PFM In or On The Sea

Good morning - hope you've all enjoyed the Easter break - we've loved having family visit over the last couple of weeks, with nieces, sisters, daughter's and future in-laws on our guest list!  And the sun shone so it's been wonderful.  Our daughter, Em and her lovely partner, Jack, leave today but back up in a few weeks so I don't feel so bad at saying goodbye!

Anyhoo, on to today's card and it's for Passion for Markers and our lovely Lorraine on team 1 has chosen a theme of  In or On the Sea - just right as the weather is warming up!

Animal Magic at Passion for Markers

Passion for Markers

I love these little bird stamps from Marianne Designs and don't use them enough so was very happy to see that out theme at  this week is Animal Magic!

I coloured him in with my Copics then masked him off and used one of the new Colourful Silhouette Circle stamps from Marianne to stamp the background with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide.  I dabbed the ink pad onto the stamp then spritzed with some water before stamping to get this lovely loose sky background that's a little bit spotty and matches the papers perfectly!  The twig wreath die and leaves are new too!  Perfect for a little spring scene - the birds have all been so busy in our garden!

Beautiful flower stamp and die combo from Marianne Designs

Anything Spring at Passion for Markers

Hello there bloggers - I'm really starting to get more active with my not-so broken ankle now - it's been nearly nine weeks and I feel that life is starting to get back to something resembling normal.

Which is just as well as it is my turn to choose the theme of this week's challenge at Passion for Markers.  As sprng is now officially sprung I've gone with a theme of Anything Spring - and nothing says spring to me quite like a vase or jug or even jam jar of flowers!

I love the tiny flower die -it comes from a frame set that has lots of lovely little dies that are so useful separately as well as part of the whole set!  Oh, and the cute little rabbit is from Charlie and Paulchen, a German company.

Passion for Markers - Clean and Simple

Morning everyone - well, this is the first card I've made since breaking my ankle 7 weeks ago as it's only now that I can get in my craft room.  I'm taking it easy as I still need to keep my ankle elevated and it can be a bit uncomfortable trying to craft even with my foot up on a stool!

Still, it is so lovely to be back in my room which is a bit of a mess I must confess!  Today's card is for our latest challenge at Passion for Markers as set by our lovely Sue - with the perfect theme for me of Clean And Simple as I start  crafting again!

Beach Babe

I've been MIA for a few weeks as I broke my ankle about 5 weeks ago and only now am I feeling like engaging fully with social media! I'm  not able to access my craft room either as it is up a couple of steps but hoping that I may get in there this week, now I have an air boot!  I don't think I'll quite be a beach babe for some time thought!

I've got a few cards which I didn't manage to share last year, and this one was for my sister-in-law who had just taken ownership of a beach hut!

Going Dotty at Passion for Markers

Well, it's back to challenges for me at Passion for Markers - this is my first card post this year!  I've been taking a break of sorts from social media just dipping in occasionally but glad to post a card again.  We have a great theme of Going Dotty at Passion for Markers and as we're being sponsored by The Paper Shelter, the team have been working with this fab Panda image- so great to see how different makers use the image.

St Nick for my NIck

 I've been enthralled by all the CAS card making on that group on FB - there really are some wonderful makes and this is the card I made for hubby, Nick - I always try and use a Father Christmas image on his cards so was thrilled to see this one being used by Chris Stokes in the FB group.  It's a jpeg from Hungry Caterpillar.

It;s halfway time at our Christmas Mega Challenge at Passion for Markers

It's the half way mark for our Mega Christmas Challenge at Passion for Markers - but only a few days to the big day and I'm not ready!!  Luckily I made this card a few weeks ago using one of my favourite Mo Manning image from the Valerie in Winter range

The papers are a great 12x12 pad from The Works heere int he UK

Our theme for the Mega Christmas challenge is “anything goes”.  We don't mind what you create for this challenge, as long as you colour with your markers!  You are welcome to make Christmas creations but as the challenge will still be running after the ‘BIG’ day you can of course make any type of creation.  As time is precious for our DT at this time of year we are limiting the number of entries you can make to just 3 for this month long challenge.  Please remember to be eligible for our prizes you must use your markers such as Promarkers, Copics, Spectrum Noir, Karin, Zig Clean Color etc

Marianne Wishes using the Berry die from Advent Window number 14.

I absolutely love the new Poinsettia stamp from Marianne this season and I've used it here a bit like a design paper.   I stamped it in the corner of my square piece of card and then partially just above.  I then coloured it with my Copics and added the die cut poinsettias on top.  Now it's really hidden my coloured pieces but if you look at the next picture it adds some great depth to the card.  I've then used die cuts from the berry die (behind window number 14 on the advent calendar) to add further dimension.

The little fir tree branches are from the Holly Wreath set that I used on my previous card this week - it's all about mixing and matching!  Full list of items used below.

Marianne Designs Advent Window no 11

I'm sharing another card with you today using the cute little birdhouse that is behind window no 11 in the Marianne Designs Advent Calendar.

I cut the Holly Wreath die three times and then stacked them up to add some dimension and did the same with the birdhouse before cutting again in red to get the little heart in the centre. I did the same with the house and then added the fabulous red rhinestones for the berries.

I then cut the wreath in kraft card purely so I could stamp and  heat emboss the sentiment onto Kraft knowing that it would fit snuggly inside the die and I wouldn't have to worry about centralising everything!

It's Advent calendar time - Marianne Snowflakes

 

I'm not sure if you've seen but Marianne have the most fantastic Advent calendar out for us crafters this year - full of delightful Marianne goodies!

 Hopefully, you have opened your calendar by now and you will find this gorgeous little snowflake stamp behind window no 1!  

My card uses the stamp  to create a whole panel of snowflakes as  it stamps randomly with no edges.  I've used it to make a silver embossed panel on my card which matches perfectly with lots of other snowflake goodies in my Marianne collection - details below.
