My first card for Sketch N Stash - Challenge No 54

Time  to show you my very first DT card for the Sketch N Stash Challenge Blog!!  It's been great getting know the lovely ladies there for the last couple of weeks, and they have been such a welcoming, friendly bunch so I feel really at home there with them!

The sketch for this week's challenge has been set by the gorgeous Vicky and here it is:


We have two sponsors for this fortnight's challenge, Kenny K and Meljen!


Meljen Designs

I used this gorgeous Kenny image for my card, although some of the DT at Sketch N Stash have made cards using both designers!! Some fab inspiration there so pop on over and have look.

Very few embellies from me but I felt the image was so strong, the papers too, so not much embellishment was required. This is the first time I've coloured a KK girlie image (with my Promarkers) and I loved her!! Can't remember the maker of the papers, they were in a bargain bin somewhere- but the grungy feel to them is perfect for this little lady  but they have definitely been neglected by me. The Goody Two Shoes badge was cut from Pink Paisley Old School Papers and the spotty paper came from there too -  a far more recent purchase from Crafty Emma's!

    Hiya Julie. This is one funky card. You are right, it doesn't need too much embellsihing because of the fab strong colours and awesome colouring. Have a great week. xxx

    WOW....Julie this is blinking awesome I so love KK they are fab I love their new releases but I was good & only brought 4 lol. You dont need any bellies on here shug its perfect the way it is I really do love this....perfect!!!

    Now THIS is a Julie card even though it doesn't have flowers or ribbons. The papers are divine - so warm and rich - and the image is coloured to perfection! Love the hinges and the sparkly bits (can't tell if they are candy or brads) and the little folded over corner. It's brilliant! Love Lesley
