of places! The swirls and flourishes are a combo of the Sizzix Bigz flourishes and Marianne Creatable flourish. the white felt snowflakes are from Paper Chase and are called Table Scatter but I thought they'd be great to give some dimension on cards! Little bubble pins were on sale at Hobby Craft.

I used the current Friday Sketchers sketch so am also entering it there.

Be back tomorrow with the next challenge at Colour Create - sleep well.
