My piccie at Colour Create!!

Hi there, hopefully Mr Blogger is still behaving and publishing my scheduled posts!!  Hopefully we are having a great family holiday in the Lakes with lots of Sun and dry weather!!  Not so sure we'll  be lucky with the latter bit but this is my card for our next challenge at Colour Create as chosen by me!!
Here's the inspiration picture I chose - isn't it the cutest child's kitchen - and my colours are Green, Pink and White with the optional extra of Cooking.
28 July - Challenge 76 - Julie - Pink White Green
I dusted off this luvverly Whiff of Joy image and coloured with my PMs. The papers are a mix of Basic Grey and Papermania Garden Party - also made the roses out of this paper.
The leaves are a  Sizzix Bigz Die and I've distressed all the edges for a bit of texture.
As I'm scheduling this post I can't be sure who our sponsor is this week at Colour Create but you can be sure it will be a fab prize and you can also be sure that the rest of the DT have got some wonderful makes to share with you!  I'll catch up with your lovely cards when I'm back!!

Animal Crackers at PFP

Oooh I'm really cracking on with my Christmas cards now - number two, here, for our new challenge at Passion for Promarkers!  And the theme is Animal Crackers as chosen by the lovely Tracy. We're being sponsored by Letraset this week and they're offering a great Stamping Kit to the lucky winner, so you get cracking now!!

I've gone with this gorgeous LOTV stamp- bought nearly a year ago at the NEC and just inked up!!  The new Ultra Fine Nibs were just fab for this image with all it's little corners and fiddly bits! My papers are My Mind's Eye.

I've used a couple of Marianne Dies for the tree and snowflake, and the Santa postcard and corners on the image are from a Viva Decor stamp set.

Thanks for looking, and hope you can join us this week!

Basic Grey and CES Challenges

(Please look further down this post for my CES Challenges DT card)

Hi there - it's double bubble day for me, with two DT cards to post for Basic Grey and CES challenges. I'm also going to be away for a few days so have a few more scheduled posts over the next week.
Firstly it's time for our new challenge at Basic Grey challenges, and we have a gorgeous sketch for you, designed by our uber -talented and uber lovely, Heather.

I absolutely loved using it and hope you will too.  You could win a $25 voucher to spend with our regular sponsor, Simon Says Stamps, so hope you can join us!

Photobucket

For my card, I've used this super new image from Sugar Nellie, one of the Pips!! I've also used one of my favourite colour combos of blue and tan or Kraft.  I've used two lots of Basic Grey papers - Pyrus and Out of Print - both purchased from Crafty Emma's.  ( And the flowers!!)
I also succumbed recently and bought this fabulous Tim Holtz Weathered Clock die - I know I won't regret that purchase, love it!! ( Think my fabbie Teamie, Liz, thinks the same - snap!!  -Actually, it was her cards using it, amongst others, that made it a must have purchase for me).
I matched it with a sentiment from Lili of the Valley which works perfectly, me thinks.  The mesh is cotton scrim from B&Q as pointed out by the fabby Coops, thanks for the pointer!!

Now onto my card for our new challenge at CES Challenges and we have a theme of Funny/Humourous as chosen by our super woman Sue!! I'm not that great at humorous and the best I could come up with was using this great Kenny K image with his rather cheesy grin.  I then remembered that I had this brilliant Cat's Life Press sentiment, bought from Crafty Emma's store, so matched them together - kinda funny?  You decide!
I've used more October Afternoon papers, and coloured with my Promarkers, and used the new Ultra Fine Nibs - love these!!!  These can be bought from Emma's along with the Divine Twine, Card Candy, the card blank, and of course the sentiment.  Oh and can you spot where I hadn't quite let the glue dry when I took my pic!!
Just a little sideways view to show you and that's the pics for you.

Don't forget that the lovely Emma is offering a £10 voucher to spend in her store, for one lucky winner so get gluing!!!  Also take a look at all the fab cards from both teams- brilliant makes!!
Have a great weekend whatever you're up to - seems the rain's going to stop in the UK for a few days, so make the most of it.

It's blog hop time at Mo's!

Happy Thursday bloggy buddies!  It's time for our monthly blog hop at Mo's Dream Team!
This month the hop is being hosted by the fabulous Alice and she has chosen Easel cards as her theme.
I've chosen this beautiful image from Mo called Dancing With Grandpa and you can find it here over at Mo's Digital Pencil.
My papers are from Stamping up and the sentiment is from there too, framed with a Waltzing Mouse stamp and cut with a matching Nestie.
I've coloured with my Promarkers -  and not done too much else apart from the ribbon for a bit of a flourish!
And a sideways view just to see the easel.
As I said the hop is starting at Alice's blog so pop over there to make sure you start at the beginning and don't miss any of the fabulous makes by my fabulous teamies!  If  you're already hopping, the next stop for you is at the awesome Heidy's blog!  Here's the full order for you just in case you get lost!

There's two $5 dollar certificates to spend in Mo's Digital Pencil,  hidden on a couple of the blogs so don't forget to leave a comment on everyone you visit as it could be you who's one of the lucky winners!!

PFP day and a sketch!

Hello, Tuesdays are PFP day and this week, our fabulously talented Michele has drawn this gorgeous sketch for you!
pfp
We're being sponsored  by Some Odd Girl, and the lucky winner could win three digi images of their choice- and  they are such cute images!
I've gone with this luverly Sassy image however, from Sugar Nellie, and teamed her up with more October Afternoon Papers, The Modern Home Maker.
After I had coloured my image onto white card stock, it seemed too stark against the papers, so I just took a Promarker and changed the the background colour to tone it in!
The flowers round the edge of the image, to match the papers, are from a very underused set of border stamps from The English Stamp Company. The recipe stamp is from LOTV.
Hope you'll play along with us at Passion for Promarkers this week, how can you resist that fab sketch!!

Clickety Click - 66!

That's the number of the next challenge at Sketch N Stash, with a wonderful sketch drawn by the lovely Jackie!

I loved this sketch and I'm sure it's one I shall use again.
Our premise at Sketch N Stash is that you use the sketch and then use items in your stash that are new and also something that is more than 6 months old!!  Lots of new goodies for me here, including October Afternoon Thrift Store papers (Love loads of the new October Afternoon pads with a capital L!!), Lili of the Valley Sentiment, Hanglar Stamp and flowers! I've had the leaf punch and my promarkers for ages though!!
We're being sponsored this week by Whimsy stamps with a fabby $15 voucher up for grabs to the lucky winner:

Hope you can join us and don't forget to tell us what is new and what is not so new from your stash!
Have a happy week!

Happy Christmas from us all at CES Challenges!!

Morning peeps, I'm a bit late this morning as I had a bit of lie-in!!!
We're celebrating Christmas at CES Challenges this week - and are you ready!!! I'm certainly not - this is the first Crimbo card that I've made this year and I normally need to make around the 100 mark!!
I couldn't wait to use this new Mo Manning image, Little Sugar Plum Fairy, she is just so cute and a delight to colour and you can buy her here. I matched her with these fabulous Webster's Christmas Papers and Webster's trim available from Crafty Emma's Store (as are Promarkers and the 6x6 card stock!).
This is the bit where my mojo took it's Christmas break!!  I'd coloured, chosen my papers and my embellies but couldn't put it all together, so I feel the finished card is a little, well, flat, I suppose.   I love the little Marianne Creatable village dies but haven't used them in a very creative way!  You live and learn.
As always, if you can join in our Challenge at CES, you could win a yummy £10 voucher(excluding postage) to spend in Crafty Emma's Online store - and Emma has loads of new goodies on preorder with 20% off if you can wait a little!  I promised myself to stop buying papers, but the new  ones coming in are so lush, that I couldn't resist this offer!!  And, it doesn't really count does it, if you're not going to see them on your doorstep straight away!!
 Happy Saturday lovely bloggers!!

Colour Create No 75! Don't think mine are quite right!!!

Hello there, - you might need your sunnies for this card, as my cream is more gold, my aqua is more green and my pink is virtually non-existent apart from her skin.
This is the picture for our new challenge at Colour Create as chosen by our fabulous Di.  Well, I look at it and all I can see is Green and Gold but my wonderful teamies have clearly seen something very diffferent - or perhaps they read the text and didn't just look at the picture!!
14 Jul - Challenge 75 - Di
Di has chosen Aqua, Cream and Pink as her colours, a beautiful colour palette but mine is definitely more Green and Gold!! At least I got the optional extra of Ribbon right!! Shame, 'cos  I was pleased with the end result!! (Note to self - make sure you read the words!!!)
Anyway, I've used this fabulous and new Sweet Pea stamp that I bought from my lovely blogging cyber sister's new online store, the Artful Splodger!  And as I went to the Craft Barn on Saturday with bestest matey, Lesley, for a day of watercolouring with a fabulous teacher, Lina McDermott, I'd thought I'd get my distress inks out and practise what I was taught!!
Not perfect, but practise gets you there!  Anyway, I thought her hat was reminiscent of the inspiration photo too and then thought I'd add the Tim Holtz cage.  I've made the hinges from the edge of a spellbinder sentiment frame, and a few other metal pieces added round and about!  I did want to add some beads with jump rings at the bottom but only had silver ones, so had to for go these.

I rather liked the Tim Holtz sentiment ticket, Soar, with the Bird Cage theme!
Now do go and check out the awesome creations from my lovely teamies at Colour Create and you'll see what I've been rambling on about as far as the colours are concerned!! I can't wait to see your interpretations of the colours too, and don't forget that if you do join in with us over the next fortnight, you could win a a yummy voucher to spend at Michelle's Scrapbooking, our fab regular sponsor!

Right, that's me done, and thanks so much for all your lovely comments, I really am thrilled to receive them, I know it takes time to leave comments at every blog you visit!
