Felted Hare

Thought I'd share this little guy that I made a couple of months ago - I got a kit from a lovely lady on Facebook.  I do enjoy needle felting and when trying something new I like a little tutorial/instruction sheet to make sure I'm doing something correctly!   This kit was just great with some wool to spare and I think I will now make a few more.

I've also just made a little robin who isn't quite right yet and doesn't have any eyes so will share him at a later date.

Happy Tuesday

Naughty or Nice - merge using three of Mo's images - and 15% off at the minute across the store!

Have you seen the latest release of Two Dollar Digis from Mo?  They are fabulous, this little House being one of them.  (And of course, so versatile). I immediately thought it looked a little like a Gingerbread House so thought it would be great merged with Witches Trick- I flipped it in my merge so it would make my composition more balanced.  I then looked through my images to see which child would fit well and Goodness  with her expression and lollipop fitted the bill perfectly!  (I've also just thought that Cookie Gremlin would be great too! so may have to do that one too!)
There's a couple of Marianne dies there - Anja's Large Ovals (LR0236) for the frame and the snowflake die from the Frame set LR0483.
I then just added the candy cane, copious amounts of Shabby White Frantage and the sentiment tied it all together and means that I can use it as a Christmas card!

Right, we have our lovely Violet this afternoon and she has just woken from her nap so we're going out for a little  walk now!

Tart Tins

The pictures for these aren't great but these are some of the little  vintage tart tins that I made to sell on my stall at the Winter Fair I did a couple of weeks ago. I picked up some old tins last year and was lucky enough to find another batch this year.  I got hubby to drill holes top and bottom this year making it much easier to add a tie at the top and a charm/dangly bit at the bottom!

I love the glass glitter I used - it really adds to the vintage feel.

For some of them it was nice to upcycle old necklaces  to add to the aged style.

This little tin wasn't  vintage like the others but they're something I've had for years and used to use them to hold tea lights.  Little bottle brush trees were quite popular and the light sprays on the tin below were taken from an old Christmas card so I only had a few of these.  That's what makes them so unique though, recycling and using bits that I've collected over the years!

I don't think my pictures really do them justice but I found it hard to get  a good pic!

That's it for now.

It's Beginning To Look a Lot Like Christmas!!

I think I am in full Christmas mode now- I'm busy making Christmas cards and have about 20 to go - which is really good for me at this stage in the game!  Good job then that our theme this week at Passion for Promarkers is Christmas!  Great theme chosen by our very lovely Lisa!
I've chosen yet another gorgeous Mo Manning image - Snow Tot One - to be found here in Mo's Digital Pencil.
I think the papers are Trimcraft but I've lost the front page, I've frantaged a few wooden elements - the snowflake, small trees and sentiment and then of course the snowball and general snowy areas - nothing like a bit of Chunky White Frantage for snow!
There's also a few die cut trees from Marianne - Large Spar Tree (LR0378), Tiny's Pine Trees (CR1287) and small Fir Tree (LR0136).
Our fabulous sponsor this week is Digistamp Boutique  and they are offering the winner a fab £10 voucher to spend in their store.

Brusho Christmas Song cards

These are a few more of the Christmas cards I made using Brushos to create the background of the tree panels.  I then matched them up with some papers, these fabulous Carol stamps from Marianned designs as well as the wintery tree dies and some of the deer.   I think the tree stamp is from Lavinia Stamps.
I did the brusho backgrounds in lots of different colours, practising really and the did look a bit messy but once I'd cut them down and positioned the other elements I was really pleased with how they turned out!

This sunset -hued one isn't normally the colours I go for but I must admit to really loving it.  This deer and sleigh are two separate Marianne dies that I joined together using the Celestial Stars die from the Embossing folder/die combo set.

This is a slightly different colour way but just as pretty.

And a love this purple one!

Full list of Marianne products just below.

Dashing - not just for Christmas either

I love cars with Christmas trees on - and I've even made my own over the years - with toy cars of course!  So you can imagine that I love this image from Mo called Dashing - and not least because Nick had a red mini when I first started going out with him 38 years ago!!!!!  I made a few of these cards recently and as you can see have left them fairly  CAS as they may need to be posted to their recipients.
I love this sentiment with it.
I'll Be Home for Christmas also works really well too as does the dark green paper against Kraft.

With this set you also get a car without the tree on top so you can use it for other occasions such as congrats on passing driving tests!  Click here to take you to the image in Mo's store.

Alcohol Ink Tiles

Here are a few of the alcohol ink tiles that I made for the Craft Fair last weekend.  I don't have a full picture of the top one which was actually my favourite and the first one I made!
The four smaller set of tiles above I made for Harry for his new flat - I love the way the mixatives shimmer and shine through them.
Another jewel-toned one and then the one below is another favourite made with mostly light tones.

I then added either cork or felt to the bottoms which gave them a nice finish.  I then gave them at least two layers of spray seal to protect them.

They are so enjoyable to make as you never know what you're going to get!

Winter Wonderland

This is one of  my winter scene cards that appeared in Making Cards magazine last month, using all Marianne products.  I loved using a combination of old and new products to create this little scene, not least the new bendy card die set, which gives such a lovely dimension to your card and is perfect for ski slopes!
All Marianne Products used Below

Bendy Card Die - CR1402
Hetty's Winter Trees Stamp - HT1610
Hetty's Happy Snowmen Set - HT1609
Winter Wonderland Sentiment Die - CR1347
               Chalet Die - COL1328
               Skis Die Set - CR1252
Large Spar Tree Die - LR0378
Small Christmas Tree Die - LR0136
               Eline's Sweet Stars Papers - PB7051
               Aqua Colour Papers - PK9147

I wonder if that is hot chocolate or coffee trasch in that mug!  I know I always needed  a few coffee trasches to help me ski!!

I think the starry paper is just perfect for the sky background and the green tones from the Aqua colour paper pads make perfect die cut Christmas trees!

I added a few snowflakes and some glitter to complete the wintery scene.
Thanks for popping in!

Sizzix Flower Fairies

I bought these Sizzix flower fairies many years ago from a sale on the Sizzix site and have only now found some time to play with them.  I thought they'd be perfect on my stall at the craft fair and made a few Christmassy ones as well as others that I thought could be out all year round - lovely in a little girl's room.

I coloured the faces and bodies with my Promarkers  and then matched them up with some 12 x 12 papers which were big enough to fit the large die.   I then matched them up with some old large petals that I had for their skirts and bits of ribbon and embroidery to make them all individual.

I was thinking I'd need to find some split pins until my daughter Em pointed out that I had drawers full of them but called Brads!!  Honestly!!

I added some Stickles Glitter  and they were done.

Back soon with some more goodies to share.

Oh Deer It's Christmas!

I did my first proper craft fair over two days last weekend and I was really pleased with how it went.  I made up some packs of these two cards and they went down really well.  The Stag die is from Marianne Designs as is the Oh Deer sentiment.  Details below:

Stag Head die- LR0177
Oh Deer sentiment from Christmas sentiments set - CS0980

I love this sentiment and I love  the little polyester ball that I shrunk down with my heat gun to make his red nose!
That's it then  - two really simple cards but quite effective I think.  I'll have more of my stall items for sale to share with you over the next few days.
