Make it Feminine at Passion for Promarkers

We have a brand new challenge starting today over at A Passion for Promarkers, with a fab and easy theme chose by the lovely Coops -  Make it Feminine.  I've decorated an MDF Babygro that I bought from Anna-Marie Designs at Ally Pally the other week.  One of my soon-to-be ex-workmates is expecting a baby girl so I thought I'd make her this before I leave.  The wonderfully giggly baby is called Happy (c),funnily enough, by Mo Manning and can be found here, along with other versions.

The girl letters came with the Babygro plaque and I covered it with Shabby Pink Frantage for a bit of sparkle.  I don't colour dark skins nearly enough but am actually quite pleased with how she turned out in the end.  Don't ask me what colours I used as I tried so many, although I know Cinnamon and Cocoa were in the mix!
The fab sentiment is from Lili of the Valley and I think it's just about my most favourite sentiment for baby cards etc. The flowers are mostly from Wild Orchid Crafts, and the bow-edged die is a Marianne die, as are the little shoes.

Our sponsors for this challenge are Bugaboo Stamps and they are giving us an amazing 7 digi stamps to pass onto the winner of this week's challenge.

This is our sketch for this week, and I've used a fabulous Rick St Dennis image for my card.
I chose this creepy guy, Reaper, for my card- bit too creepy for a birthday card but I knew my husband would love it for his birthday, especially as he shipped a very similar figure over from California last year!
The papers are also from our Californian trip, the flourish corner is a Sizzix die and the sentiments are Stampin Up,

That's all from me for today but don't forget to check out the wonderful makes of my SNS teamies here.
Have a  great week,

Blog Hop at Mo's Dream Team - Fall Colours and Images

Hello bloggers! Can you believe we're already near the end of September- and it was dark when I got up for work this morning!  Still it's lovely to see all the autumn colours and our lovely Alice has taken  inspiration from the season for our monthly blog hop over on Mo's Dream Team with a theme of Fall colours or images.
Hopefully you should have arrived here from Gretha's fabulous blog or you can start back at the beginning of the hop over at Alice's.
I've chosen the stunning Amanita for my card - LOVE her!!
Lots of die-cuts in use, including the Scarecrow from Frantic Stamper and a new Rosehip and Leaf die from Joanna Sheen.  I've also used more cheapy cheap cheap papers from our holiday in California last year.

Your next stop on the hop is over to the delightful Debby.  The full order of the hop is below- and don't forget to leave a comment on each blog as there are two $5 dollar vouchers hidden somewhere for you to win!!

Digi challenge at PFP

There's a new challenge starting today over at  a Passion for Promarkers with a theme of using something digital - either your image or your papers!  Easy one for me as I love my digi images and the versatility they give you.  I've printed my image - Fortune Teller from Mo's Digital Pencil -  quite large scale, as I wanted it to take centre stage - she certainly does that!
The papers are from Recollection and were part of the mountain of paper that we brought back from California last year - I couldn't leave it behind - 12x12 pads for 4 dollars, about £2.50!
The flowers are cut with an EK Success punch and the sentiment is from Hero Arts.

This week's fab theme has been chosen by our lovely Marie, and you can check our her gorgeous card, along with the rest of the DT cards here - hope they'll give you some inspiration!
And we're being sponsored by the fabulous Digi Stamp Boutique who are offering the lucky winner a £10 voucher to spend in their store!

Sketch N Stash New Challenge

Eek - it's my last week at work!  Just where have the last three months gone?  Still not much further with our move either, but am looking forward to some time out - already got a week full of  stuff starting with Ally Pally on Sunday - anyone else going?
Back to today's card and it's for our new challenge over at Sketch N Stash using the sketch below.
We also have two fabulous sponsors for this challenge, as below.
Sponsor - Crafty Indivduals

Prize

sponsor - My Creative Classroom
Prize online workshop

For my card, I've used a gorgeous digi image from All Dressed Up called All Dressed Up for Christmas and I've coloured her with my Promarkers, and added Frantage for a bit of glimmer and sparkle.
The sentiment is one of the new Christmas ones from Lili of the Valley and layered up on a Stampin Up bauble punch - I think that is my old item used from Stash.
The teeny crackers are a Joanna Sheen die and then I've added lots of Frantage - Vintage Lilac and Aged Silver.
Hope you will find some time to come and play with us over the next fortnight and you can see the rest of the gorgeous DT makes here over at Sketch N Stash,
Have a great week.

Mo Merge Madness!

I've gone a bit nuts on merging images at the minute - I just love how you can do this and create a great scene out of two images - a real advantage of digital images.  For my card today, I merged two Mo Manning images from Mo's Digital Pencil - Sheep and Little Bo - an obvious merge but fun none the less!
Now, in some ways you may think that the perspective is out with my giant sheep but I rather like the irony of it that she still can't find her flock even if they are bigger than her!!  I've coloured my image with a mix of Promarkers, Trias and Shinhan Touch markers and added some flowers, Butterfly dies from Joanna Sheen and Joy craft.  The papers are from the Prima Madeline pad, the large picket fence is a Tim Holtz die and the small one a Memory Box die.  Finally, my sentiment is word-processed and cut with a Stampin Up punch. Oh and my sheep are from a new Joanna Sheen Christmas die - Shepherds.  (The little  sheep right by Little Bo's feet is a wooden one bought at a craft fair.

I think that might be done merging for a little while but  who knows!!

Golden Wedding

This is the card I made for my husband's Aunt and Uncle, Vic and Vina, who celebrated their golden wedding over the weekend - 50 years, isn't that amazing - congratulations!!
My papers are from a Marianne pad, Vintage Rose, I think, then I've used a lot of Frantage, old lace and distressing so that it looked like it was 50 years old!!
I also decorated a box for it, one purchased from Tracy Payne some time ago, check them out here - she has two sizes to choose from and it makes it so easy to present your card as a keepsake.
I've used several dies, including a Sizzix doily die to frame the image, an Anja corner die by Marianne, and a heart die from Magnolia.  The photo stamp just peeking out by the angel is from Lili of the Valley and the little angel was a present from my daughter, Em, from when she travelled round Europe last year.
Huge congratulations  Vic and Vina!!

Passion for Promarkers - Back to School!

I cannot believe that we are at the start of September already and it's  back to school time!  However, it is and that's our theme over at Passion for Promarkers as chosen by our lovely Lou.  I used this gorgeous Lili of the Valley stamp and matched her up with some papers from October Afternoon which I got from Simon Says Stamp as part of their September project kit.  Love the stickers that came with it and the name tape Washi tape!!

The rest of my embellies were from my stash.
We have the wonderful Whiff of Joy sponsoring our challenge this week and you could win a stamp of your choice!

Don't forget to look at the awesome makes by the rest of my teamies at PFP here!
